Black Ballade

Template:Heartless/KH The Black Ballade (ブラックバラード, Burakku Barādo) is an Emblem Heartless that is found in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.

The Black Ballade is a member of the strange family of musical Emblem Heartless. Almost every Heartless in the family have names referring to their color and a form of music. A ballade is a one-movement musical piece with lyrical and dramatic narrative qualities.

When battling a Black Ballade, Sora had to watch it split into five. From those, Sora had to find the one who jumped, indicating that it was the real one. Attacking otherwise would've led to an unavoidable shock. Black Ballade Heartless are the only Heartless in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix to drop a Thunder Stone.

Using the art of multiplying, this Heartless confuses its foes. If you attack any of the copies rather than the real one, it will get a chance to attack back and, eventually, will end up fleeing. But if you keep a good eye on the real one and attack it continuously...

• Organization XIII Mushroom #10 bears the same fighting style as the Black Ballade, in that the player has to hit the right Heartless, or be attacked.
