Those jet packs and ray guns may be toys, but these "masked intruders" are anything but fun and games when they come barreling your way.

They'll sometimes chuck grenades your way, but that's not necessarily bad news. After letting it fly, they'll hit the deck. Kick 'em while they're down! Or, if you're feeling fancy, a well-timed Keyblade swing will return those grenades to sender.

The Toy Trooper is an Emblem Heartless that appears in Kingdom Hearts III.

Story[edit]

Kingdom Hearts III[edit]

Since Toy Box was split from its original world, Toy Troopers have periodically appear in Andy's House to torment the toys as part of Young Xehanort's experiment.

When Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrive in Andy's Room, the Toy Troopers appear once again, but were unable to find Woody and his friends, who were planning a surprise attack on them from atop of Andy's bed. However, the Toy Troopers are instead taken out by Sora, Donald, and Goofy. At Galaxy Toys, Young Xehanort commands Toy Troopers to take command of the Gigas, to attack the heroes and the toys. Buzz later sees a Toy Trooper falling out of the cockpit, realizing the the Gigas were not moving on their own.

Design[edit]

As an enemy exclusive to Toy Box, Toy Troopers appear as action figure-like Heartless. It has a grey uniform featuring a Heartless emblem on its chest as well as a yellow belt containing two packs on each side. Its face mask and hands are black, with a pair of blue goggles over its eyes, an orange earpiece on each side of its head, and a blue cranium. On its backpack is a white and yellow jetpack, and the toy ray gun it wields is plain white with blue insides and a blue spike coming out the barrel.

Strategy[edit]

Kingdom Hearts III[edit]

Toy Troopers have low defense and are easily defeated on their own, and as such tend to appear in groups or alongside other stronger enemies. Watch for when they slide along the ground and fire their ray gun in a manner similar to Double Arrowguns, as the shots have a wide spread. They don't travel especially fast however, so they can be easily dodged past to where the Toy Trooper will likely be vulnerable after its attack.

Watch for when they're flying through the air on their jetpacks, as this is when they will use their kick attack. The kick can be blocked for the usage of Risk Dodge. They also have a grenade attack, which can be deflected with a physical attack, or simply dodged past to where the Toy Trooper will be stunned after the usage of this attack.

Toy Troopers will always attempt to maintain a moderate distance, adjusting themselves if they are too distant or too close to an opponent. They also have a weakness to Blizzard magic which can be exploited.
