Rapunzel first appeared in the 2010 Disney animated film ''Tangled'', inspired by the protagonist of the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale. Rapunzel is the lost princess of Corona who was kidnapped as a baby from her parents Queen Arianna and King Frederic by a greedy woman named Mother Gothel, who seeks to use the magical powers of Rapunzel's hair to live as long as possible. Having been imprisoned by Gothel for eighteen years in a secluded tower with only her pet chameleon [[Pascal]] for other friendship, Rapunzel has developed a strong desire to explore the outside world, but Gothel tries to end this desire by saying it is a cruel and dangerous place. Rapunzel is a character from the Kingdom of Corona in Kingdom Hearts III. She originated in the Disney film Tangled.
She lives with Mother Gothel and Pascal in a secluded tower.
Story
Kingdom Hearts III
On her birthday, Rapunzel crosses paths with a criminal named Flynn Rider. She blackmails him into helping her see the flying lanterns which mysteriously appear on her birthday each year. After leaving her tower, she encounters Sora, Donald and Goofy. She is bewildered by the nature of the outside world.
Appearance
Rapunzel is a young woman with inhumanly long blonde hair and green eyes. She wears a pinkish-purple dress with white sleeves, and is barefoot.
Personality
Rapunzel is kind. Due to her sheltered lifestyle, she often comes across as socially awkward.
