Vor is a character in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road. She is one of Xehanort's and Eraqus's classmates and a fellow Keyblade wielder.

Story[edit]

Kingdom Hearts Dark Road[edit]

Vor is a student training under Odin in Scala ad Caelum, alongside her fellow lower classmen Xehanort, Eraqus, Hermod, Urd, Bragi, and Baldr. One day, Urd and her classmates, excluding Baldr, are summoned to class, where Odin informs them that the upper classmen have gone missing, and asks them to search the other worlds for the missing students. Odin explains how to travel between worlds, and gives the lower classmen Keyblade Armor to protect them. The lower classmen split into groups for the search. After searching another world, the groups then head to Wonderland.

While fighting Heartless, Vor is captured and detained by Card Soldiers along with her two classmates, and are then put on trial for trespassing and disturbing the peace. As the Queen of Hearts declares them guilty, their remaining classmates intervene.

Vor, Xehanort, and Eraqus are informed by the Cheshire Cat that their friends have been locked up. The trio are soon accosted by Card Soldiers, but the Card Soldiers quickly leave to attend a trial, and the trio follow them in order to rescue their friends. After listening in, they decide to intervene.

The darkness in the Queen of Heart's heart summons the Ferry Reaper, which the lower classmen fight off. After fighting it off, the lower classmen regroup, and speculate that darkness is responsible for the upper classmen's disappearance. Vor notices Xehanort and Eraqus talking by themselves, and they suggest they should stay behind to continue investigating. Vor offers to go with them.

Xehanort agrees to let Vor accompany them. After the others leave, Vor begs to know why Xehanort and Eraqus wanted to stay, but as they begin to tell her their plan, they are interrupted by Tweedledum and Tweedledee. After meeting more confusing residents of Wonderland, they return to the Queen of Hearts to interrogate her on her motivations. Her darkness summons the Furious Reaper, which the group defeats.

The lower classmen once again reconvene at Scala ad Caelum, discussing potential leads and how the nature of darkness could help them find the upper classmen. After splitting into groups again, Xehanort, Eraqus, and Vor travel to the Dwarf Woodlands. Vor gets lost at the castle and spies on the Queen talking to the Magic Mirror. When the Queen leaves, Vor asks the mirror if she'll ever become a Keyblade Master, and it tells her she won't progress by settling in the comfort of friendship. Vor is dismayed, but rejoins Xehanort and Eraqus, where they overhear the dwarfs Doc, Grumpy, and Happy worrying over their trapped comrades. Vor runs off to assist them, and lifts away a large boulder to free the trapped dwarfs. As they thank her, Heartless appear, and Vor and her friends hold them off while the dwarfs get to safety. Afterwards, Vor brings Xehanort and Eraqus to the Magic Mirror. They ask it about the missing upper classmen, but its answer is interrupted by the Queen, who uses a potion to suck Vor, Xehanort, and Eraqus into the mirror.

After defeating the Magic Mirror and escaping, they once again attempt to ask the Magic Mirror about Vidar's location, but Vidar's sudden arrival interrupts them. Vidar notices Vor seems preoccupied and invites her to join him. Eraqus attempts to convince her to stay, but Xehanort says she should embrace change. Vor decides to leave with Vidar, and the two depart through a portal.

Vor travels with Vidar to other worlds, following his, Vala, and Vali's goal to upset the worlds' orders and find the seven pure lights in the chaos. Vor and Vidar arrive in Agrabah to find the magic lamp, which is essential to Agrabah's world order. There, they encounter the other lower classmen. Eraqus attempts to convince Vor to return, but she refuses and leaves with Vidar once again.

Vor and Vidar eventually return to Scala ad Caelum with Vala and Vali, having given up on their quest. Vor leaves to the central tower to report to Odin that she has returned. Before she is able to find him, she is found by Baldr, who is possessed by darkness. Baldr boasts about the deaths of the other students, leading Vor to attack him. She is soon rejoined by Vidar, Vala, and Vali, but Baldr summons the Hringhorn to fight them, and it kills Vidar, Vala, and Vali as Xehanort and Eraqus arrive. Soon afterward, Baldr strikes down Vor as well, and Xehanort and Eraqus tearfully tell her goodbye as she fades away.

Design[edit]

Vor (Keyblade Armor)
Vor's Keyblade Armor.

Vor is a short girl with pale skin, turquoise eyes, and cowlicked, chin-length dirty-blond hair, with left-swept bangs, a long lock on each side which curls upward, and short pigtails in the back. She wears a high-necked white shirt that flares out at the bottom with a triangular cut out in the front and gold trim, two criss-crossing turquoise straps forming an "X" over her chest, with a gold Terra's Mark pendant on a blue bolo tie at the intersection, and a yellow-brown-and-white striped obi-sash. She also wears puffy violet shorts, long black socks, and black-toed white boots with gold trim and large, folded-over cuffs held up by black rivets. Over this, she wears a long purple cloak with a gradient and a bubble pattern, gold trim, and blue inner lining. The cloak has wide, over-long sleeves which cover her hands, a high collar held closed with a buttoned flap, and a large blue cord attached to the midsection with a buckle and tied into two large loops at the back.

Vor's Keyblade Armor is primarily black and metallic lilac with white-gold highlights. Her helmet is grey with a metallic lilac front piece that is higher up than typical, exposing more of her purple visor.

In Norse mythology, Vör is a goddess associated with wisdom.

Personality[edit]

Though blessed with tremendous magical potential, Vor avoids taking part in battle and has yet to showcase her true power. She brightens the mood with her relaxed and cheerful nature.

She is shown to worry over if she would ever become a Keyblade Master to the point of leaving her friends to advance her goals.

Abilities[edit]

Like her classmates, Vor wields the Keyblade. In battle, she specializes in boosting her allies' magic with Magic Boost. She has deceptively strong physical strength and is able to lift boulders almost as large as she is.
