The Sergeant (サージェント Sājento) is a Heartless boss that appears in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. A larger version of the Soldier, it is golden in coloration. The Sergeant served as a challenge to Roxas on his first mission to Beast's Castle. The Sergeant is fought on Days 73, 78, and 94. It is also fought in the Bizzarre Room and Lotus Forest in Wonderland with Luxord.

Blocking works well against these mid-sized Heartless to stop their various kick attacks and create an opening.
You can also nullify their attacks and trip them up by hitting them with a combo finisher when they start kicking.

Strategy
Battling the Sergeant shouldn't be a challenge. Its large size doesn't help it at all in battle, making it rather easy for attacks to connect. While you may wish to attack repeatedly, this is not advised, as the Heartless will counter after a while with a powerful kick. This is the only attack in this boss' arsenal. It will not attack otherwise. Defeat the Sergeant, and it's Mission Complete.
