Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
  • Opening - The opening cinematic plays. Once it ends, Sora finds himself on a green stained glass platform depicting Snow White.
  • Station of Awakening - On a yellow platform depicting Belle, Sora steps into a ray of light. His elongated shadow comes to life and morphs into a monstrous Darkside. Sora defends himself against the monster, but is engulfed in a pool of darkness.
  • Was It a Dream? - Sora awakens on a beach on Destiny Islands, his ordeal apparently a dream. He is startled by Kairi, who teases him for taking a nap. As the two talk about the idea of exploring other worlds, their friend Riku approaches and admonishes them for slacking off instead of helping him build their raft. The three friends decide to race and see who can finish the raft the fastest.
  • The Outside World - At the end of the day, Sora, Riku, and Kairi discuss using their raft to find Kairi's childhood home. Riku expresses his desire to escape the doldrums of island life, and credits Kairi's arrival on their world as his inspiration. As the three prepare to head home, Riku gives Sora a paopu fruit, said to intertwine the destinies of two who pair it.
  • Disney Castle - At Disney Castle, Donald Duck makes his morning rounds to greet King Mickey, only to find him missing, leaving nothing but a letter in Pluto's care. Panicking, Donald rushes to tell Goofy, intending to keep it a secret from Queen Minnie and Daisy Duck, only to find the two standing behind him and expecting an explanation.
  • This World Has Been Connected - Sora goes to the island's "secret place", a cave with a mysterious, lockless door. Sora looks over a doodle he and Kairi made of each other's faces as children, and adds an arm giving Kairi a paopu fruit to the picture. He then notices a hooded figure dressed in a brown robe lurking in the shadows. The robed figure cryptically states that the world has been "connected" and will soon be eclipsed in darkness. Sora realizes the figure must be from another world; the figure scoffs at Sora's "meaningless" dream to explore other worlds, and then vanishes.
  • A Lucky Charm - Kairi shows Sora a Wayfinder she has been making from thalassa shells, calling it a lucky charm to ensure that they will find each other if they are ever separated. (text only)
  • Across the Ocean - With their raft finished, Sora and Kairi talk about how Riku has changed and how excited they are to finally set sail the next day, confident that they can return home no matter what happens.
  • The Letter - At Disney Castle, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, and Daisy read over the contents of the king's letter: he has left to investigate why other worlds have been suddenly disappearing, requesting that Donald and Goofy find the one who possesses a certain "key" that will ensure their survival. Per the king's instructions, Donald and Goofy set out on their Gummi Ship to find Leon in Traverse Town; Minnie sends Jiminy Cricket, a survivor of his world's disappearance, to accompany them as a chronicler.
  • The Keyblade - That night on Destiny Islands, Sora sees a storm brewing and sneaks out of his room to salvage the raft. Once he reaches the shore, he sees the island swarming with Shadows—the same creatures from his dream. He fights his way through the swarm and sees Riku, who says the door to the outside world has opened. He beckons Sora to come with him as he disappears into a portal of darkness. A brilliant light suddenly shines, and when it dims, Sora finds himself clutching a key-shaped sword: the Keyblade. Running to the secret place, Sora finds Kairi standing in front of the door, which blows open and unleashes a powerful gust of wind. Kairi flies towards Sora, but vanishes just as Sora tries grabbing her.
  • Swallowed by Darkness - Sora is thrown outside to see most of the island has been reduced to a single platform floating in midair beneath a swirling orb of darkness. He turns to see another Darkside standing over him. He defeats the monster, and both of them are sucked into the orb above.
  • Where Am I? - Donald and Goofy arrive in Traverse Town to notice a star going out and they hurry to find the key. While looking Goofy suggest finding Leon, meanwhile Pluto sniffs around finding an unconscious Sora waking him up confused Sora wonders where he is asking Pluto but the dog runs off.
  • Leon - While exploring Sora comes across Leon who warns him that the Heartless will continue to come for him as long as he has the Keyblade. But Leon was confused to why it chose him offended Sora asked what he meant but Leon shrugged it off wanting to see the Keyblade; Sora refuses and they get ready for a fight. Sora wins the battle, but he collapses from exhaustion. Yuffie teases Leon for slipping, but Leon claims he went easy on Sora. However, Leon fears that things are worse than they thought.
  • Riku Awakens - Riku awakens in Hollow Bastion separated from his friends then, is found by Maleficent.
  • The Chosen One - While Donald and Goofy continue their search they are approached by Aerith, who asked them if they are looking for the King. At the time, Sora wakes up being told why the heartless were after him regardless he was relieved that Kairi was alright until he was clarified that one he was talking too was Yuffie. She and Leon explain to Sora what' s been going on while Aerith explains the same thing to Donald and Goofy, afterwards Sora didn't want anything to do with the keyblade but was told the blade chooses it's owner. And yet, still confused he was wondered what happened to his home and friends.

  • Off to Another World - After being informed by the Cheshire Cat that the "shadows" have already spirited Alice far away from Wonderland. The three friends leave for the next world. (text only)
  • Olympus Coliseum - Sora, Donald, and Goofy reach the gates of Olympus Coliseum, which is being prepped for a combat tournament. They meet Philoctetes, who mistakes Sora for someone else and asks him to push a pedestal that is much too heavy for him. Once Phil realizes the misunderstanding, he tells the trio that the games are for "heroes only". The three are interested in competing, so Phil lets Sora prove himself through a few training exercises. Sora's Story

Note: The cutscenes for Floors 2 through 10 will vary in order depending on the World Card the player has selected.

  • Opening
  • Promise of a Reunion
  • To Lose and Claim Anew - Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrive in a mysterious castle, where they believe the King may be. The group continues deeper into the castle, running into a mysterious cloaked figure. Donald goes to attack the figure, only to find he is unable to cast any magic spells. The figure explains that as soon as the group entered this castle they forgot every spell and ability they previously knew. Simply put, " to find is to lose, and to lose is to find." The figure tells Sora that he might find people that he misses. Sora believes this to be Riku, inquiring more. The figure creates a card from Sora's memories, giving it to him.
  • Friends Disappearing - Sora arrives in Traverse Town. He exclaims that this can't be right; he is in Castle Oblivion. The figure from before appears explaining that this town is an illusion created by Sora's memories ingrained in a card. Jiminy speaks up saying Donald and Goofy are gone. The figure tells Sora to master the cards and their strength will be his again.
  • Ruled by Cards - As Sora continues wondering around Traverse Town, Donald and Goofy eventually reappear behind him. They explain they saw a bright light as Sora opened the door then nothing else. The figure also reappears, telling Sora he must continue on alone. Despite the objections from Donald and Goofy, Sora agrees with the figure.
  • Leon and Yuffie - While Sora mutters how fighting alone is hard, Donald and Goofy suddenly appear behind him. The group also finds Pluto. While discussing exactly what happened, Leon appears, saying the Heartless will defeat Sora if he is not careful. Leon does not remember anything about the group. He accidentally slips the trio's names, but doesn't know why. Leon sighs that his memory is messed up. Yuffie then walks in, saying Aerith was onto something. Yuffie, although knowing Sora's name, knows nothing more than that. All characters leave, with Leon teaching Sora how to protect himself.
  • A Gift from Leon - Leon gives Sora a gift after completing his training.
  • A Town Made of Memories - The group reunites with Aerith, who says Sora's heart is remembering for them. She claims they don't know him, but Sora does through memories. Those memories connect to their hearts, which tell them things they don't know. In sort, Sora's memories are affecting theirs. Sora leaves to continue the search for someone dear to him.
  • When the Bell Tolls - The group runs into Cid. Sora inquires about his friend, to no avail. Cid explains how only Heartless are here, with the plaza they are currently in being the worst. He continues saying when the bell rings a jumbo sized Heartless will appear. He leaves, advising the group to do the same. The trio remains in the plaza, much to Donald and Goofy's dislike. The bell rings, summoning a Guard Armor.
  • Beware of Your Memories - Aerith and the others join up with Sora again. They leave, wishing Sora luck at finding his friend. As Sora, Donald, and Goofy leave, Aerith comes back, telling Sora the town and even her and the others are fragments of Sora's memory. She goes further saying she isn't really herself. Aerith continues, saying she doesn't remember the things she should, and she senses things she shouldn't. She finishes, saying: "Beware your memories," and that the shadows of his memory will try to decieve him.
  • Got it Memorized? - The group returns to Castle Oblivion, meeting the mysterious figure again, and a new person. A fight begins...
  • When Sleeping Memories Awaken - After the fight, Sora receives another world card. Axel tells Sora to trust his memories; to trust what he remembered and seek what he forgot. Then he will find someone special. Axel also says that Sora has forgotten the light within the darkness. Sora ponders this, saying he'll figure it out. Axel leaves, warning Sora the dangers about his deepest, sleeping memories.
  • An Adventure Forgotten - While continuing in Castle Oblivion, the group discovers they are losing their memories.
  • Saving Aladdin - The group arrives in Agrabah, finding Aladdin surrounded by a group of Shadows. They rush forward, preparing to fight.
  • Genie and the Magic Lamp - More Heartless respawn. Overwhelmed, Aladdin uses the magic lamp and wishes the Heartless away. Genie appears, removing all the Heartless. Once the Heartless are gone, Genie explains how his master has only three wishes, being sure to add that he cannot wish for more. Aladdin and the trio leave, heading towards the Palace.
  • Aladdin's Wish - Goofy asks Aladdin why he is heading to the Palace. Aladdin then explains how Jafar told him to go into the Cave of Wonders and retrieve the magic lamp. Genie speaks up, lamenting how he has been bosses around for 10,000 years with no thanks. Aladdin returns, promising to free Genie with his third wish. Genie, overcome with joy, promises to turn Aladdin into a prince in order to garner her attention.
  • Jasmine in Danger - As the group nears the Palace they find Jasmine surrounded by Heartless. With no time for a fight, Aladdin uses his second wish to save Jasmine. More Heartless appear soon after, with Aladdin preparing to use another wish. Sora interrupts, saying he cannot waste it on the Heartless. Sora finishes, saying they will handle this.
  • Jafar's Ambitions - Aladdin comments how he is down to his final wish. Suddenly, a brilliant flash of light occurs, blinding the group. As they come to, they realize the lamp has been stolen. Jafar and Iago enter, disappointed in Aladdin for not using all three wishes. Jafar brings out the lamp, expressing his intentions of marrying Jasmine with it. Jafar uses his first wish: to bring him Jasmine. Genie takes Jasmine away from Aladdin, much to the group and Genie's disappointment. Jafar leaves, calling Aladdin a foolish pawn. After Jafar leaves, the group devises a plan to save Jasmine.
  • Jafar-Genie - Sora, Donald, and Goofy find Jafar and Jasmine. Jafar inquires of Aladdin's whereabouts, only to shrug it off, preparing to attack the others. Sora calls out to Aladdin, who rushes towards Jafar. Jafar uses another wish, this time to seize Aladdin. Aladdin laughs at Jafar, saying he has wasted his second wish. This however does not deter Jafar, as he uses his final wish to become an all-powerful Genie.
  • The Last Wish - After Jafar is defeated, the group discusses Aladdin's final wish. Genie says to use it to wish for what is in Aladdin's heart. Aladdin ultimately wishes for Genie's freedom. Aladdin explains how if he had used Genie to win Jasmine over, he would be no different than Jafar. Genie gives Sora a summon card to assist them with their search for friends.
  • Journal Pages Vanishing - The group reappears in Castle Oblivion. Goofy talks about the castle where Sora lost his heart. Sora remembers about being a Heartless, but not in a castle. Unable to remember the castle's name, they ask Jiminy to look in his journal. They are shocked to discover that all of Jiminy's journal entries are gone.

Axel explains how when Sora became a Heartless he didn't lose his feelings, emotions, or mind, unlike the others. He also states that only one other person has done such a thing. Larxene concludes that it is the strength of Sora's heart that Axel is curious about. Axel nods, saying the Organization's mission is to unlock the mysteries of the heart.
  • The Good Luck Charm - The group wonders if they have lost any more memories. Goofy shrugs, saying if they did the memories were not important. Sora shows the lucky charm Kairi made him. • Memory of Another - Sora remembers more about the mysterious girl: she too lived on the Islands. Jiminy states that this is the first time Sora has ever mentioned her. Sora sadly explains how he forgot about her after she left the islands when he was still young. Still, Sora cannot remember her name. Determined to figure out the girl's name, the group leaves.
  • Jack, the King of Nightmares - The group walks into Guillotine Plaza, being surprised by Jack's entrance. Jack introduces himself, then explains how Halloween Town is- only to be interrupted by Heartless.
  • Pesky Heartless - After dispatching the Heartless, Jack finishes his previous statement, explaining how the town is overrun by Heartless. He encourages the trio to follow him to Dr. Finkelstein's laboratory to learn more.
  • Dr. Finkelstein's Invention - Jack introduces the genius Dr. Finkelstein, who claims he has created something terrible. The Doctor talks about true memories, explaining how the heart's memories do not always show the truth. He continues, saying even more important memories can change over time. The Doctor finishes, saying he has created a potion that brings a person's true memories back. Jack adds, saying as the Doctor smelts the potion, Heartless appeared. Meanwhile, the Doctor notices the potion is gone. He deduces that Sally must have taken it. The Doctor sends the group to find Sally.
  • Sally's Worries - The group finds Sally alone at Moonlight Hill. Sally confesses that she does have the potion, but will give it back freely. Before doing so though, she expresses her fear of what would happen if someone actually drank it. Oogie Boogie suddenly appears, stealing the potion. He flees, with the group in tow.
  • Oogie's Nightmare - Upon arrival at Oogie's Manor, Jack demands the potion be returned. Oogie refuses, instead drinking the potion's fill. Seconds later, Oogie complains of some deep, scary pain. He steps back, ordering the group to leave.
  • True Memories - After defeating Oogie Boogie, the group takes the empty vial back to Dr. Finkelstein. Jack offers Sora the remaining drops of the potion, only to be declined. Sora recalls his promise with Axel, and is determined to find his true memories on his own. As the Doctor ponders the experiment, Sally concludes that the experiment was a failure. The Doctor argues back, saying true memories unbalance the heart and cause unpredictable changes within. Sora wonders what will happen if his true memories awaken. Jack comments that if the Doctor's hypothesis scares Sora, it only shows Sora has a strong heart.
  • Girl on the Islands - Back in Castle Oblivion, Sora reveals more about the girl. The girl was quiet, and always drawing. In fact, while the others would play on the beach, she would sit and draw. The girl would also draw the others, with Sora and Riku often fighting over who she would draw next. Then, one day the girl was gone. Despite what the adults explained, Sora still cried. Jiminy adds that in order to remember the deeper memories they must forget some. Goofy wonders why himself, Donald, and Jiminy aren't remembering anything.
  • The Key to the Plot - Axel and Larxene discuss how their plan is proceeding nicely. Axel goes to leave, only to have Larxene leave instead. Axel tells Larxene not to break Sora, saying Sora is the key if they want to overthrow the Organization. Larxene tells Axel to keep quiet about that until the time is right. After she leaves, Axel smirks, saying she should have done the same thing.
  • What Was Her Name?
  • Pinocchio and Jiminy - The trio learn from Pinocchio that they are now inside the belly of Monstro the whale. Jiminy comes out, reuniting with Pinocchio. Pinocchio asks how they got inside. The trio replies they don't know. Disappointed, Pinocchio explains how the group's entrance would have allowed him and his father, Geppetto, to leave.
  • Geppetto - Pinocchio takes the group to Geppetto, who is surprised to see Jiminy. Geppetto explains that while searching for Pinocchio he was swallowed by Monstro. Geppetto accepts this reality lightly, glad just to have Pinocchio back. Jiminy sends Sora, Donald, and Goofy to find Pinocchio.
  • Why He Lied - The group finds Pinocchio deep withing Monstro's chambers. Jiminy scolds the puppet for worrying his father with the excursions. Pinocchio reveals that he has been searching for an exit. The group encourages Pinocchio to stop lying, and to tell Geppetto the truth. As Pinocchio runs to tell Geppetto, he is kidnaped by the Parasite Cage.
  • Pinocchio's Courage - Pinocchio is still trapped inside the Heartless. Sora tells Pinocchio to be brave and fight his way out. Pinocchio does so, and eventually frees himself. Once free, Pinocchio proposes the group fight inside Monstro to free themselves. Jiminy orders Pinocchio to return to Geppetto while they go deeper inside Monstro to find a way out.
  • Belly Brawl - The group makes it to the farthest chamber inside Monstro. Heartless appear, prompting the brawl.
  • Monstro's Sneeze - The fracas created by the fighting disturbs Monstro enough to sneeze Pinocchio and Geppetto out.
  • Till We Meet Again - The group is still inside Monstro, now in his mouth. However, Geppetto and Pinocchio have escaped. Jiminy wonders if Pinocchio really needs him. Sora returns that Pinocchio is counting down to their next meeeting.
