According to Chirithy, the five Foretellers, as well as one other Keyblade wielder, were the apprentices of his creator. They each received a tome from the Book of Prophecies and learned of the event that would doom the world. In an attempt to avert this crisis, the Foretellers established Unions to battle the Heartless.fact<!--cite with storylink; specific missions would be ideal-->

Shortly thereafter, the Master gives a copy of the Book of Prophecies to Ava and grants her leadership over the Vulpes Union as its foreteller. As Ava and the other foretellers read their copies of the Book of Prophecies, they are shocked by the final entry, which details an event known as the Keyblade War, during which light would expire and the world would reach its end.

Sometime after Luxu mysteriously disappeared to fulfill his role assigned to him by the Master, the Master meets with Ava alone in the foretellers' Chamber. He instructs her to avoid the imminent battles in favor of gathering Keyblade wielders, regardless of their Unions, to be part of a separate faction called the Dandelions, who would venture to another world in order to ensure the survival of light. The Master provides Ava with a list of five Keyblade wielders she must gather as Dandelions in order to succeed the foretellers as Union leaders following the Keyblade War, with only one of them meant to receive a copy of the Book of Prophecies.Quest 665: Target: Blitz Spear Pt. 5

Ava and her fellow foretellers are soon introduced the Master's latest creation, the Chirithy. While Ava gushes over Chirithy's cuteness, the Master explains that the Spirit Chirithy are meant to aid Keyblade wielders in their endeavors, but he warns that should a wielder fall to darkness, so will their Chirithy, causing them to transform into a Nightmare. Aced suggests that they destroy any Nightmare Chirithy they come across, but Ava refutes the idea. Ava and Gula then tease Aced for his frightening demeanor, much to Aced's embarrassment.

Without warning, the Master disappears from the world, and although the foretellers actively seek him out, they are unable to locate him. Upholding the Master's teachings, the foretellers begin recruiting Keyblade wielders to each of their Unions, utilizing the powers of their copies of the Book of Prophecies in the form of Medals to aid their wielders in collecting Lux in order to maintain the balance of power.{{storylink|Quest 94: Where's Chirithy? Over time, the foretellers notice Keyblade wielders utilizing bangles that provides them the power to collect dark energy, though they decide that using the bangles was acceptable for their Union members. Subsequently, Ira summons the foretellers for a meeting in the Foretellers' Chamber, declaring that there is a traitor among them after discovering a Nightmare Chirithy snooping around their home. Ava proposes that the Nightmare could belong to a wielder in one of their Unions, though Ira reasons that the bangles are the Nightmare's doing and the traitor has to be one of the foretellers since only one of them could have obtained the bangles. Aced condemns Ira for spreading doubt amongst them and adjures the meeting, prompting Ava to depart from the Foretellers' Chamber.

A few days later, Aced invites Ava and Gula to meet with him in a warehouse, where he voices his frustration against Ira's suspicions. Ava tries to defend Ira's actions, but this only aggravates Aced further as he believes Ira should trust them. At Gula's behest, Aced proposes to form an alliance between their Unions, prompting Ava to remind him that alliances are forbidden. While Gula accepts Aced's offers, Ava declines, opting to follow the Master's teachings. When Invi arrives to the warehouse, a disheartened Ava watches as Aced and Invi argue and accuse the other being tainted by darkness. With this, Ava parts ways with her fellow foretellers.

Sometime later, Ava sits alone in the Fountain Square and is soon joined by a wielder named Ephemer, who notices her depressed demeanor. Ava confides in Ephemer about her doubts about the Master's teachings regarding the competition between the Unions, much to his surprise. Ava approves of Ephemer's desire to solve the mysteries of the world, as she believes that people should question things and think for themselves. Ephemer jokingly tries to get Ava to talk about the Book of Prophecies, but she denies him. Hearing that Ephemer had befriended a Keyblade wielder from a different Union, Ava is pleased to learn that wielders from other Unions could work together. After Ephemer leaves, Ava is relieved to know the world following the Keyblade War would be entrusted to young Keyblade wielders who share Ephemer's perspective.Quest 401: The Clock Tower Pt. 1

Later that night, Ava encounters Ephemer outside the entrance to the Foretellers' Chamber and guides him to the outskirts of Daybreak Town for a private conversation. Ava informs Ephemer of the impending Keyblade War, and selects him to act as one of the new Union leaders in the foretellers's stead after the war. She then provides a book of rules that must be followed once the new Union leaders take charge to prevent future destruction. Moreover, Ava tells Ephemer that the Union leaders must erase the memories of the Keyblade War from their fellow Dandelions and avoid any possible connections between the two worlds, thus the truth about the war must be kept a secret among the new Union leaders. Despite Ephemer's misgivings about erasing everyone's memories, Ava sends Ephemer to travel to another realm and instructs him to meet the other Union leaders in the Keyblade Graveyard following the war.

A few days later, Ava finds Player and Chirithy, who are trying to locate Ephemer, at the entrance to the Foretellers' Chamber. Ava refuses to divulge any information regarding Ephemer and attacks to test the latter's strength. After a quick battle, Ava states that she sees a lot of potential in Player, but notes the sadness in their heart and warns they will fall to darkness if the darkness is not dispelled. Ava allows Player and Chirithy to leave, realizing that the Player is the one who Ephemer had mentioned before.

After Player and Chirithy returned home to rest, Ava appears in Player's room to ask if Chirithy had been showing Player dreams about Ephemer. When Chirithy denies this, Ava deduces that Ephemer is getting close to the truth, having fallen into an unchained state and finding himself in a different realm, and he is trying to reach out to Player. If Player is connected to Ephemer, Ava realizes that Player is getting closer to that realm, though whether Player goes or not is determined by their heart. Ava tells Chirithy to protect Player from Nightmares before taking her leave.

After exploring the Fountain Plaza and defeating several Shadow Heartless, a portal to the Lanes Between opens before Player, from which Foreteller Ava emerges. Ava makes note of how Player has managed to access the power of the Keyblade, meaning that lesser Heartless won't stand a chance. However, in order to defeat stronger foes, Player must combine their strength with those who share their purpose and aspirations. Just then, another Corridor of Darkness opens in the Fountain Plaza, unleashing another Darkside onto Daybreak Town. Just then, Player and Ava are surrounded by fellow Keyblade wielders hailing from their Union, with Ava explaining that Player's friends will become their power. Following the defeat of the Darkside, Ava reveals that there are others who collect the Light, but not all of them share the same goal of bringing peace to the world - though it is up to Player to discover who among them walks the path of Darkness; taking their leave through the Lanes Between shortly thereafter.

A few months later, Ava receives word from her Chirithy that Aced and Invi have been sighted battling each other throughout Daybreak Town. Hurrying to the scene, Gula, who was watching the duel nearby, calls Ava to their location. Invi declares that Aced is the traitor, and although Ava is reluctant to believe this, she and Gula stand with Invi against Aced. With strong belief in his own goals, Aced plunges into battle against his former comrades, from which he barely emerges alive.

As Player continues on their missions throughout the worlds, Chirithy often returns to Ava's side in order to report Player's progress, occasionally applying tests of strength in order to prove such advancements.

After having defeated the Darkball Heartless in Agrabah, Player returns to Daybreak Town, where Chirithy compliments their progress and ultimately decides to tell Player what they need to know. Chirithy explains that before The Master of Masters - his creator - disappeared, he gave his six disciples new names, and to five of them a tome from the Book of Prophecies. Those five disciples became the Foretellers, and looked to the Book of Prophecies, only to be shocked by what was revealed in the last verse: "By waging war o that land, Light shall face defeat and be annihilated. The world shall be engulfed in eternal darkness." In order to save the future, the Foretellers thought about using the hidden power within the Book of Prophecies, with Chirithy revealing that this is the power that Player is using; with the Medals acting as intermediaries. Elaborating, Chirithy explains that they used the power from the future to protect the Light from the Darkness, and tried to change the future that is engulfed in Darkness. Chirithy then reminds Player that even though the Foretellers have similar goals, their wills differ, which is why Player mustn't lose sight of who they are.
Ava heals Player, thanking them and Skuld for showing her the strength of their hearts. Ava proceeds to tell them the truth of the Keyblade War, Ephemer's involvement, and invites Player and Skuld to join as well. Although Skuld immediately agrees, Player is concerned for those not chosen to become Dandelions. Ava respects their decision, but asks that Player and Skuld keep everything she has told them a secret due to the sensitivity that comes with the topic of the future.

Later, following the demise of Chirithy (2), Master Ava approaches Chirithy, informing him that despite all the Light that has been gathered by those who wield the Keyblade, Darkness has continued to spread with more and more power. Chirithy then asks if that truly means that there is infact a traitor among the five forces of Light - however Ava states that they don't want to believe that just yet.
Soon, Ava discovers Aced and Gula fighting at a warehouse and jumps in to stop Aced from finishing off Gula. As Aced withdraws, Ava tends to Gula's injuries and goes into hiding to protect Gula from Ira. However, they are discovered by Invi, who reports them to Ira, leading Ira to confront Ava a few days later. Frightened by the possible consequences, Ava resolves to protect Gula from Ira, who calmly accepts this and leaves. When she returns to Gula's side, Gula informs her of the contents of the Lost Page, which predicts an inevitable betrayal and "the one who bears the sigil", whom he had assumed was Aced. Gula commends the distraught Ava for her scrupulous behavior, and voices regret that he performed guileful deeds in following the Master's instructions. He then explains that he intends to summon Kingdom Hearts to decipher the Lost Page by forcing the Master to return, but Ava declines to assist him as summoning Kingdom Hearts had been forbidden. Respecting her decision, Gula goes off on his own.

Sometime later, Player meets Chirithy in the Fountain Plaza, where Chirithy greets them happily and asks if he’s right to assume that Player’s always “going at it with all he’s got” – revealing that he’d brought something as a reward for all of Player’s hard work, handing Player Beads of Light. Player celebrates briefly before Chirithy tells them that there’s no need for it and asks that Player put it away. Chirithy explains that while Player wears the Beads of Light, they can’t be devoured by the Darkness, continuing to say that they’d been assigned a special mission directly from Master Ava and that they’ll need the Beads of Light to complete the mission successfully. Elaborating, Chirithy explains that Player would still be defeating Heartless, but within the Corridors of Darkness, advising Player to be careful because the Beads of Light can only protect them from the Darkness for a set period of time. Player accepts the mission before them, earning some encouragement from Chirithy, who suggests that Player not push themselves and do their best.

Ava later chides Invi for worsening the conflict between the foretellers by divulging Gula's whereabouts to Ira, and defends her own actions in assembling the Dandelions by explaining that she is merely following the Master's instructions. Invi apologizes for misinterpreting Ava's actions, and Ava discloses Gula's plan to summon Kingdom Hearts by collecting Lux. They realize that Aced and Ira are also gathering Lux out of fear that Gula is vying for power, and decide to do the same in order to maintain the balance and delay the war, despite worrying that it could hasten the war. Ava gathers her Dandelions at Fountain Square and instructs them to continue their preparations to avoid the war by going to the world outside, and entrusts them with the hopes for the future. In a last attempt to obtain outside intercession on the brewing conflict, she begins looking for Luxu, hoping he can lead her to the Master.

After the mission proves to have been a success, Chirithy meets with Master Ava in the Clock Tower to report on how Player handled the mission. Ava, intrigued, states that all’s well that ends well before leaving – only to have Chirithy chase after them. Chirithy asks Ava if they didn’t think that it was a bit early to be giving Player a mission like that, only for Ava to explain that it was necessary in order to expedite Player’s growth; as they must develop a resistance to the Darkness as soon as possible. When Chirithy asks why, Ava reveals that a rise of the forces of Darkness draws near, and until that time the numbers of their Union must be increased as much as possible, which Chirithy says he understands.

Eventually, Ava tracks down Luxu at the outskirts of Daybreak Town and interrogates him. Luxu explains that he was assigned to survive the Keyblade War and observe the events to come, and that her attempts to prevent the war by locating the Master are futile. He tells her that the Lost Page is an additional part of the prophecy that was kept secret from the foretellers, making Ava wonder if all the conflict had simply been according to the Master's plans. She accuses Luxu of being the traitor, who then reveals the truth of the traitor. Luxu wonders if the Master has chosen to take an interest in the fate of his disciples over the fate of the world, but Ava refuses to accept that the Master's motives could be suspect, and accuses Luxu of exploiting the Master's will. She attacks Luxu, signalling the beginning of the Keyblade War as Daybreak Town's bell begins to toll. Shortly afterwards, she arrives to the Badlands with the members of her Union.

Following Ephemera's disappearance, Player has another dream, this time showing Ephemera meeting with the Vulpes Foreteller, Master Ava, in the Fountain Plaza. When Ephemera notes that Master Ava seems trouble, he reasons that even Foretellers must get worried about things from time to time; teasingly asking Ava if she could divulge the secrets of the Book of Prophecies to him. Ava denies Ephemera, asking if he’s only teasing her because she’s the easiest Foreteller to talk to. After Ephemera denies this, Ava tells him that it’s all right and asks if she’s right to assume that Ephemera is not tightly bound to his Union companions. Rather than answer Ava, Ephemera tells her that he’d made a friend from another Union earlier and that the two of them agreed to meet each other the following day. Hearing this, Ava suggests that Ephemera return home for some rest to prepare. Agreeing Ephemera stands and bids Ava farewell, stating that even though he doesn’t know what’s going on he hopes that Ava gets better. After Ephemera leaves, Ava thanks him and mentions to herself that should something unexpected happen she’ll be leaving it to the children like Ephemera, who are not bound to their Unions. Looking up, Ava is surprised as a dandelion seed floats past her face – to which she calmly says “Fly away and ride the wind… dandelion”.
{{canon
The dream continues by showing Player meeting with Ephemera, together going to investigate the Clock Tower, only for Player to realize that they're not ready yet to do so. Accepting this, Ephemera tells Player that he’ll be waiting before he fades away in a cluster of dandelion seeds. The Player wakes up at home, revealing everything to have been a dream, also waking up Chirithy in the process. Player tells Chirithy about the dream involving Ephemera, finishing by stating that they intend on looking for him at The Tower. Chirithy shuts down the idea, reasoning that the area is within the Foreteller’s territory and right now isn’t the best time for this kind of thing. Chirithy says that it’s not supposed to tell The Player the details, but trouble has been brewing between the Foretellers of each Union, and so it’s best if Player doesn’t go anywhere near The Clock Tower.
|
After fighting the other foretellers, Player runs into Ava, and asks her why she is taking part in this battle. Instead of answering, Ava attacks the Player and states that there are secrets Player must never know. Ava instructs the Player to flee with the Dandelions, while departing to continue her fated role in the Keyblade War.

Despite Chirithy’s warning, Player goes to The Clock Tower anyway, but when Chirithy follows Player and reiterates his warning, Player decides to double back and seek answers before progressing any further. Upon further investigation, Player learns that Master Ava plans on gathering superior Keyblade wielders in the Fountain Plaza, no matter what Union they belong to, that she'd been seen associating with Ephemera recently and that she was last seen heading toward the Clock Tower.
Between Kingdom Hearts χ and Kingdom Heart Union χ [Cross]
Per the Master's instructions, Ava chooses five Keyblade wielders to be the new Union leaders. However, hoping to change the terrible fate that awaited then, Ava selects Brain to be a Union leader and gives him a copy of the Book of Prophecies, as he had not been chosen by the Master to receive it. Ava places the memo from the Master in Brain's copy of the Book of Prophecies, hoping that he would understand it when the time came to decide their future. At some point, Ava gives him the Master's Defender as well.

Heading toward the Clock Tower entrance in the sewers beneath Daybreak Town, Player and Chirithy finally find Master Ava. Ava questions why Player has sought her out, prompting Player to explain that they’re looking for Ephemera. Shocked and confused, Ava admits to knowing Ephemera, but still doesn’t understand what that has to do with her. Player divulges that he’d had a dream where Ephemera told them to meet him there. Understanding, Ava reiterates that Ephemera is waiting there for them in a dream and that they’re telling her this in the Foreteller’s domain. Master Ava reveals that Ephemera had recently gotten caught up in some trouble that the Foretellers had brought on, and out of all the Foretellers – Ava assumes that The Player found her to be the most suspicious. Accepting this, Ava summons her Keyblade and challenges Player to battle. Eventually, Ava stops the battle, and an exhausted Player falls to the ground. Ava commends Player’s power, but warns them that they harbor sadness in their heart and that they need to overcome it quickly. However, Ava is not too concerned, noting that Player has a good friend by their side in the form of Chirithy, so she’s sure everything will work out fine. Ava advise Player to return home for the night while also making it known to Player that they can’t come to The Tower whenever they feel like it. Understanding, Player leaves with Chirithy, allowing Ava to realize that they are the friend Ephemera had spoken of.
Kingdom Hearts III
Ava is the only foreteller who does not meet with Luxu in the Keyblade Graveyard after Xehanort's defeat. Luxu is not surprised by this, since he had told her what his role given by the Master was and since she had successfully carried out her own mission.

Later that night, Chirithy watches over Player as they sleep; mentioning that they’d had a tough day and that he’d never anticipated having to fight a Foreteller. Master Ava then appears in the room, remarking on her own surprise over the situation, though admitting that she wouldn’t have fought so simply had she been serious – signifying that she was only testing Player’s strength. Chirithy asks Ava about her actions, only for her to ask if it had been the one to show Player the dream with Ephemera. When Chirithy denies this, Ava voices how it may have been Ephemera trying to reach Player from the dream. Chirithy questions what Ava means, so she elaborates by saying that Ephemera had been closing in on the truth, and as such she believes that he’s now in another dimension apart from the free one that they call “Unchained”, and that Ephemera seems to have attempted reaching out to Player from this dimension. Moving closer to Player, Ava suggests that if Ephemera and the dream really are connected, then that could mean that Player is also nearing the Unchained dimension – though whether or not they continues will depend on their heart. Ava then asks Chirithy to protect Player from their nightmares so that Player can fly away and ride the wind one day as well, before disappearing once again. Looking to Player, Chirithy questions what Ava means by protecting them from nightmares.

Ava is a kindhearted individual whose youth enables her to befriend the members of not only her Union, but others as well. Despite her young age, she is prudent and diligent, fulfilling the role the Master of Masters assigned to the letter, despite her own personal misgivings in regards to some of his teachings; when questioned on this, however, she is quick to assert that the Master is beyond reproach despite all evidence to the contrary. She is very forthcoming in most matters, able to tell Ephemer about her doubts as a foreteller, and able to personally invite others to become members of the Dandelions. She also displays a more childish side, as she is openly infatuated by the Chirithy the Master presents to the foretellers.

Abilities
However, her loyalty and faith towards the Master's prophecy begins to waver throughout the story. Eventually, this leads to her decision to bend the rules and defy some of his orders, such as giving Brain a copy of the Book of Prophecies, despite not being chosen by the Master, to interfere with the Master's ultimate plan. Also, despite her respect towards the Master of Masters, Ava does not share his fatalist beliefs and believes that the future can be changed for the better.

Ava's Keyblade
Ava wields a Keyblade that is unique among the foretellers's Keyblades in form, lacking a large, engraved dark portion on its shaft. It features many gradients of pastel tones. It has a long, gold handle. The guard has long, cloud or wave-shaped portions shifting from yellow to blue on the top and separate blue pieces by the pommel. The base features a gold fox with teal eyes set atop an intricate gold and pink etching. A few cloud-like golden parts are above it to either side. The shaft is twisted and pink, then yellow, then blue. The blue bursts into separate clouds which form the teeth. Set in the center of the teeth, perpendicular to the shaft, is a pink symbol resembling Terra's Mark outlined in gold. The Keychain matches the blue parts of the blade, while the token is yellow and pink, inset with the Gazing Eye.

Vulpeus: The Keyblade's main colors are light pink, yellow, and light sky blue. The blade looks somewhat like a spiral of clouds, water, or even cotton candy. The blade starts out light pink then transitions to yellow, then slightly green, and finally light sky blue. The guard's top and bottom are separated, the top half having the same coloration as the blade, and the bottom half looking like a stylized "M". The handle is an orange-brown architectural column. The hilt bears a fox over an intricate design. The Keyblade's teeth extend from the swirled shaft and bear a pink heart shape with an orange outline. The Keychain's links are copies of the bottom part of the guard and the Keychain token somewhat resembles the token of the Stormfall, bearing a somewhat similar shape. However, the token is a different color and has round top corners instead of pointed ones.-->
Ava is adept in crafting illusions, which she also uses in her signature technique, "Foxtrot". She is also able to cast healing spells.

One of the Master's disciples who receives a copy of the Book of Prophecies.
Despite being a Keyblade Master, she is often treated as a friend by other wielders due to her age. She is the leader of the Union Vulpes.
Her role is to find exceptional Keyblade wielders regardless of Union and create her own organization.

Ava is a Keyblade Master who appears in Kingdom Hearts χ. As a foreteller, she leads the Vulpes Union and is an apprentice of the Master of Masters. She is the founder of the Dandelions.

Story[edit]

Before Kingdom Hearts χ[edit]

Ava is given a Keyblade forged from her own heart by the Master of Masters, who takes her, Aced, Gula, Invi, Ira, and Luxu as his apprentices. Ava eventually achieves the rank of Keyblade Master alongside her fellow apprentices.[citation needed]

The Master of Masters assigns Ava her role.

The Master provides Ava with a list of five Keyblade wielders she must gather as Dandelions in order to succeed the foretellers as Union leaders following the Keyblade War, with only one of them meant to receive a copy of the Book of Prophecies. Quest 665: Target: Blitz Spear Pt.

Upholding the Master's teachings, the foretellers begin recruiting Keyblade wielders to each of their Unions, utilizing the powers of their copies of the Book of Prophecies in the form of Medals to aid their wielders in collecting Lux in order to maintain the balance of power. Kingdom Hearts χ[edit]

Having watched Player defeat countless Heartless throughout Daybreak Town, Ava commends them on their abilities. She suggests that Player should fight alongside the other Vulpes Union members to defeat larger Heartless and then leaves them to defeat a Darkside. Once the Darkside is defeated, Ava reappears and warns Player that there are others who collect light for nefarious purposes. Ava allows Player to discern who walks the path of darkness before she departs. Quest 3: Combat 102

When Neoshadows appear in Daybreak Town, Player joins three other Keyblade wielders in their efforts to quash the darkness being spread by the new species of Heartless; however, Player is the only survivor. After Chirithy witnesses another of its kind fade, Ava appears to speak with Player, revealing that while the Keyblade wielders are gathering Lux at an amazing rate, the darkness is spreading even faster. Chirithy asks if that means that there really is a traitor among them, to which Ava states that she is not willing to believe that yet. Quest 250: Heartless Havoc: Fountain Square

One night, Player is shown a dream by Chirithy, in which Ava and the other foretellers meet with the Master in the Foretellers' Chamber, though Nightmare Chirithy quickly puts a stop to this dream. Quest 351: A Job Never Done Pt. 1

Ava voices her doubt to Ephemer.

After Ephemer leaves, Ava is relieved to know the world following the Keyblade War would be entrusted to young Keyblade wielders who share Ephemer's perspective. Quest 401: The Clock Tower Pt.

This information is based on alternate scenes or materials and is only considered in continuity if Player joins the Vulpes Union.
After Player successfully completes the Dark Corridor Trials, Chirithy reports back to Ava, who is pleased to hear of their progress, but Chirithy questions the wisdom of assigning such a dangerous mission. Ava laments that she has no choice but to hasten Player's training, as she must strengthen their resistance to darkness as quickly as possible and obtain as many warriors as they can get on the side of light. Invi declares that Aced is the traitor, and although Ava is reluctant to believe this, she and Gula stand with Invi against Aced. With strong belief in his own goals, Aced plunges into battle against his former comrades, from which he barely emerges alive.

When Player, Chirithy, and Skuld enter the Foretellers' Chamber in search of Ephemer, they are caught by Ava, who has disguised herself as Ira. "Ira" divulges that he caught Ephemer in the Foretellers' Chamber several days before and that Ephemer's Union collects Lux for a reason conflicting with that of the Player's Union. He accuses Ephemer of having befriended the Player solely to acquire information, and states that he eliminated Ephemer for this suspicion. Although Chirithy assures "Ira" that will not retaliate against him, Player decides to avenge Ephemer, but "Ira" emerges as the victor. As the Player is cast to the ground, the façade of the Foretellers' Chamber and Ira fades away and the group find themselves still in the sewers in front of Ava, who explains that she disguised herself as Ira in order to test Player and Skuld. Quest 555: The Clock Tower Pt. 10

Ava attacks Luxu and signals the start of the Keyblade War.

She accuses Luxu of being the traitor, who then reveals the truth of the traitor.[1] Luxu wonders if the Master has chosen to take an interest in the fate of his disciples over the fate of the world, but Ava refuses to accept that the Master's motives could be suspect, and accuses Luxu of exploiting the Master's will. She attacks Luxu, signalling the beginning of the Keyblade War as Daybreak Town's bell begins to toll. Shortly afterwards, she arrives to the Badlands with the members of her Union.

Between Kingdom Hearts χ and Kingdom Heart Union χ [Cross][edit]

Per the Master's instructions, Ava chooses five Keyblade wielders to be the new Union leaders. However, hoping to change the terrible fate that awaited then, Ava selects Brain to be a Union leader and gives him a copy of the Book of Prophecies, as he had not been chosen by the Master to receive it. Ava places the memo from the Master in Brain's copy of the Book of Prophecies, hoping that he would understand it when the time came to decide their future. At some point, Ava gives him the Master's Defender as well.

Kingdom Hearts III[edit]

Ava is the only foreteller who does not meet with Luxu in the Keyblade Graveyard after Xehanort's defeat. Luxu is not surprised by this, since he had told her what his role given by the Master was and since she had successfully carried out her own mission.

Design[edit]

Ava is a girl who hides her face under a white fox mask that has a blue trim. Her pink, hooded cloak is decorated with light green tassels and covers a white robe, light purple shirt, and light purple sash.

Ava's name is derived from the word avaritia, which means "greed" in Latin and is represented by a fox in the Ancrene Wisse.

Personality[edit]

"The prudent Ava, who wore the mask of the fox, was given her role to prepare exceptional Keyblade wielders for the world after."
—Chirithy, Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover

As noted by Brain, Ava would never harm a fellow Keyblade wielder and would have taken precautions to make sure they were safe. According to Gula, she is a righteous individual.

Abilities[edit]

Main article: Ava's Keyblade

Ava is adept in crafting illusions, which she also uses in her signature technique, "Foxtrot". She is also able to cast healing spells.
