Chapter 39: Storm Ahead! Hollow Bastion is the thirty-ninth chapter in the Kingdom Hearts II manga.
Story[edit]
Maleficent recruits Yuna, Rikku, and Paine. Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrive in Hollow Bastion and fight Heartless with the help of Claymore, when they find Scrooge being attacked by Heartless. Donald saves him by casting Fire, but accidentally destroys Scrooge's freezer. Jiminy explains Scrooge used to travel the worlds with King Mickey to do business, and Scrooge tells them he just saw the King.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy hurry to Merlin's House, hoping to find the King there. Yuffie says he is with Leon in Ansem's computer room. When asking about the computer, Cid tells them that it keeps creating Heartless, and they can't figure out how to stop it.
On the way to the computer room, Sora, Donald, and Goofy encounter Yuna, Rikku, and Paine, who interrogate Sora about Leon's plans, before reporting back to Maleficent. After arriving in Ansem's Study, Leon informs them the King has gone out to check on something. He shows them the computer, and how it keeps creating Heartless. In an attempt to stop the computer, Sora starts striking the keyboard, triggering a warning from the MCP.
