Bonus Episode: Beyond the Door - Secret Place is a bonus chapter in the Kingdom Hearts manga. It is exclusive to the Kingdom Hearts Final Mix edition of the manga.
While it is placed between Episode 19: Agrabah and Episode 20: The Genie of the Lamp, the part where Maleficent finds Riku takes place sometime between Episode 8: Plot and Episode 17: Reunion.
Story[edit]
A young Sora and Riku explore a cave on the Destiny Islands. They hear a howling sound from within, but it ends up being just the wind. Sora suggests they make the cave their secret hideout. Riku is mesmerized by a door with a glowing Keyhole on it. Riku promises himself he'll find out what's beyond that door someday.
Riku sits on the floating rocks where he ended up after the Destiny Islands were destroyed. Maleficent appears and invites him to her castle.
