Chapter 40: Space Paranoids is the fortieth chapter in the Kingdom Hearts II manga.
The front page shows Tron along with Sora, Donald, and Goofy in their Space Paranoids outfit.
Story[edit]
After triggering a warning from the MCP, Leon tells the others to stay away from the computer. However, Stitch crawls in along the ceiling and lands right on top of the keyboard. Trying to get him off, Donald crashes into the computer, prompting the MCP to arrest him, and a beam sends Sora, Donald, and Goofy into the computer.
Sora wakes up to find Donald and Goofy surrounded by Heartless. Sark appears to arrest Sora, and when Sora tries to fight him, he gets zapped. Sora, Donald, and Goofy are brought to the Pit Cell, where they meet Tron. In Hollow Bastion, Aerith heads to Cid to inform him of what happened.
Tron explains he is a program, and identifies Sora, Donald, and Goofy as users. He informs them they can leave with the help of a terminal, but that it has been powered down. He tells them he can probably restore power to it if he can reach the Canyon, and Sora baffles him by using the Keyblade to unlock the cell's door. Meanwhile, Sark reports to the MCP, which is trying to decrypt the password to the computer's dataspace.
Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Tron arrive at the Canyon and notice a missing part. While looking around for a spare part, Donald finds a light cycle and gets on it. Just as Tron finds a fitting part, the light cycle turns into a Magnum Loader and drags Donald along with it. They crash into Tron, causing him to drop the part, which breaks into pieces, before Sora defeats the Heartless. Tron believes they won't find a new part that fits, but Sora cuts another piece into the right size, restoring the power. Tron is amazed by Sora's illogical actions, and asks for his help.
