Other key items[edit]

  • Synthesis materials recur throughout the series and are used to craft new items and equipment. Generally, they are stored in the player's inventory although in Kingdom Hearts II, visiting the Moogle Workshop transfers all synthesis materials to a separate stock within the workshop.
  • Maps provide the player with additional vision via the minimap. In Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, individual maps are obtained after cutscenes or from chests and instead of being stored in the inventory, they are recorded in Jiminy's Journal or the Report.
  • Ice Cream ingredients are used to make Ice Cream in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.
