Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX launches worldwide!

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Logo KHIIHD.png

One of the most beloved games in the Kingdom Hearts series has launched worldwide in glorious high-definition. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX launched in Japan on October 2, with a North American release of December 2, Australian release of December 4, and European release of December 5. The latest HD remaster bundles the beloved sequel Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix with Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and prepares fans and new gamers alike for the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III.

Lingering Will KHIIFM.png

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX will be the first time that Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix will be released internationally. With these new titles come official English translations of various attacks and enemies, as well as brand new challenges, Keyblades, and battles.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix features new fights against the Absent Silhouettes, as well as data fights against the entire Organization XIII. New puzzle challenges also are included in the new remaster, and new cutscenes that delve into the inner workings of the Organization have been added to the game, as well as the challenging Lingering Will battle.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix features a special Secret Episode that teases at a potential new title, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Volume 2. In addition, new Unversed Challenges and additional battles are added to the Mirage Arena, including battles against No Heart (Xehanort's Armor) and the Armor of Eraqus. The Mirage Arena has been tweaked to be both more challenging and more fun when playing solo, though multiplayer capabilities were removed due to time constraints.

The final title, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, has been remastered into three hours of high-definition cutscenes. Two hours of those are completely new footage, with a two new bonus cutscenes that tie into the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. One is tied to the online game Kingdom Hearts X and features villains Maleficent and Pete. The other, which acts as an additional secret ending, features Braig and a Young Xehanort discussing the plot will unfold in the future of the Kingdom Hearts series.

A screenshot from the cutscene "Destiny."

Following the game's launch in North America, our friends at Kingdom Hearts Insider and KH13 were able to interview the man himself, creator of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura. In the interview, Tetsuya revealed that a high-definition remake of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is still being considered, but stated this reality might be a little hard as the KH team don't think 3D will be as well received on its own. In addition, he noted that the mysterious Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Volume 2 is simply a collection of ideas that are not currently being pursued. It was also shared that Tetsuya is fascinated by the Zexion data battle, though he wouldn't necessarily call it his favorite.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX has been well received on all fronts. Both the European and North American Launch events were sold out, as were the international Collector's Edition versions of the game. These editions were back with both Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, an art book, a Shadow plushie, a steelbook for the game discs, and a special collector's box to keep everything together.

Have you gotten your copy of the game? What do you think about the latest HD installment? Tell us your answers on the magazine's comments page!

Marvel and Star Wars in Kingdom Hearts

Picture of Captain America for use in Issue 3's Ansem Reports

As most everyone knows, one of The Walt Disney Company's most valuable moves in the last couple of years has been the acquisition of Marvel and Lucasfilm. Included in this package were the rights to beloved franchises such as Captain America, Thor, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. It's no secret that these franchises are huge all on their own, but what would they be like when combined with the momentous story of the Kingdom Hearts series, specifically Kingdom Hearts III?

Gaming website Kotaku recently spoke to Kingdom Hearts Co-Director Tai Yasue in London where they questioned him about the addition of Star Wars and Marvel properties in Kingdom Hearts III and beyond. Yasue is quoted saying:

"Yeah, I can't go into specifics, but there's a LOT of new Disney stuff and we have our plates full. There's a lot to consider - we're looking at all of Disney, the new ones as well, they have a lot of pull and draw."

Picture of C-3PO for use in Issue 3's Ansem Reports

This response hints that the development team might be considering what potential these works could have in the future of the Kingdom Hearts series. Tai Yasue also said:

"Well, yeah. They're all under consideration...nothing's off-limits, we're considering all of the worlds. There are so many wonderful concepts. We're happy about that, but at the same time it's really tough to choose."

With this answer we get a bit of a look at the tough work the Square Enix team has in choosing a couple of worlds from such a vast array of works and franchises. We also cannot forget other Disney works, such as its many animated classics, the animated films of recent years, and the computer-graphic works of its subsidiary, Pixar. For those who do not recall, incomplete models of Buzz Lightyear and Woody were found in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, the first game that came out following Disney's acquisition of Pixar Animation Studios in 2006. A Pixar film has yet to appear in a Kingdom Hearts game. All these different, unique, and separate works are up in the air for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III!

What do you think? Is there a chance that Kingdom Hearts III will feature any of these works? Would you like to see them? Tell us your thoughts on the comments page!

Kingdom Hearts III featured at Launch Event

Kingdom Hearts III Logo KHIII.png

Recently, Square Enix held "Inside the Kingdom, with Heart", a launch event for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX at Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California. Part of the exclusive treat was a special, exclusive look at Kingdom Hearts III. The footage, which will not be released publicly, features a ton of new scenes. Though we are not yet lucky enough to see this footage, we can ascertain a general idea of what was shown thanks to helpful fan accounts.

Sora is seen in Valor Form and Wisdom Form, but no new outfit is shown, despite previous confirmation that there would be a change of attire. Sora's Keyblade was also shown transforming into dual guns and, later, a cannon. Several sketches for Heartless were seen, but only one, which was knight-like in appearance, was said to have been completed for the game.

A new world, labeled only as "CT", was also teased. Apparently, this world is similar to Land of Departure in appearance, due to the inclusion of chains and elegant aesthetics. Sora was later seen facing a large window with curtains in what appeared to be a library or a study. Chess-like pieces lined the window sill, some of them with a crown or heart top. The letter χ was seen written on a chalkboard. Our friends at Kingdom Hearts Insider have made a sketch of what they saw, as the footage is most likely not going to be made public.

The footage ends with a note to look out for more information on Kingdom Hearts III in 2015.

Kingdom Hearts in upcoming Disney INFINITY games

The Disney Infinity logo, for use in Issue 3's Ansem Reports

Disney Infinity is a video game series very much like Kingdom Hearts. Developed by Disney Interactive, Infinity features characters from the many Disney franchises interacting with each other as the player completes missions and edits their "Toy Box" to create worlds full of endless possibilities. Playing requires physical figurines of your chosen character that one places on a gamepad. These figures become the characters in game, recording experience and giving access to new abilities. They're pretty essential to the game.

Mickey Mouse SoS KH3D.png

The inclusion of different franchises interacting with each other is not unfamiliar to fans of Kingdom Hearts. It's not hard to connect these two games and wonder what if Kingdom Hearts was in Disney Infinity? What if you could play as Sora, Kairi, or Aqua in another Disney title? What if you could open the Door to Darkness and let in the Heartless into your Toy Box? What about Final Fantasy characters? For those curious, a representative from Disney Infinity commented on the Infinity forums in regards to these very questions.

"We've had alot of requests for Kingdom Hearts content to be added to Disney Infinity! There are currently no plans for this but we've passed it all along to the developers just in case. Keep an eye on the site for announcements. Also cactaur townspeople would be adorable."

While it's nowhere near confirmed, it's promising that demand for Kingdom Hearts content is there. Hopefully the developers will consider adding it in – wouldn't it be exciting to have Kingdom Hearts represented in Disney Infinity? With universal characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, who can already travel through the different film realms in the game, characters like Sora wouldn't be hard to develop.

Would you play Disney Infinity for Kingdom Hearts? Would you purchase an adorable Sora figurine so you can play as him in the game? Let us know what you think on the comments page!

Log Updates title image for Unlocking the Keyhole page

Deletion Log

  • The delete button has been hard at work, having eliminated a healthy number of recently uploaded .jpg images. Please remember that no matter their content, .jpg images are not allowed to be uploaded on the Keyhole, and they will be deleted! As outlined on our uploads page, "All files should have the .PNG extension, unless they are animated (these should be given .PNG or .GIF extensions) or music files (these should be given .ogg)."
  • Videos have been heavily featured in our deletion log, due to the Keyhole having a strict no video policy. Because of a recently implemented policy by wikia, videos are now automatically uploaded to the wiki if linked on any page. To prevent the unwanted uploads of videos to the Keyhole, users must use the video template. Any videos will be deleted upon upload.
  • A few duplicate files have also been spotted in the deletion log. Before uploading, please check that an already existing copy of your file does not already exist on our wiki! Duplicate files will be deleted immediately.

Move Log

  • Images are still being renamed thanks to the effort of those involved in the image cleanup project. To make these helpful users' jobs a little easier, please make sure that you are familiar with the Keyhole's Naming Policy before you upload images in the future. Failure to adhere to our naming policy will result in the deletion of your images. Alternatively, you can help out with the image cleanup project by checking out our Projects page.

Other Logs

  • Unfortunately, some users have been banned from the Keyhole because of vandalism. We at the Keyhole have a very low tolerance for article vandalism and vandalizing an article will result in a block or, at the very least, an official warning. If you spot a vandal and would like to report it, let the staff know by visiting our Ban Requests page.
  • As always, the upload log is a popular place to be and we enjoy the steady influx of images we have added to our wiki every day. However, we would like our users to remember our categorization policy when uploading. Failure to upload files into the correct categories will result in deletion of your file.
New Users title image for Unlocking the Keyhole page
We've had a steady influx of users the last couple of months, so make sure you head over to the user creation log to check everyone out and give them a warm Keyhole welcome! All our new users are welcome to our wiki family, and here just a few of our newbies that we'd like to shine the spotlight on.
  • Sky$ora2911 joined October 9th and is an avid fan of the series. Having played all of the games (even the handheld ones), Sky$ora2911 is available for chatting about not only Kingdom Hearts, but Final Fantasy as well.
  • On October 10 we were introduced to the mysterious Naroxdam Xias. Naroxdam has an interesting theory about Kingdom Hearts III, so share your thoughts here!
  • Keybladeweilder101 became part of our wiki family on October 12th. Keybladeweilder101 loves Kingdom Hearts (of course), anime, manga, a bunch of other video games and can also be found floating around social media.
  • Kingdom hearts lover22 joined December 2nd and immediately proclaimed a love for Kingdom Hearts. Why not stop by and say hello to another KH enthusiast?
  • Naminé06 is a german user that joined January 2nd. Namine06 has already welcomed questions other users might have, so why not stop by for a chat?

We offer a big hello to those users, as well as all the others we didn't have the time to mention! We hope you enjoy your stay in the Keyhole/KHWiki universe!

Tea Parties title image for Unlocking the Keyhole
Each month the Keyhole hosts a tea party for all users to get together and discuss wiki related issues. We've had a lot of big issues recently, so we've kept to one forum for the last few months to prevent over archiving. Below are important policies we have discussed.
October 2014 – December 2014
  • We're discussing the creation of a forms page. We're still undecided on the layout of said page, so we welcome opinions and assistance.
  • We've opened up the possibility to revamp our Gallery template. If you'd like to lend a hand, let us know.
  • Taking inspiration from the FFWiki, we'd like to add a new aesthetic to our navigation bars. Unfortunately our desired effects are only accessible after making certain changes to the mediawiki pages and we haven't yet found someone confident enough to help us with this coding. If you can help us with this task, please leave a message at the tea party!
  • We have decided to create a Flick Rush page, to coincide with the rest of our mini game pages.
  • It was previously requested that images of every D-Link ability should be uploaded to D-Link pages. To prevent unnecessary clutter on these articles, we have decided that D-Link command images should only be uploaded if the page's aesthetics would benefit from doing so.
  • We have decided to eradicate as much red links as possible. We are in the midst of discussing a template to help with this, so feedback and input is welcome.
  • Aixon will take over running the Featured User and Featured Article sections.

Roundtables are meetings held on the #KHWiki-noticeboard IRC channel every 1st Friday of the month at 7:00 PM UTC. Below are important policies we have decided upon at our latest roundtable meetings.
October 30, 2014
  • The Kingdom Hearts Wiki will attempt to join the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance (NIWA).
  • Userboxes will be created for the trophies for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX.
  • Following TheFifteenthMember's proposal, ability sections for characters will be rewritten in prose format, describing the several abilities of each character. It will follow the general format seen here.
  • A page will be created for users to sign up to record videos of the KH series for the wiki. They will be uploaded to the wiki's YouTube account. If necessary, and only after users have had the chance to sign-up, the wiki will ask its YouTube affiliates for help with this project. The videos in the Game:-space will be replaced with these new videos.
  • The temporary alliance will be formed, and the several wikis involved will be informed and asked to join. A separate meeting will be held at a later time to discuss the issue further with the several wikis.
  • This is a reminder that the Aboutfile template must be used when uploading files from here on out. It appears automatically when uploading, but needs to be filled out. In addition, the template will be added to any files in Special:Unusedfiles.
November 7, 2014
  • The wiki will ask GrandmasterArcturus to do a trial LP for the wiki, with users from the wiki adding commentary. A forum will be created for users to sign up if they wish to participate. Following the trial video, the wiki will consider whether to host the LP in that manner. UnknownChaser is in charge of this.
  • KeybladeSpyMaster is elected to the position of Administrator.
  • Pages for individual music pieces will be created in a similar manner to the Enter the Void page. It will include Appearances, Composition, and Albums. An infobox will be created, and will feature the game logo of the game it appears in as an image. The only exception to this is if the piece is an album-exclusive piece, in which case the album cover will be used, as is the case for the Piano Collections. Categories for the pages will be in the manner of Category:Music in <<game>>. Cutscenes included in the "Appearances" section will link to the appropriate game. The List of Kingdom Hearts series tracks will be moved to The Keyhole, where it will be completed.
  • Because of the recent revival of the Square Enix Wiki, staff articles will be hosted at the Square Enix Wiki. While the SE Wiki continues its restructuring, the Kingdom Hearts Wiki will continue to link to Wikipedia.
  • The policy on voice actors stands. The Kingdom Hearts Wiki does not list voice actors for characters without official confirmation.
  • The mention of the Riku look-alike in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance shall be generalized to reflect the lack of confirmation as to whether or not that is the Riku Replica.
  • The Kingdom Hearts Wiki's 2014 End-of-Year Event will feature both maggosh's and ANX219's ideas running simultaneously. The competitions should be organized over the next month so that they are ready by December 1, 2014.
  • Affiliation with the Spanish Kingdom Hearts Wiki is approved.
  • Project: χ (Key) is approved. Pages on items, key items, events, etc. should be created.
December 5, 2014
  • A KHWiki:Podcast page will be created to host the podcast episodes.
  • The idea for a community of Kingdom Hearts wikis and websites will be kept in mind, but will not be pursued at this time.
  • The Mirage Arena will continue to be hosted as is. With the help of additional and continual nominations, a match can be held every week, and the Arena will run smoothly.
  • Advertisement for questions for December's podcast will be handled on the wiki's site notice, on the wiki's Facebook by Pea14733, and on the wiki's Twitter by KeybladeSpyMaster
  • A collapsible and colored box will be considered for the site notice for the purpose of attracting more attention to it.
  • The wiki will continue to use the fan-posed Action Renders, so long as there are no official action renders from Square Enix.
  • Lists for cutscenes by game will be created to replace the collapsed lists in Theater Mode.

Castle Oblivion vs La Cité des Cloches
Castle Oblivion Logo KHCOM.png
VS image used on the Games section of the magazine.
La Cité des Cloches Logo KH3D.png

So La Cité des Cloches, the city and world dominated by the monstrosity that is the Cathedral of Notre Dame! How can any other land hope to compete?

La Cité des Cloches KH3D.png

Castle Oblivion KHCOM.png

Castle Oblivion may not be able to compete with Notre Dame on size, but Notre Dame has nothing on how expansive Castle Oblivion is. Consisting of many levels of floors and hidden rooms- heck, we still don't know all that is in there!

If mystery is what we are looking for, then Notre Dame alone may not be able to compete with the mysterious fortress itself, but La Cité des Cloches as a city has it in abundance! Twisting streets, inconspicuous buildings and even an underground tunnel system... That's before we even mention the Catacombs!

La Cité des Cloches KH3D.png

Castle Oblivion KHCOM.png

What about origin? I mean, the Land of Departure's transformation into Castle Oblivion was quite stunning. Also, Chamber of Sleeping/Waking- 'nuff said.

It's rather hard to match Castle Oblivion in terms of origin, and the Chamber of Sleeping/Waking is an enigma! (I'd say only Radiant Garden could compete with it.) La Cité des Cloches has only featured in one game thus far, and only as a minor plot point, which means we don't know much of its origin.

So, what about plot? In La Cité des Cloches' story in 3D, we see a cruel judge possessed by the darkness insistent on eradicating the 'gypsies' that reside within the hidden Court of Miracles. Excitement is an understatement!

La Cité des Cloches KH3D.png

Castle Oblivion KHCOM.png

Frollo certainly lived up to his depiction in the movie. However, if it is plot we're looking for, look no further than Castle Oblivion. No matter what game it was mentioned in it served a major story point. In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories it was the main environment, composed of the many mysteries and questions of Organization XIII's first appearance.

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Castle Oblivion served as a source of secrets between the hidden rooms and answers pertaining to Xion's existence. Let us not forget that we're still waiting for an exact answer on how the Organization found/claimed Castle Oblivion.

Castle Oblivion certainly is the center of many exciting and secretive plot elements over the course of the Kingdom Hearts series! Although, La Cité des Cloches also houses an exciting plot that can certainly compete with the lofty standards set by Castle Oblivion!

Not only is one captivated by Quasimodo's desire to see the world outside of the Cathedral, but we also see the story from the viewpoint of the captain, Phoebus. Not only do we see him growing more and more discontented with Judge Frollo's premise, but there is also a tinge of romance for him towards the conclusion of the story...

La Cité des Cloches KH3D.png

Castle Oblivion KHCOM.png

There is one thing that Castle Oblivion has that will forever trump the other worlds: cards... Okay, I'm just kidding. Those were quite terrible. BUT...the idea of it all! Granted, COM came out during the Yu-Gi-Oh!/Pokemon "card craze", but the idea was an "oldie but a goodie."

How many of us spent hours trying to obtain all available cards? Not to mention the plot element the cards served. "To find is to lose and to lose is to find." You've lost your memories but now you have these cards, so go forth to find and lose more stuff! It wasn't just an element thrown in and then forgotten.

Cards certainly were a...unique addition to the series, and they certainly had their pros and cons... La Cité des Cloches doesn't have any game elements which relate specifically to it as a world, but if we were talking about Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, then I'm sure I could find something. However, we're not.

Castle Oblivion's magnificence and uniqueness are definitely something to behold, and La Cité des Cloches ranks fairly closely behind it, though I feel that the infamous castle might just have the edge!

La Cité des Cloches KH3D.png

Castle Oblivion KHCOM.png

Indeed. Perhaps this was a bit unfair.

Whether you're a new fan enjoying the mysteries of Castle Oblivion, or an older fan remember the Hunchback of Notre Dame, both worlds hold a special place in us.

AND THE WINNER IS... You decide!
Head on over to the magazine talk page to let us know who you think should win!

The Keyblade Master title image
Subtitle 1 for Issue 3 for The Keyblade Master
by TheFifteenthMember

The World Ends with You baffled fans the moment its feature in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance was announced.

"What's Nomura thinking?
Is he trying to ruin KH?!"

These were thoughts that ran through many minds during the years of 2011 and 2012. Yet, everyone also expected failure when, long ago, talk began to spread of a strange, upcoming game mixing Disney and Final Fantasy. Somehow, despite the madness, Kingdom Hearts was created and became a hit. Square Enix managed this same turn around when KH3D was released. TWEWY blended with Sora's gang perfectly.

TWEWY and KH share a common theme of friendship and the TWEWY crew are the same age as the KH protagonists, so it's actually not surprising that the mashup turned out well. In fact, some may think that TWEWY's characters merge with KH even better than Final Fantasy's. The smaller age gap means believable friendships, as opposed to Sora becoming such close friends with people twice his age, like Cid. Wasn't that just a little off? Another comparison can be made with world choice. TWEWY was self-contained within the world of Traverse Town, which was formerly the hub for FF characters. But what if things had been different? In this article, I'm going to speculate over how the TWEWY world of Shibuya would fit into a future KH game.
I'll be honest; I was originally going to do this for the 2014 End of the Year Event's Design-a-World contest, but then I realised that TWEWY was not an "unused" property. I'm an idiot, ik >.>

Shibuya Streets from TWEWY, for use in the Keyblade Master for Issue 3

First of all, I'll talk about the general atmosphere of Shibuya. Many people worry about the modern day being introduced to KH since the franchise tends to avoid busy, populated areas (yes, I am thinking about the podcast). However, La Cité des Cloches was set in Paris, which would have been a bustling, lively city in the 19th Century. The famous Notre Dame was entirely deserted of any NPCs but, as players, we never noticed because we were too busy fending off against the Dream Eaters. With Shibuya, central areas such as the Scramble Crossing and 104 can be littered with NPCs and shops (but not too littered), as it is in Twilight Town, while others areas will be Heartless zones (imagine battling in alleyways, streets, graffiti hotspots, and tunnels). Even three or four random NPCs loitering around the Scramble will be enough to make the world feel like a lived-in settlement. Buildings will feature electronic billboards and fluorescent lights, not unlike those in the Dark City. To sum up, the fact that Shibuya is a modern city is not a problem at all. On the contrary, I think a city environment will do much to liven up and add variety.

Regal Noise Symbol from TWEWY, for use in the Keyblade Master for Issue 3

TWEWY's concept of Noise is also perfectly compatible with the KH universe — these monsters are like Heartless with a different name. The Reapers control them, sending the Noise to do their dirty work in the same way Maleficent and the other Disney villains beckon the Heartless. The themes are already there and there are so many ways in which the TWEWY cast and setting could be used to create interesting scenes and dialogue. Plus, the Noise from TWEWY can be used as base designs for the Heartless of that world.

Noise Creature from TWEWY, for use in the Keyblade Master for Issue 3

Lastly, you may be wondering what the basic plot of the Shibuya world would be. Well, KH3D is set after the events of TWEWY, so, as we know it, Joshua has led the others back to Shibuya to live in the RG. Hence, the Reaper's Game cannot be played in Kingdom Hearts III. If Shibuya were to happen, I'd imagine that the directors would have some sub-plot to act as a hype-builder to the plot of TWEWY 2 (if that's ever going to happen) or it'd be like Traverse Town, Twilight Town, or Hollow Bastion, where the world plots take a backseat so that the main storyline can unravel. Then, the TWEWY cast will be there to hang around, but the story of KH3 is actually the focus (whatever Nomura has planned for that).

And that's the end of my skit. Highly unpolished, yes it is. But even still, I'd love to hear your thoughts, so be sure to leave a comment on the comments page!

Subtitle 2 for Issue 3 for The Keyblade Master
by KeybladeSpyMaster

Editor's Note: The following is an entry from 2014's End of Year Event. It is based on Disney's 2012 computer animated film, Wreck-It Ralph. For more information, please visit the allusive Page 14.
KeybladeSpyMaster's drawing for his 2014 EOYE entry, for use in the Keyblade Master for Issue 3

Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrive in Game Central Station, where they meet the Surge Protector. He mentions to the crew that Wreck-It Ralph has just flown into Sugar Rush in some sort of space ship, and notes how troublesome Ralph often is.

Before the Surge Protector can stop them, the trio heads to Sugar Rush. There, they follow a trail of broken candy to find Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz arguing. Thinking Ralph is an enemy in league with the Heartless (based on the comments from the Surge Protector), the trio take him on, though it doesn't take long for them to figure out Ralph's not a real bad guy, but a video game bad guy. Their fight, however, gives Vanellope time to snatch Ralph's medal, after which she runs to the race track.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy, now joined by Ralph, follow Vanellope to the race track. There, Sora, joined by Donald and Goofy, attempt to chase her down. Their efforts are interrupted by Ralph, who runs into them covered in frosting. After this, the group is taken to King Candy, who tells them to get out of Sugar Rush. Ralph, however, finds a racecar lying around, and hijacks it, taking Sora and the group with him, and initiating a mini race.

The group outrace King Candy and find Vanellope, where they agree to help her win the race to recover the medal. After racing against Vanellope multiple times, they run into King Candy, who explains to the four the "truth" about Vanellope, and why she can't race. Before Sora, Donald, and Goofy can stop him, Ralph destroys Vanellope's car and runs away.

The trio try to chase him down, but instead run into Fix-It Felix, Jr., who joins them, telling them that he's been looking for Ralph to take him back to his game before the arcade opens for the day. The group go up to King Candy's castle to explain their dilemma, but Sour Bill locks them up in the dungeon before they're able to say anything. There, they attempt to break out, but their attempts are foiled everytime by Felix's hammer.

KeybladeSpyMaster's drawing for his 2014 EOYE entry, for use in the Keyblade Master for Issue 3

Suddenly, they're rescued by Ralph, who appears to ask Felix to fix Vanellope's car. The group makes their way to the race track, where they see Vanellope race off. Just then, Sergeant Calhoun shows up and attacks Ralph, reprimanding him for letting a Cy-bug into the game. Immediately, Cy-bugs appear and begin to attack, and Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Ralph take to destroying the virus.

Between the two parts of this battle, they witness the fact that King Candy is truly Turbo. When the Cy-bugs destroy the finish line, Sora, Donald, and Goofy try and clear the way for everyone to escape. When they fail to get Vanellope out of the game, Sora, Donald, and Goofy follow Ralph to Diet Cola Mountain, where they face off King Candy as the final boss.

They're thrown off the mountain when Candy takes Ralph up to the sky, though they're able to see Vanellope make her way to the mountain, so they follow her, clearing the way of Cy-bugs before the creatures are eliminated by the beacon.

After their victory, the trio watch as everyone heads off to their own game, and Sora, Donald, and Goofy make their way to Game Central Station, where they reflect on Ralph's true role, despite what the game code says. Sora recalls how Tron was able to do the same in The Grid, and decides that despite some rules, people can always be who they truly are.

Secret Boss!

After the game is completed (whatever game this world is included in, let's say Kingdom Hearts III for kicks), an additional story is unlocked in a game titled only as Green Hill. The world features Green Hill from Sonic the Hedgehog, and Dr. Eggman is featured as an optional boss. The secret boss is homage to Sonic's appearance in the film, and Ralph's appearance in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

When Ralph and the trio break out of Candy's Castle, it unlocks the Sugar Rush mini-game, which is a racing mini-game against other characters from the film, including select Sugar Rush Racers. Following the completion of the story, the Fix-It Felix, Jr. and Hero's Duty mini-games are unlocked, and are played in a similar fashion to their appearance in film.

Becoming Adept with Redirects!
by TheFifteenthMember
For the unaware, redirects are pages that automatically send its readers to another article when accessed. For example, "The Mayor" is a standard KHWiki article with one redirect, "Mayor". Typing in "Mayor" in the KHWiki searchbar actually takes you to "The Mayor". If we look beneath the surface, this is actually the page titled "Mayor". Because of the coding on the page, going to the "Mayor" page automatically redirects you to "The Mayor". In this issue, I'll going to teach you how to create a redirect!

So how do we make a redirect ourselves? First, begin by creating a fresh new page with the title of your redirect. If you need help with that, check out the extensive tutorial RoadtoDawn wrote for Issue #2 of the Twilight Times!

Once that's handled, insert the following code onto the page you are creating:

 #REDIRECT [[Article Name]]

The "Article Name" portion of this code should be substituted with the title of the article you want to redirect to.

You may notice that the coding has two parts. "#REDIRECT", is essentially the signal to treat the page as a redirect. The "[[Article Name]]" link says what article the page should be redirecting to.

If you've read my tutorial on links in Issue #1 of the Twilight Times, you'll know know how to link to a section of an article. You can apply that knowledge here to create a redirect that jumps to a particular section of an article! Also keep in mind that it is unnecessary to disguise a redirect link!

And that's the end! Hmm, I wonder if anyone sees what I did in the title...

Earning the three pilot trophies in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX!
by RoadToDawn
The two new HD KH instalments for the PS3 have added a special trophy mechanic. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX has four trophies related to the Gummi Ship missions, which are an addition to the Kingdom Hearts Final Mix portion of the game. These trophies are Top Ace – which requires you to beat all the Gummi missions – and Test, Top and Ace Pilot. The latter three trophies require you to beat missions 1, 2 and 3, respectively.
Test Pilot Trophy KHHD.pngVeteran Pilot Trophy KHHD.pngAce Pilot (KHFM) Trophy KHHD.png

Today we're trying out the Test Pilot, Top Pilot and Ace Pilot trophies! Let's try the easiest of the worlds, Traverse Town, since it also has the easiest Gummi missions.

Test Pilot: Mission 1

Objective: Get 80 Points!

Ok, I'm going to go easy on this one. I got this trophy on my first flight out of Traverse Town.

If you really need the help, the secret is in destroying as many enemies and items you can. This can easily be done with a default Gummi ship and I believe that any route involving Traverse Town works. Moving on...

Veteran Pilot: Mission 2

Objective: Go from Olympus Coliseum to Traverse Town and get more than 30 barriers!

In case you don't know, barriers are the purple squares you see in your gummi travels. Destroy them and you get items.

To destroy the most you can in such a short amount of time, you will need a very buff up ship. Lasers, blasters, magnets; whatever you think of, you should have. Creating a monster will certainly get the purple things destroyed!

Though not obligatory, you can use magnets to pull even more barriers. Remember to press R3 to pull.

Ace Pilot: Mission 3

Objective: Start from Hollow Bastion, get no points and no damage! For this one, what you need is a small ship, kinda like this:

Image by RoadToDawn, for use in the Dive to the Heart for Issue 3

Did I say a small ship? I meant TWO. Configure both clone ships to transform between one another. Why? Even though you have the smallest ship possible, some obstacles are almost impossible to avoid, so you'll need a dose of invincibility, which you can get by transforming. Use the O button to go slower so you can dodge obstacles better, and for the hard ones you will HAVE to transform.

So follow this guide and you're bound to get all three trophies! As for the other trophy I mentioned, Top Gun, for that one you'll have to do ALL of the missions, something this article isn't big enough to explain. Thanks for reading and happy flying!

The Dwellers of the IRC's Review of Nobodies

This is a collection of mini-reviews from some guys and gals from the IRC. Special thanks to Xion4ever who came up with the idea of a collaborative review.
Xion4ever on the Dusk

Dusks. No, not Duskull or the time in the evening. Dusks! Those grey jumpsuit-wearing, contortionist Nobodies that always attack in groups. Sure they were rather annoying and quite easy to defeat... Even so! Dusks are not completely useless. In the least, we were constantly reminded of Dusks by higher-ranking Nobodies. Do the threats of being turned into a Dusk sound familiar? #Xion

KeybladeSpyMaster on the Sniper

The Sniper is a great Nobody because of its ability to lay heavy damage and warp time to disappear before the player can counterattack. The Sniper is also very fast because of its warping abilities. In addition, the use of crossbows makes its attacks both more effective and cool. It's swift, sleek, and powerful, making the Sniper one powerful Nobody.

Draaek on the Dragoon

Dragoons are quite fancy Nobodies because who doesn't like a dragon as an opponent? Their design keeps all aspects of dragons, despite their actions not being dragon-like. Even their lances have that nice draconic look that everyone looks for in something that relates to a dragon. I'd say that the wings are the only thing that really lack on the dragon side of things. They're a bit too simple, even for the Nobody theme they should follow.

TheFifteenthMember on the Samurai

Samurai are Nobodies that rip past (pun intended) all other Nobodies on the coolness meter. They're sleek and slick and their attire spells samurai from belt to helmet. They also dual-wield, which is an automatic win in any walk of life. Then, you have the the reaction command, Dual Stance, which has to be one of the most satisfying attacks to perform (and most frustrating to fail). To round thing out, the Samurai are the signature of Roxas so you can go ring up the fans.

ANX219 on Zexion

Zexion - Rank VI of the O13 (rhymes lmao). This Nobody is the master of illusions with the weapon of the Lexicon at his side. Mainly in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Zexion continues to push Riku onto the Organization's side, convincing him that Sora will never respect him. This nobody uses his persuasion powers throughout the game, and becomes a powerful boss to Riku after tricking him into thinking he is Sora.

I like this Nobody because he seems like a shy person, like his human counterpart, Ienzo, but once you anger him, he becomes a demeaning figure for the characters. His illusions have Riku wondering what reality actually is — it takes a lot of time and skill to weave such identical lies. He used a rather "different" technique to try to eradicate Riku: imitating a Sora constructed from the depths of Riku's guilt to try to defeat him. He also continued to face Riku even though he was wounded from the start.

Zexion is a very perseverant and persuasive character, and I'm sad to see him go. I hope I can find about him more in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III, if Ienzo gets to star in either title. Long live the illusionist!

Aixon's Top Five Memorable Quotes

An inspiring and truly mesmerising part of Kingdom Hearts is the meaningful words spoken by the characters themselves.

Note from the user: As much as I was eager to do this, choosing five separate quotes to describe as "the most memorable" has been somewhat...difficult for me. There are so many that I enjoy and relate to in more ways than one. This sequence is entirely subjective and merely reflects hard thought on my part. So please, enjoy!

Axel summons his Dancing Flames in Re:CoM.

"My show now, Keyblade Master. Who am I? Oh, my name's Axel. Got it memorized?"
- Axel to Sora

It must have been obvious that this quote was bound to feature somewhere in this list. Why wouldn't it? Loved by fans far and wide, Axel and his many variations on the "Got it memorized?" line have been picked up and used to great lengths.

This particular version is taken from when Axel first encounters Sora, in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. This line is so memorable for exactly those reasons. It has been repeated so many times that it's impossible not to love it!

"Your body submits, your heart succumbs - so why does your mind resist?!"
- Terra-Xehanort to Terra's Lingering Will

This quote might seem out of place on this list, as it doesn't really reflect any of the themes I tend to take a personal liking to. As it is though, this line is very memorable. Terra-Xehanort is striding away from the broken pieces of Terra's armor, having made the bidding Keyblade Master's body into his vessel. But Terra's Lingering Will seems to have other ideas. After reforming itself, the armor places a wall of chains around the area, stopping Terra-Xehanort in his tracks. The sheer frustration in the voice of the antagonist is enough to make this quote memorable.

Axel and Xion prepare for battle

"Go on! You just keep running! But I'll always be there to bring you back!"
- Axel to Xion

By this point, you must be thinking that I am an Axel lover to the very end. As much as I do like him he isn't my favourite, though his quotes sure are memorable!

This particular line is delivered in front of the Old Mansion in Twilight Town as Axel makes contact with Xion, having been searching for her for a lengthy time. As Xion desires to go back to Sora, she asks Axel to refrain from holding back, prompting Axel to deliver an emotion-filled speech, which he ends with this quote. It's clear that his need for friendship is so great that he is willing to go to lengths to keep his friends with him. This line definitely fits the bill of 'memorable' for me.

"My name is Master Aqua! Now, release my friend's heart or pay the price!"
- Aqua to Terra-Xehanort

This quote by Aqua at the end of Birth by Sleep is definitely one of my absolute favourites out of all of the games. She displays her absolute determination to dispel the dark power that Xehanort is utilizing to ensnare Terra. It might also be argued that this is the first time we see Aqua truly embracing her role as a Keyblade Master in full.

This quote is memorable for me because of the point at which it comes in the game. Everything that has happened thus far has led up to it, and now it is Aqua's turn to save her friend.

Xion says goodbye to Roxas

"No! Xion... Who else will I have ice cream with?"
- Roxas to a fading Xion

My favourite quote from Kingdom Hearts is what you see above. While I have heard many people take it out of context, saying that the line doesn't fit the moment, etc, etc, I could not disagree more. If you listen carefully to Roxas' voice towards the end of the quote, you can hear in it the anguish, sorrow and despair that garb that moment as the epitome of sadness.

The emotion from that scene, and the quote really do capture the heart, causing it to emanate sympathy for the now lonely boy. Memorable is perhaps an understatement.

A Chat with ANX219
Interview conducted by TheFifteenthMember

Welcome to the magazine's interview for Issue #3! I, TheFifteenthMember, will be your host for today's interview with long-time editor ANX219 as my subject. We've gathered around an imaginary table to- *noise comes from ear* Eh, I'm not allowed to say that? Four guys in Firey Hats eating Key Lime Pie, you say? Alright then, just roll the film!
Symbol - Heart3.png

TheFifteenthMember: Good evening (or morning?), nice to be speaking with you, ANX! You've been an editor at the KHWiki many years?

ANX219: I believe I've been here for around four years and a half. Wikiversary was in June of 2010. I thought Kingdom Hearts was so rad and I sooner discovered the wonders of editing. But some people thought I was a brat and I didn't really act formal xD

FM: Aww, everyone started out like that... I think. I KNOW I WAS A BRAT WHEN I JOINED ANYWAY! So, why did you decide to join the wiki in the first place?

ANX: I remember watching Kingdom Hearts playthroughs of the first and second games after I had read the KHFM manga at the local library at my swim meets, and I probably googled a character (because of my fascination) and found the wiki that way. I thought it was totally cool to have these original characters mixed in with the Disney characters we know and love! ^^

FM: Of course! Good thing you joined the wiki too! What do you find most enjoyable about the wiki?

ANX: I really like meeting new people, and lots of our editors are not all from America, even Finland, Thailand, France and Aussi! Collabing to finish long projects and slacking off by chatting is the way we work, just like we do in school anyway! We all love to edit and teamwork makes the dream work!

FM: DON'T BE FORGETTING 'OL ENGLAND! Yup, our community is **clearly** the best bunch of KH fans out there *nods to magazine*!

ANX: Clearly, our community is better than the League one!

FM: SPEAKING OF WHICH, it's no secret that you play League of Legends (not just because you taught me!). Favourite position/champion?

ANX: I am considered a rarity of my kind, as I am of the small female population that plays League and does not stream to show off! (Computer too crappy xD) Currently, support has been making me dreary because AD's always disconnect, but my favorite support champs include Nami, Karma, Leona and Sona! I've taken an interesting practicing Katarina, but I really like Ahri as mid. My main role for the next season is gonna be AD Carry and I'm the best at Vayne, but I take a liking to Ashe (my first champ <3) and Quinn (gives me a reason to scream "VALOR TO ME"). I don't usually play male characters, but when I do.... free-week Thresh! AD uses lots of life-steal, but Thresh uses 100% wife-steal, no?

FM: SHOTS FIRED! *dies* Returning to the topic of KH, what expectations do you have for Kingdom Hearts III?

ANX: I think that Sora and Kairi would do good finally ending up together, but I don't believe that is going to happen. xD It would be of some importance if another person "dies" (who really "dies" in KH, anyway?), but I know all the characters are going to come together....if this is the final game. *dun dun dun*

FM: The day SoKairi becomes canon is the day Nomura finally loses his will to the fans. Now as you said before, we have editors from all over the world. How do you find America?

ANX: Seems like all of the others assume America is the typical stereotype of fat people, McDonalds', bald eagles and screaming "FREEDOM".... but they are exactly right. xD

FM: And here, some people think that America adores the UK and everything else British xD

ANX: WELL, the fandom girls do. Britain is only satisfactory in its pop culture aspect to us, but our government is better in its general flow of democracy. We need a new president that won't run us into debt anymore.

FM: See, our community is so cool that we even talk politics!

ANX: I like good people who run the government, which does not include Repubs/Demos but Libertarians!

FM: Okay, how about some questions about you. I hear that you enjoy studying languages? Which languages do you know?

ANX: Yo hablo español y je parle petit français (Je suis en FR un!). Говоря булгарски! I can read the Bulgarian alphabet (not sure if my teacher is actually going to teach me how to speak it) and know little Italian from a little app called Duolingo! I know very limited Japanese characters, but I'm working on it! Language is the best subject I have at school, and I would love to learn more about it! My dream job is to be a translator or an interpreter.
Image of Nami from LoL, for use in the Mark of Mastery for Issue 3

FM: Yeah, language is the best subject, no matter what the guy from my maths class says *looks around warily*... Okay, favourite animal?

ANX: I honestly have no idea what my favorite animal is but I did take a huge liking to cats previously *shudders*. I like cats and hedgehogs are kinda cute. Bunnies are cute.

FM: Lastly, what is the one thing that annoys you most?

ANX: People who wear fandom merch and either A) don't realize it is a fandom reference and wonder why so many girls are saying "wibbly-wobbly timey wimey" around them or; B) don't know more than three or so songs of Pink Floyd or whatever band t-shirt they wear. I believe if I were to get a Pink Floyd t-shirt, I would never deem myself worthy and would never wear it.

FM: *Sounds of hundreds of teenagers frantically rushing to burn their T-shirts* I BELIEVE THAT CONCLUDES OUR INTERVIEW!

ANX: It does? How sad, I loved to channel my pet peeves to the world so they don't do them! *laughs maniacally*

FM: You can use the power of the IRC (and the force) to continue your campaign! Last words to the readers at home?

ANX: DON'T PROCRASTINATE ON PROJECTS. Please vote FM as moderator of the Kingdom Hearts Wiki (also me!) *shot*

FM: But mainly her! ^_^

ANX: Oh FM... *blushes*

FM: Haha, thanks for your time, you've been amazing~

Note from FM: I thought it would be nice to do something like this instead of the usual KH puzzle, but what if we missed someone out? It's all very apprehensive and nail-biting. If your name isn't on the list, I shall hug you and cry until you forgive me. ALTHOUGH, if you're not on here and you're from the Keyhole, I can put my hands up and say... BLAME DRAAEK; HE WAS IN CHARGE OF KEYHOLE NAMES! xD Also, the placing of the names was done through a random generator so it was COMPLETELY coincidental how I ended up in the smack-center of the wordsearch. I swears >.>

Note from Draaek: Hey it wasn't MY fault but YOURS because someone from the Keyhole kindly gave us the list and YOU, THE ONE IN CHARGE OF HAVING BOTH LISTS DIDN'T TAKE NOTE OF IT! Aside from that, if we did miss you in the list we shall deeply apologize and see if we can do something for you in return, right FM?

Counter-Note from FM: Huhu, you got me. Good thing I'm sending the email to CoF so I can add another note and get the last say *evil laugh*. Draaek was there when Aixon gave us the list and didn't save it either. Share the blame, you! And yes, if we missed you and my hugs do not win you over, how does a cookie sound?

Dear Chainoffire
What do you think about the capes being added into Terra's final scene in the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX version of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep?

Well, I'll admit that perhaps I was a bit harsh during last issue's criticism of the decision to not put in capes in 2.5. I let my emotions get the best of me, and that was an unprofessional thing to do.

As for your question, when I first saw the video of the cape popping out, I freaked like a little fangirl! I was so happy to see that Square got my message. But then I watched it again, and the more I thought about it, the way they did it... it could've been better.

Since they had the time to put it in there and didn't have to make an all new render for Terra, perhaps they could have DONE THAT FOR THE ENTIRE GAME?!?! NOT GOOD ENOUGH SQUARE, NOT GOOD ENOUGH. HECK NO, I'M NOT SATISFIED. THE CAPE DIDN'T SERVE A PURPOSE, IT WAS JUST THERE. GOSH DANG IT!

*Slams the door as he exits the room, causing his cape to whoosh behind him.*

Love from Chainoffire and everyone at the KHWiki and Keyhole!

Dear Xion4ever
What do you think will become of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance now that all the other games are in HD?

I think our chances of an HD remake are very likely. I can see it as one of the final games/"things" Nomura does before the release of Kingdom Hearts III.

Truth be told, an HD remake of KH3D will probably be released just to postpone the release of KHIII even more. Haha.

P.S from The Editor: Yes, two people can answer the same question. I mean... why not?

Love from Xion4ever and everyone at the KHWiki and Keyhole!

What type of questions can I send into the Flick Rush Mailbag?

Good question, completely anonymous person who's totally not me! You sound like a really awesome person. You are, aren't you anon who is, and I cannot stress this enough, NOT FINALREST? *looks shiftily from side to side*

Anyway, this mailbag is available for any questions you have related to KHWiki, the Keyhole, or the beloved Kingdom Hearts series. If it relates to those three things, you're good to go!

Send us your question and we'll do our best to get them to answer! Want to know how chocolate is made? Don't ask us about that. That's not Kingdom Hearts related. I admire your dedication to the confectionary arts, though.

The Flick Rush mailbag is here for all kinds of random advice, ranting and opinion sharing. Send us in a message... or two... or ten... or a thousand, for all we care! Wait, maybe not a thousand. We're not equipped for that.

So how do you send us a message? All the information you need is at the bottom of this mailbag section (right below this letter!). We're here to chat, so get talking! We eagerly await your correspondence!

Poll Results title image for Flick Rush
Results compiled by FinalRest

In our last issue we asked you...
What new content are you most looking forward to in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX?
Here's what you said!

Poll results, for use in Flick Rush for Issue 3

It looks like we've got a lot of fighters, as New Bosses (such as Roxas, Lingering Will, Monstro, and Armored Masters) were the most anticipated of the new 2.5 content, with 23 supporters and a whopping 48% of the total votes.

In second was a tie, with New Episodes (Cavern of Remembrance and Realm of Darkness) and New Voice Cutscenes both earning 7 votes and a cool 15% each.

A close third goes to the fantastic HD graphics, which 6 people (12%) were looking forward to. Fourth was another tie, both New Items and "I'm not looking forward to it at all" taking 2 votes each, leaving them for 4%.

In last place was New Challenges (the likes of Mushroom XIII and Unversed Battles), which only got one vote and 2%. I guess we can't blame you guys; those Mushrooms sure are a pain!

Thanks to all those that participated and we look forward to seeing what the results of our next poll will be!

End of Year Event 2014 Title Image
by TheFifteenthMember

Welcome to 2014's End of Year Event results page, brought to you via a special one issue only page!

For the unaware, the KHWiki launched an End of Year Event back in 2012, which was a lot of fun and offered a lot of enjoyment. For 2014 we wished to recreate something similarly exciting but we also wanted something fresh. This time, the KHWiki cooperated with the Keyhole and two new ideas were selected for 2014's event.

The event happened over December and, in this article, I will announce the results and winners of the two contests!

User Trivia Contest title image for End of Year Event page
Team Éclair win with 83%!
Team χ end at 50%!

In the user trivia contest, members of our community each submitted a single trivial fact about themselves. Then, they were put into two groups and were made to match up the other team's names to the correct fact. KeybladeSpyMaster, the man in charge of handling the responses, added in his own bonus fact for both teams. The team with the most accuracy in guessing the bonus fact had 13% added to their total score.

The groups also chose team names, leading to the formation of "Team Éclair" and "Team χ".

After a month of guessing and predicting, we can finally reveal the rightful owners of each fact!

Team Éclair
  • Aixon: I am a scarf fanatic (I like to wear scarves.)
  • ANX219: This user does not own a PlayStation or any of the Kingdom Hearts games on PlayStation consoles.
  • Braviaggron: I live where the penultimate Pokémon game's region comes from.
  • Coldasfire: I have synesthesia - confusion of the senses.
  • FinalRest: I really dislike corn, any type of seafood, coffee, tea, and pizza. If I taste or even just smell any of those things, I feel sick.
  • RoxasNobody: I speak fluent German.
  • TheFifteenthMember: Life as a lexicographer sounds rather appealing to me.
  • KeybladeSpyMaster: I can sometimes sound similar to Ansem, Seeker of Darkness.
Team χ
  • ByzantineFire: I'm a fan of Marvel and Star Wars and am currently playing 2.5.
  • Chainoffire: I don't own any Kingdom Hearts paraphernalia other than the games, despite it being my biggest "fandom".
  • Master Riku the Bloody: In contrast to the amount I type, I am rather silent in real life.
  • Pea14733: I have never welcomed any newcomers.
  • RoadtoDawn: I have already changed my username to something a little less obvious.
  • ShadowsTwilight: Practices amateur ventriloquism and has a small hand puppet named Rick.
  • TheSilentHero: I wear a replica of Sora's crown necklace.
  • KeybladeSpyMaster I'm quite knowledgeable about the series, considering I haven't played any of the games other than Birth by Sleep in the last five years.

First, let's take a look at Team Éclair's scores.

Team Éclair are an Aixciting bunch of FResh minds. They RNergetic, ANXazing, CAFantastic, and full of Braviado! Read that sentence out aloud; I am going to get skewered for including that in :P Not to mention, I'm on that team! They scored 83% with four of their members guessing all questions correct! Planning and discussing together over the campfire definitely paid off. On the other hand, only five got the bonus question correct.

Now, we go over to Team χ.

EOTYE scoreboard, for use in Page 14 of Issue 3

Team χ scored 37%, but did better at the bonus question than Team Éclair, as six people answered correctly! That gives them the additional 13% added to their scores, leaving them with a final score of 50%.

That means Team Éclair are the winners, so congratulations to all of Éclair's members! Everyone on the team shall be awarded a shiny winner plaque and, more importantly, we can all treat ourselves to that victory éclair! Ooooh :D

Let's not forget Team χ, who participated with great effort and valour. They'll also be receiving plaques for their user page!

And that ends the user trivia contest! With fifteen users involved and a month of team conversation, (including some inter-team haggling...) I'd call it a success! Special thanks to ANX219 for coming up with the wonderful idea and applause for everyone who took part!

Design-a-World Contest title image

1st Place KeybladeSpyMaster
2nd Place RoxasNobody
3rd Place RoadtoDawn

For the Design-a-World contest, competitors wrote up skits for a world idea that could be used in a future KH game. Once we had all the nominations, the public voted on their favourite world idea. Now, we shall announce the results of the votes!

EOTYE scoreboard, for use in Page 14 of Issue 3

Altogether, there were ten votes.

Two votes went to RoadToDawn's Up sketch, with comments that his was the "best presented".

Then, we have three for RoxasNobody, with people mentioning that they "have some nostalgia for the TENG movie" or, as someone else put it, "The Emperor's New Groove. 'Nuff said".

Lastly, with five votes, KeybladeSpyMaster takes the gold for his Wreck-it Ralph world. Some said it was the "most elaborate, detailed and fitting plot" and that "KSM's world contains some nice detail, and it's obvious that thought has gone into creating it".

For your interest, the votes of the competitors themselves will be disclosed.

  • RoadtoDawn voted for RoxasNobody.
  • RoxasNobody voted for KeybladeSpyMaster
  • And KeybladeSpyMaster voted for RoadtoDawn.

Am I the only one who spots the love triangle here? *is shot*

All competitors will receive a special plaque for their userspace! Congratulations to all three of them for their hard work, props to maggosh for the idea, and thank you everyone who voted!

Now we conclude the End of Year Event 2014! Again, thank you everyone who took part or helped out in any way. All of us at the KHWiki and the Keyhole wish you a happy 2015!
So... End of Year Event 2015, anyone? *is shot*
