Template:Enemy Luxu is a Keyblade Master who appears in Kingdom Hearts χ. He is an apprentice of the Master of Masters.

Story

Before Kingdom Hearts Back Cover

Luxu is given a Keyblade forged from his own heart by the Master of Masters, who takes Luxu, Aced, Ava, Gula, Invi and Ira, as his apprentices. After Luxu passes the Mark of Mastery exam, he achieves the rank of Keyblade Master alongside his fellow apprentices.

Meeting with Luxu alone in the Foreteller's Chamber, the Master of Masters bestows him with the No Name Keyblade. Luxu addresses the Keyblade by the "Gazing Eye", which is encased within it, though the Master of Masters corrects him about its name, instead addressing it as "No Name". The Master tells him that the Gazing Eye within the Keyblade belongs to him, much to Luxu's disgust, and that Luxu's role is to pass down No Name to his apprentice, and him to his, so that the Gazing Eye can see the future. Luxu realizes that the Book of Prophecies is the result of him successfully completing his role.

Sending Luxu on his way, the Master informs him that he will not be receiving a copy of the Book of Prophecies like his fellow apprentices, as the Master does not want to risk creating any temporal paradoxes. Luxu voices his concerns over having to go about fulfilling his role alone, asking what will happen to the other apprentices. The Master of Masters assures him not to worry about them, as it is important that Luxu, the No Name Keyblade, and a mysterious box engraved with the words "χ Super" stay out of sight, cautioning Luxu that his role is to simply watch things unfold between his fellow apprentices. When Luxu inquires on box's contents, the Master explains that it must remain a secret, as well as the fact that Luxu is never allowed to open it. With Luxu's brimming curiosity, the Master reveals its contents to him, which shocks Luxu and makes him question the Master's reasoning for placing what he had inside the box. The Master merely teases that Luxu will have to wait and see. Luxu then sets out to fulfill his role, disappearing as he travels through the Keyblade Graveyard with the mysterious box and No Name in hand.

Kingdom Hearts χ

With the Keyblade War approaching fast, Ava sees no other way to avert the cataclysmic event without the Master of Masters' aid. Knowing well that no one has been able to find the Master since his disappearance, Ava seeks out Luxu, aware Luxu is the only person who might be have knowledge on the Master's whereabouts. Eventually, Ava finds Luxu on the outskirts of Daybreak Town and asks him what he's been doing all this time. Luxu simply claims to that he is meant to continue on into the future written in the Book of Prophecies and see through the end of the world. Luxu surmises that Ava wants to avoid the Keyblade War and that she'd sought him out in order to find the Master, but Luxu deems her efforts as useless, as the world is beginning to end. At Ava's behest, Luxu addresses the mystery that is the Lost Page, explaining to Ava that it is a prophecy that the Foretellers don't know and that it is his mission to inherit said secrets, which is why he must pass on through the world just as the Lost Page dictates, as the Master's role to not be to act for the world's fate, but to act and watch Luxu carry out his role.

Bewildered, Ava frantically questions what is written on the Lost Page, and if Luxu is the traitor. Luxu summons his Keyblade and proceeds to tell her the truth about the traitor. Ava stands in disbelief, prompting Luxu to ask if she believes that she can stop reality. Ava states that she cannot believe that this is the reality, to which Luxu replies saying that it is for this reason that the Keyblade War is unavoidable. Ultimately, Luxu mentions that even if there was another answer, that would still be the result of the battle and questions if the Master would rather know how he will be guided by the key than the future of the world. Ava refuses to believe that the Master would choose them over the world, accusing Luxu to be taking his advantage of the Master's will. Drawing her Keyblade, Ava attacks Luxu, and the clashing of their Keyblades sends a ripple effect throughout Daybreak Town, which tolls the bell that signifies the beginning of the end.

Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-

With the No Name Keyblade in his hands, Luxu silently observes the conclusion of the Keyblade War, granting the Master of Masters knowledge of the event.

Appearance

Like the Master of Masters, Luxu wears a black coat.

Etymology

Luxu's name is derived from the word luxuria, which means "lust" in Latin.
