"Fragments of Sorrow" is a musical composition by Yoko Shimomura that appears in the Kingdom Hearts series. It is the battle theme of the End of the World and one of the battle themes of the Dive to the Heart.

Composition[edit]

"Fragments of Sorrow" is approximately two minutes and eighteen seconds in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. In Kingdom Hearts II, the piece is reduced to one minute and sixteen seconds. In Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, the piece is extended to two minutes and twenty seconds.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX version of “Fragments of Sorrow” appears as a track used in stages. It is also heard during the Mr. Sakurai Presents video presentation on Sora, where it is played while Masahiro Sakurai talks about Sora's three-hit combo attacks and Sora's reveal trailer, where it plays during the gameplay sequence. It also plays on Roxas's spirit battle.
