• "Kairi" appears in the Piano Collections Kingdom Hearts album. It is the second movement in "Sonata on Themes of Kingdom Hearts," along with tracks 5, 7, and 8.

Composition

"Kairi I" is approximately one minute and nineteen seconds long. It has a time signature of 4/4 time, and a tempo of 67 beats per minute. The piece is written in the key of E♭ [E flat] Major. It does not have an introduction or conclusion, allowing for smooth transitions between loops. Each loop is six measures long, with each repetition introducing a new instrument. The instrumentation consists of: acoustic guitar, flute, female choir ah's, piano, and synthesizer. This piece plays when Sora and Kairi alone and in-person, as is the case in both "Once we Set Sail" and "Kairi's Lucky Charm".

"Kairi II" is approximately one minute and three seconds long. It has a time signature of 4/4 time, and a tempo of 67 beats per minute. While being similar to "Kairi I", the acoustic guitar plays in a lower C minor, while the other instruments stay in E flat major. This piece only plays during the scene "Missing Kairi" in the Magician's Study.

"Kairi III" is approximately one minute and thirty five seconds long. It has a time signature of 4/4 time, and a tempo of 76 beats per minute. The piece is now fully written in the key of C minor. The instruments are now primarily a music box, female choir ah's, violin pizzicato, along with a piano and flute taking over the melody for five measures. This piece in Kingdom Hearts plays when Sora recalls Kairi saving him in Hallow Bastion while waiting for Cid in Traverse Town. This piece also plays in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX during the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days scene "Xion and Riku" when Xion discovers her connection with Kairi. Finally, Kairi III plays in Kingdom Hearts III during the scene "Light in Darkness"where Kairi alludes to her saving Sora from the darkness.
