Origin

Judy first appeared as the main protagonist of Disney's animated film Zootopia, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin. She is an idealistic bunny who wants to join the Zootopia Police Department to make the world a better place. Though she graduates from the Zootopia Police Academy as the valedictorian of her class, she is placed as a parking enforcement officer. On her first day, she is hustled by Nick Wilde, a cynical fox con artist who tells her that in Zootopia, despite the slogan that anyone can be anything, the city is harsh to the weak. The next day, a depressed Judy quickly abandons her post to arrest Duke Weaselton, a criminal who stole what appears to be moldy onions, and receives a harsh scolding from her superior Chief Bogo. However, when Mrs. Otterton appears to request a search for her missing husband Emmitt, Judy accepts the case, but is given a time limit to solve the case in 48 hours; otherwise, she resigns from the force.

Judy figures out from a photograph that Nick was the last known person who had seen Mr. Otterton, so she tracks him down and bribes him into helping her solve the case. Along the way, Judy learns from Nick about his past as a victim of bullying. They discover that Otterton, along with other missing mammals, is held in a secret facility held by Zootopia's mayor. However, in a press conference, Judy accidentally lets slip a comment implying predators are reverting back to natural instinct. Nick leaves Judy, Judy quits the police force, and Zootopia falls into disarray. Later, Judy realizes that the onions Weaselton stole are really night howlers, a plant that can make anyone who makes contact with it go savage, and recruits Nick to investigate. They soon discover that the missing mammals's disappearance was all courtesy of Assistant Mayor Bellwether, who intends on using the chaos to rule Zootopia through fear. Judy and Nick manage to foil Bellwether's scheme and get reinstated into the Zootopia Police Department. Template:BoxTop
