Episode 25: What It Means To Be a Hero, also called Episode 25: That's What a Hero's All About, is the twenty-fifth chapter in the Kingdom Hearts manga.

Synopsis
The front page shows Sora, Donald, and Goofy undergoing Phil's training. The back page shows two wooden targets used in Phil's training.
The trio start their first training session with Phil, tackling all necessary components of being a hero: strength, kindness, being there for the weak, and being good looking. Phil tells Sora that in order to be a true hero, one must have a strong heart. Hercules appears, remarking at the new faces participating in the games this year.

The scene goes to Hades, furious at the only person preventing him from world domination: Hercules. He goes to a chess-like board, with matching Sora, Hercules, and Cloud pieces. He picks the Cloud piece up, knocking the Sora and Hercules pieces over. Hades talks of how Cloud will defeat Hercules and Sora, allowing Hades to use the Keyblade to unlock the seal locking the titans in the Underworld.
Story
During their training, Phil explains what it means to be a hero. He then introduces them to Hercules, who notices a lot of suspicious entries in the Games. Meanwhile, Hades is going over his plan to have Cloud take out Sora and Hercules, so he can get the Keyblade to release the Titans and rule the cosmos.

Back at the Coliseum, the games have already begun, with Sora and company quickly climbing up the ranks. Before their match with Cloud, Donald comments on the numbers of Heartless appearing in the world. The match with Cloud starts, with Cloud easily defeating the group. While he has Sora pinned to the ground, Cerberus appears, swiping Cloud away. Hercules runs in, ordering everyone to leave. Sora turns around, going back to help Hercules. Sora tells Hercules to take Cloud and run; they will handle Cerberus. Phil offers two words of advice to the group: attack.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy are fighting their way through the tournament. The amount of Heartless that are competing makes them realize they need to find the world's Keyhole. In their next match, they are easily defeated by Cloud, who then questions Hades's motives. Realizing his plan is going wrong, Hades sends Cerberus to the arena, who takes out Cloud. As it preprares to attack Sora, Hercules appears and keeps it busy so the others can run away. Back inside, they hear the sounds of the fight, and Sora decides to go back to help Hercules, with Donald and Goofy tagging along. In the arena, the three prepare to fight Cerberus.
