Template:Enemy The Spirit of the Magic Mirror is an Unversed that is found in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. It is one of the bosses at Dwarf Woodlands.

Story

Terra returns to the Queen without Snow White's heart. The Queen, most likely through the use of the mirror, already knows he's failed. However, Terra explains that he never planned to take Snow White's heart. He also adds that though the Queen claims to be radiant, there are thick shadows of jealous clinging to her heart. Insulted and enraged, the Queen commands the Magic Mirror to consume Terra. However, the mirror apologises to the Queeen; he has no power except to answer questions with the truth. This being the last straw, the Queen smashes a potion against the mirror, forcing it to obey her command; it sucks Terra into its realm to due battle.

However, Terra defeats the mirror and it gives him a riddle as to where Master Xehanort is - "Beyond both light and dark, he dwells. Where war was raged upon the fells." Terra thanks the mirror and leaves.

When Aqua later enters the Magic Mirror Chamber to look for an antidote to the poisoned apple the Queen gave Snow White, the mirror's presence makes her fell uneasy. Once she investigates it, the Magic Mirror Spirit appears before her and sucks Aqua into its realm to fight (for appearently no reason what-so-ever). Once defeated again, the mirror offers Aqua a parting message before vanishing - "The Queen is gone, my service done. Adieu, o victorious one."

Strategy

The Magic Mirror is a fairly easy boss. Its primary move is to create reflections of itself after sinking into the reflective surface and rise with Magic Mirror copies in either a path or circle formation, which shoot fireballs from their mouths. However, the real Magic Mirror can easily be spotted, being the only mask that has a smile on its face. Once the smiling Magic Mirror is attacked, the fake ones will vanish. The Magic Mirror can also maneuver as an attack, which is followed by frame-by-frame motion. It can also charge straight at you, an attack that can easily be dodged by moving to the left or right, or by guarding. Sometimes the Magic Mirror will float over you and shoot fireballs from above. When playing as Aqua, beware of the occasional white fireball the boss shoots as it can confuse Aqua, mixing up her movements.

Attacks

• Fireball: Spits fireballs from its mouth.
• Reflection: Creates reflections of itself in either a wall or a circle, pelting players with fireballs.
• Sidestep: Moves from side to side, damaging players while leaving frame-by-frame reflections of itself.
• Charge: Dives at players from above.
• White Fireball: Used only against Aqua. Teleports in and out of the arena while pelting the player with white fireballs, causing confusion status.
