However, Vexen reveals he is not the real Vexen, but rather a replica of Vexen, created to continue his research. Xaldin attacks him, claiming all the research they need has been completed. This angers [[Vex Replica No. 44]], who freezes Xaldin and shatters him. Afterwards, he walks through the city, vowing to discover the deepest secrets of the heart. Chapter 19: What Became of the Researcher Vexen is the ninteenth chapter in the Kingdom Hearts II manga.
Story
Xaldin is shocked to see Vexen, thinking he has been eliminated at Castle Oblivion, and assumes he is after revenge on Organization XIII. However, Vexen reveals he is not the real Vexen, but rather a replica of Vexen, created to continue his research. Xaldin attacks him, claiming all the research they need has been completed. This angers Vex Replica No. 44, who freezes Xaldin and shatters him. Afterwards, he walks through the city, vowing to discover the deepest secrets of the heart.
