The Ether is a recurring item that was introduced in Kingdom Hearts. It can typically be used in battle to restore MP to one target.

Mechanics[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts, an Ether restores three MP to one party member.

In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Ether is an item card that instantly restores all magic cards that have been used, but not those lost through sleights.

In Kingdom Hearts II, an Ether fully restores one party member's MP. When used during MP Charge, the Ether reduces the MP Charge Gauge by (target's maximum MP + 2) x 0.2 seconds.

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Ether is an item panel which restores one cast of each type of magic installed by the user.

In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Ether is an item command that raises Data-Sora's Clock level by one. One slot in the Command Deck can hold three Ethers, with a memory consumption of 11%.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Ether is an item command that restores 50% of the user's Focus Gauge. One slot in the Command Deck can hold four Ethers.

In Kingdom Hearts χ, an Ether restores 1 BP.

In Kingdom Hearts III, an Ether restores one party member's MP by 100. When used during MP Charge, it depletes the MP Charge Gauge by 50%.

In Kingdom Hearts V CAST, Ethers can be found in chests or purchased from Save Points for 10 Munny. Ethers restore some of Sora's MP and can be activated by casting a spell when his MP gauge is already 0.
