Master Form is a Drive Form that handles both the Keyblade and magic which appears in Kingdom Hearts II. It uses both of your party members, and consumes four of Sora's Drive Bars. It represents the fusion of Valor Form and Wisdom Form[1], and is obtained when Sora reunites with King Mickey at Hollow Bastion. Its emblem is a yellow saltire.

Mechanics

Master Form allows Sora to wield two Keyblades, the second one telekinetically, and is a powerful damage-dealer, proficient with both physical attacks and magic. This form's fighting style is primarily aerial based, consisting of leaps, flips, and spins. All attacks, both physical combos and offensive magic, send Sora in midair even when executed on the ground, having no ground attacks whatsoever. His attacks are fast and can often stun the enemies. While in this form, Sora runs faster than his normal speed, and becomes able to perform magic enhanced by the Master Magic ability and without any finishers thanks to the Endless Magic ability.

Master Form gains 1 experience point for every small Drive Orb obtained, and gains 3 experience points for every big Drive Orb obtained. Leveling up upgrades this form's Growth Ability, Aerial Dodge, for both itself and Sora's standard form. Leveling up also grants Auto Master and two Air Combo Plus abilities to Sora's standard form.

Strategy

Since Master Form levels by collecting Drive Orbs, grinding involves defeating enemies quickly so that they drop orbs. The Gambler can also be a good choice to battle; just continuously use the "Stop Dice" and "Begin Game" Reaction Commands to obtain quick Drive Orbs while in Master Form. The best Keyblades for training Master Form are balanced weapons, such as Oathkeeper, Bond of Flame, and Ultima Weapon. The Land of Dragons is a particularly good place to train, owing to the destructible explosives that drop Drive Orbs.

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, a great place to train is the Cavern of Remembrance, due to the balloons that drop Drive Orbs when attacked. Also, the Sweet Memories Keychain can be equipped to make use of its Drive Converter ability, increasing the amount of Drive Orbs dropped.
