Aqua using Mega Flare in the Mirage Arena.

Mega Flare (メガフレア Mega Furea?) is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It allows the user to summon a fireball that creates a blinding, screen-distorting explosion that heavily damages all enemies on-screen, dealing fire damage.

Mechanics

Sora using Mega Flare in Castle Oblivion in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.

In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Mega Flare is a magic sleight that can be used by Sora. Its card combination is:

Mushu (card).png + Fire (card).png + Fire (card).png

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Mega Flare is an Ultimate magic command that takes up two slots in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 6 and a normal reload time of 50 seconds, 25 seconds in the original Japanese version, and fills the Command Gauge by 55%. In the international and Final Mix releases, the power of Mega Flare was reduced from the original Japanese release for the purpose of balancing combat.[citation needed]

In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Mega Flare is a Simple Type Finish command.

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Mega Flare is a magic command that uses two slots in the Command Deck and has a reload time of 46 seconds. It grants +4 to Magic and +30 to Fire Resistance when attached to a Dream Eater recipe. While in Dive Mode, Mega Flare is a special magic attack that can be used twice. In Flick Rush, Mega Flare is an evolved card that deals damage to the entire enemy's team.
