Hollow Bastion II is the seventh episode of Kingdom Hearts coded, and the second that takes place in the world of Hollow Bastion. The majority of the episode takes place within the data of Data-Riku, who lies comatose in the Grand Hall.
Unlike most other episodes, Hollow Bastion II does not feature a Questploration option after it has been completed.
Settings and Areas
From Inside Riku's Data, Data-Sora can enter five doors. The first takes him to Destiny Islands. The second takes him to Traverse Town, divided into the First District and Second District. The third takes him to Wonderland at the Clearing, leading to the Lotus Forest. The fourth takes him to Agrabah at the Cave / Entrance, leading to the Hall of Beginnings. The final door takes him to the Chapel where he encounters another bugged Data-Riku.
The side-scrolling segment also takes place in Inside Riku's Data and the 3D shooting segment takes place in the Data Tunnel. After Data-Sora leaves Riku's data, the two are in the Grand Hall, in Hollow Bastion.
Story
After Data-Sora defeats Data-Riku, Riku collapses, with Bug Blox corrupting him. Mickey arrives and tells Sora that unless all the bugs in his body are destroyed, Data-Riku will never wake up.
Data-Sora uses his Keyblade to enter Data-Riku's data, meeting with Riku's consciousness. Riku leads Sora through his memories to destroy the bugs and to recover his own power. Sora goes through each memory one by one until he discovers the source, a corrupted version of Riku himself. Sora destroys the source and then attempts to escape Riku's data however Maleficent tries to interfere with Data-Riku's recovery. Data-Sora defeats Maleficent, and Riku awakens.
