The tornado-filled terrain may have been what felled such great warriors in the last round. Or perhaps it was their destiny to be destroyed, here in the Badlands. Greater forces are at work, in this trench, none of which can be fought by any of these great warriors. Whether they be a duck, a hunter, or just a young girl, fate has led them here--and only fate will decide if they get to come back out.

@DTN DTN, you are entitled to your own "FFVII void of destruction thing" and so is evryone who follows you, but just try not to suck in those who are unwilling or don't have the same beliefs. Yeah, but they are doing no different than any of us, just saying their own opinions, Plus, if they are such an unstoppable force, then why bother just lwave them be. But for all I know you are more right than I am, since I don't think I have encountered anyone like that. But still, exscuse them for liking a game. You can say what you want, but when it involves actual people, try to choose your words carefully. (Also, what you got against Sephiroth?)(I've never played X-2, let alone X, but from just seeing KHFM's trailer of it, it does look pretty annoying, especially since I don't have any idea what they were saying) AROS 21:20, November 14, 2010 (UTC) Final Fantasy X was a pretty good game with a great battle system and interesting story, plus it had Auron. This was countered by the pretty ridiculous character design and, to a much greater degree, the horrible characters. Tidus was an annoying prick, Wakka was an insensitive, moronic jackass, Lulu was unbridled fanservice which automatically pissed me off, but was otherwise okay, Rikku was annoying and unbridled fanservice, and Yuna was more subtle fanservice with a sympathetic personality. I couldn't really hate Yuna, stupid though she may have been, since she was sacrificing herself to save lives and was essentially the real hero of the game. She was a sheltered, humble, quiet girl, and I liked that. Final Fantasy X-2 on the other hand, turned her into an attention-seeking, thrill-seeking pile of fanservice like every single other character in that game. I don't mind the idea of Yuna finally being able to be "free" of the overwhelming responsibility she had, but that does not translate to wearing hotpants, and a tank top that barely covers anything. There wasn't any indication whatsoever that she was like that in FFX, and it just seems to me like she's chanelling Tidus and all his annoying powers. To me, this game was wretched, despite having a good battle system, because of the unforgivable amount of fanservice in it. Fanservice pisses me off normally - it's never, repeat never necessary, typically takes down an otherwise respectable character, male or female (sadly, females are far more prone to being the subjects since sexism abounds in video games), and instantly makes it so neither I nor anyone I may try and tell the game about can take it seriously. Look at Lulu, or Rikku in her bikini for X-2, or Yuna in hotpants, or LeBlanc in... whatever she's wearing (which is the name of my seventy-yeard old, male, awesome AP US techer, further ruining any threat she could have) and just try to tell someone "That's the most powerful Black Mage alive/She's a thief/She's the main character/She's the recurring antagonist". An entire game based on it in a series that otherwise doesn't stoop so pissed me off even more, and doubly so, since it flat-out ruined the few good things about Yuna's character. Rant. @Dan Okay, sort of cleared up on the "Brain/Brian/Whatever-Blessed" thing, but now I'm lost on the "GORDON" thing. Okay, a semi-apology for DTN (semi because it's in the case of this vote), on account for me missreading his vote comment. He said "Sora had less 'belts' than Lulu" but the first time I thought he said "he had less 'faults' than Lulu". Total epic misreading fail. Also Lapis, though I agree with your words (and I know the parahgraph ribbing is directed towards me), I can't quite find the source of your "calling another character gay" example (because I never said that, and I don't think that's what DTN was referring to with the whole "belts" comment), unless you're using non-specific examples.
