Two Wooden Keyblades have been seen in the Kingdom Hearts series. One is seen in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and is a toy weapon made by Terra; the other is seen in Kingdom Hearts χ and is a makeshift weapon made by the Moogle in Daybreak Town in an attempt to create a powerful new weapon.
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
Terra's Wooden Keyblade is first seen in Ventus' flashback, where he wields it in a sparring match against Ven with his Wooden Sword. After the match, he bestows it upon Ven as he discusses his dream of being a Keyblade master.
Ventus later made his way to Radiant Garden, fooling around with the toy Keyblade while contemplating a means of saving Terra from the darkness. Lea later approaches him, taking the Wooden Keyblade in his own hands before continuing a conversation between him, Ventus, and Isa, as well as battling Ventus. While exploring Neverland, Ventus leaves it in a treasure chest along with several wooden swords, Aqua later discovering the same chest. Vanitas subsequently steals the Wooden Keyblade and confronts Aqua, telling her that Ventus has "outgrown" the toy before casually snapping the toy weapon in half, an act of cruelty that both horrifies and enrages Aqua greatly. However, after defeating Vanitas, Aqua assures Peter Pan that it was all right when he shows concern over it, reassuring him that their friendship could not be broken so easily.
Kingdom Hearts χ
During the Moogle O' Glory sequence of Special Quests, a Moogle attempts to battle some Heartless with a Keychain attached to a Wooden Keyblade. However, the weapon falls apart before he can begin fighting, and the Moogle runs away, leaving behind the Keychain. When the player makes to battle the Heartless themselves, the Keychain attaches to the player's Keyblade, transforming it into Moogle O' Glory. Later, the Moogle is seen carrying the pieces of its Wooden Keyblade.
Design
Terra's Wooden Keyblade has an uncanny resemblance to the Ends of the Earth and the Kingdom Key, though it is missing a Keychain. Terra's name is carved into the guard. Made completely from wood, the handle is a dark brown in coloration, same for the tip. Teeth are placed unevenly on both sides, held together by rope, same as the hilt.
The Moogle's Wooden Keyblade is designed to resemble the first iteration of the Starlight Keyblade. Rather than one solid piece, the Keyblade is made from several individual scraps of wood that have been affixed together by various methods. The teeth, bound to the shaft with rope, are formed from a crudely-nailed five-pointed star, with a spike on the other end. The shaft is joined to the guard with tape, and the guard is made from five pieces nailed together. The handle is wrapped with tape, and painted on the shaft is a Moogle's face. Hooked to the pommel is the Moogle O' Glory's Keychain of leaves and a Kupo Nut.
