Project Xehanort is the working title for an upcoming game set in the Kingdom Hearts series. It will be released on iOS, Android, and Amazon smartphone devices and set to be released in Spring 2020. It was announced on January 23, 2020 via Twitter.[1]

The game will explore why Xehanort became a seeker of darkness.

Development

The game was first hinted by series creator Tetsuya Nomura on January 22, 2020 in a Q&A to celebrate the released of Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind and that it will be announced by the Kingdom Hearts Union χ team on January 23, 2020.[2][3]

Project Xehanort final English name was hinted by the official Twitter account and that will be two words and contain eight letters.[4] While the final Japanese name will be two words and contain six katakanas.[5]
