"2.9 - The First Volume" is the ending of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-. It uses in-game graphics and voice acting, and ends with the phrase "Reconnect. Kingdom Hearts". It serves as the true ending and acts as a prologue to Kingdom Hearts III. A slightly condensed version of the scene was later used in the opening scenes of Kingdom Hearts III itself.
Synopsis[edit]
Having learned the role he unknowingly played in sealing Aqua's fate, Riku demands to know why King Mickey kept it secret.
