The Wishing Star (ウィッシュスター, Wisshu Sutā?, lit. "Wish Star") can be gained after having escaped Monstro in Kingdom Hearts, the giant whale who swallowed Pinocchio and his father, Gepetto. Gepetto will then buy a house in Traverse Town, next to the accessory shop. The chest, located in the corner of the room Gepetto is standing in, contains the Wishing Star. Like the Fairy Harp it has a very short reach, but unlike any other keyblade, it lands a guaranteed powerful critical hit at the end of every combo. But even so, it is not very useful, since a guaranteed critical hit doesn't do any good, if the blade is too short to connect that hit.
Appearance
The Wishing Star's overall appearance is similar to the cogs and gears in a clock. The teeth of the keyblade is one gear attached to the main blade by a piece of wood. There is another small gear on the main blade. The handguard is comprised of four gears of various colours, and pieces of wood attached to pulleys with string connecting the pulley to the gear. The keychain is the wishing star in Pinocchio heart

Trivia
- The alternated form of Kairi's good-luck charm by Naminé in Chain of Memories bears a striking resemblance to the Wishing Star's keychain.
- When fighting Black Fungi, it is best to use this Keyblade as they will leave behind rare items for synthesis, but only if they die on the last hit.
