Gravity (グラビデ Gurabide?), Gravira (グラビラ Gurabira?), and Graviga (グラビガ Gurabiga?) magic are attacks used by Sora, Donald, and other characters and enemies that utilize the element of Darkness.

Gravity appeared in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It was replaced by Magnet in Kingdom Hearts II.

Uses

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Ventus has been shown using a type of Gravity spell called Zero Gravity to make enemies float.

Kingdom Hearts

Gravity creates a dark sphere to temporarily flatten all enemies in range and deal damage equal to a fraction of their current HP. The fraction varies depending on both the level of the spell and Sora's magic strength. Even if an enemy has 1 HP left, the spell will not kill them. All character bosses are resistant to Gravity, as are most enemies in the later stages of the game.

It can be used by:

Enemies that use Gravity Magic

Other Uses

  • In Kingdom Hearts II, the Gravity names are used to mark the ranks of spread-shot Projectile Gummi Blocks.
  • In Kingdom Hearts, Gravity can be used against Yellow Opera, and other like enemies for tech points. Gravity is also used to lower the treasure chests in Hollow Bastion.

Trivia

  • Based upon one's choices at the beginning of the game, gravity magic has the potential to be especially effective against non-character bosses due to the high Dark-based damage it is able to inflict under certain circumstances.
