Template:Enemy The Ringer is an Unversed found in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. The player can transform into this Unversed using the exclusive Illusion-R command.

Design

The Ringer is a small, colorful Unversed shaped like a pot or jar. Its body is separated into two halves by a silver, crescent-shaped highlight across its midsection. Its lower half is blue and decorated by several small, silver diamonds. Its upper half is yellow and its lid, which sports two small wings that it uses to fly, is red. Its red eyes are set in a happy expression.

The Ringer's name is a reference to the way it rings when correctly attacked while fought in its Unversed Mission.

Strategy

Main article: Unversed Mission

The Ringer's Unversed Mission is to amass at least 40 points by finding and defeating the real Ringer as many times as possible within two minutes. Ringers appear one at a time on the field, marked by a glowing light overhead. When approached, it surrounds itself with decoys, making the mission a task of finding the real Ringer amongst the decoys. Each Ringer defeated grants a point, but defeating the correct Ringer will slay the copies as well, while defeating a copy will deduct five seconds from the clock. Subsequent groups will have increasing numbers of decoys, making the task of finding the correct Ringer more difficult. Ringers cannot be damaged by Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, or Aero-based commands, so non-elemental commands and basic attacks are key to slaying the Ringers. The best way to win is to keep an eye on the real Ringer when the decoys appear and strike at the right time.

Trivia

  • Unlike the other Unversed Missions, which use the combat theme for their location, the Ringer mission uses Vim and Vigor.
