Template:Enemy The Element Cluster is an Unversed found in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix.

Design

The Element Cluster is a totem pole-like Unversed comprised of three different sections. Its top head is roughly diamond-shaped and is a dull shade of purple with blue highlights near its center. It has two diamond-shaped "arms" on its sides reminiscent of ice crystals. Its face is black and its red eyes are set in a sorrowful expression. It has a small hole in its base so connect to the section below it, and has a conical, white spike on its top.

The middle face is more spherical and is brick red with bright magenta highlights. It has two black, wide, curved "arms" resembling tongues of flame on its sides. It has a white, heart-shaped face and its red eyes are set in an angry expression. It has a small hole in its base and a conical, magenta spike in its top to connect to the other sections.

The bottom face is roughly triangular or conical and is yellow with orange highlights. It has two blue, zig-zagging "arms" resembling lightning bolts on its sides. Its face is a metallic grey color and its red eyes are set in a happy expression. It has a hole in its base and a conical, orange spike on its top to connect to the sections. The Element Cluster's three heads frequently change positions with each other, and it has three Unversed Emblems, one on the back of each of its heads.

The Element Cluster's name reflects its three heads, each of which can cast a different elemental type of magic. A "cluster" is a group of things close together, like the Unversed's heads.

Strategy

The Element Cluster can be found exclusively in Neverland; specifically in the Indian Camp. Terra, Ventus and Aqua all have access to this area.

A manageable way to take out the Element Cluster is to have a varied deck: have ice creams of the three elemental Command Styles -- Firestorm, Diamond Dust and Thunderbolt -- and also include Firaga, Blizzaga and Thundaga attacks. Aqua will be at an advantage for this encounter, as she will have access to Triple Firaga and Triple Blizzaga, making her able to score thrice as many points as Terra and Ventus during the Element Cluster's Fire or Blizzard phases. Be sure to stock up two Curaga commands as well; they might be necessary.

Also make sure Fire Screen, Blizzard Screen and Thunder Screen are leveled up sufficiently, in order to take as little elemental damage as possible.

As the reports state, the middle element calls the shots:

  • In its Fire phase, the Element Cluster will breathe out waves of fire that last about two seconds. These can be successfully avoided by staying far away from it.
  • In its Blizzard phase, the Element Cluster will shoot ice projectiles in three directions; forward left, forward right, and center. There is a rather short interval between these projectiles, and they can be hard to avoid.
  • In its Thunder phase, the Element Cluster conjures thunderbolts like its aesthetically similar counterpart, the Triple Wrecker, albeit with shorter intervals between said thunderbolts.

It is hard to get at the back of the Element Cluster, because it will almost always face the player character, or turn to face the player character. Avoid where possible, and while avoiding, cast spells. Otherwise, get into a Command Style and face the Element Cluster head-on! Another really effective strategy is to use shotlocks such as Flame Salvo, Absolute Zero and Thunderstorm.
