Oathkeeper & Oblivion KHD.png Thanks anyways, RTB, but I contacted KeybladeSpyMaster some time ago asking him to handle this because I had seen via his Gadget Lab how skilled he is with the advanced coding I wanted to utilize. That's not to say you don't have those skills, just that he was the one who was around for me to turn to at the precise moment I needed his help. What you see is basically the full extent of the theme; I might move some pages in my userspace around a bit, but that's basically it. Don't know what else there is to really "Organization-ify." I see you've chosen Vanitas as your character theme. He's one of my favorite KH villains; good choice!

It's not like someone can change his or her user name whenever he or she wishes. Technically, once is too many times. It gets very technical in terms of justifying these things.

You're a huge help on the wiki, and I'm sure glad you've returned from your time away. One thing that may be problematic is the image size. I can only upload GIFs that are less than 10 megabytes in size. It will be difficult to create good GIFs that include the combo and the finisher, are of good quality, and are under 10 MB. I would consider APNG files, but most internet browsers don't support them.

Is creating two gifs, one with the combo and one with the finisher, a viable option?

RE: Dark Impulse

If you accept the reasoning behind why we don't mention "Terra" and use "the user" instead, the question on which pronoun to use only applies to the context of the sentence. From this point, everything before is irrelevant. Now that we have that out of the way, we need to decide whether it is more appropriate to use "him" or "they". "Him" is the masculine singular pronoun however, studying only the sentence in question, we assume the "user" is gender neutral, making the use of a masculine pronoun inappropriate. "They" is certainly a plural pronoun so ordinarily it would be incorrect to use it when talking about a subject that is singular. However, by convention, the English language has adapted an alternative use of the pronoun "they", where it used to refer to a neutral, singular subject, making it appropriate for the case we have here.

Also, note that nothing here is personal. I use my reasoning and arguments for the sake of debate to get my view across. In the future, you can always discuss things that you believe is incorrect, then everyone can talk about it until we reach a consensus. TheFifteenthMember 18:57, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

I do not believe in going off of assumptions; I base my editing off of what I've learned in classes and from other sources. A note for the future, I have an anxiety disorder, so if I ever seem like my behavior is uncalled for or out-of-place, it is because I misinterpret something or my brain naturally overreacts to a stressful situation, such as someone's view being opposite to mine or someone "trying to sound superior to me by saying I'm wrong." - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 19:00, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
Scheize, this turned into an edit war after I wandered off. Um, I changed it back to Terra because that seems fine, but if we did want to go back to character-nonspecific, "they" is vastly preferable to "him/her" or any similar kludge."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:10, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
I won't oppose this if it's what everyone wants; I do not wish to edit war or cause problems. Maybe the old me would have, but not my new self. It is just my personal preference (due to what I was taught in English classes throughout my schooling) that "they" refers to a group of people, not one person. Even if it sounds terrible (I agree it seems wordy), "him or her" is what is grammatically correct. That is what this Wiki strives for. Grammatically correct, professional articles. As stated in the Manual of Style (not that it is set in stone...). - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 19:20, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
At the moment, the real debate seems to be whether we use the character's name or "the user". I go for the latter because it is used most consistently (at the moment, other captions are written with the "user" so if we change the format, we need to look through and change those). Does character change the appearance of attacks, like games do? If so, I would agree to using the character name but if not, I vote for the generic "user". TheFifteenthMember 20:00, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
If I may, I feel the character's name is the one that applies best. I feel that using "user" kinda assumes others can use it, which we do not know if that is even true. Using the character's name doesn't necessarily deny the potential of other characters from using that same attack/command/whatever, but rather describes what is seen in the game itself. That's my opinion, though. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 20:08, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Things we could use your help on:
  • Project: Music:
    • Days section needs to be completed - this part means going through the game and checking mainly the cutscenes. I got a few bits and pieces from YouTube videos but I think we stopped around Day 107.
    • Birth by Sleep section needs to be completed - From what I'm seeing, both Ven and Aqua's stories need to be completed.
    • KH HD 2.5 ReMIX - entire game
  • Here is literally a piece-by-piece list of what needs to be done for Project: Manga
  • Template:Music - Days and Re:CoM music articles have been created. Most of their articles just need more coverage in the composition section. Even if "music isn't your thing," you can still create the rough outlines of the articles. In the least, everything except the composition section. That alone would be a lot of help.
  • Moogle Shop:
    • BBS: Sell prices need to be checked. The sell prices are influenced by the level of the command (0-max) and whether it has an ability or not. I have yet to find if the category/type of ability influences the sell price. I don't believe it does.
    • Re:coded: Same thing as above, though I don't know what factors influence the sell prices.
  • Theater Mode: Certain parts still need summary sections written
  • Geppetto: Needs a story section for both COM and KH3D
  • Neumannz, KSM, Pea, FM/the others could use help on creating "coded" articles. I've supplied the links to both the FAQ and the video walkthrough above. The forum in which they're compiling their notes can be found here.

Even finding what images we can clear from the unused files page would be of help. Xion4ever 07:30, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Cool, projects for later today :D I'll take care of Gepetto, and then probably start Theater Mode. Maybe I'll help with the music articles, too. Love music. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 13:11, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

DDD Synth materials

To my understanding, the fluff text was included because we had included it in the ledes for earlier synth materials. Can you help me understand why you're removing it?

Also, [[Dream Eater|Spirit Dream Eaters]] should be Spirit [[Dream Eater]]s."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:47, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
I believe you were the one who was against us just restating what was said by the games, hence our ridiculously long captions for images? - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 01:20, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I was, but to my understanding consensus was against me as regards the KH3D synth items. I'm trying to get up to speed on what consensus is now.
As far as captions go -- I don't think they need to be long, just that if we absolutely must have them, they should say something that isn't patronizing or redundant to the article."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:14, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
This has nothing to do with captions. The point I was trying to make was simply this: at one point, I thought the game's description of an ability would make a good caption. You reverted the edit, saying not to just reuse what the game says. That is why we describe the visuals of an ability in the captions now (something that is quite hard to do, I might add). So because you told me that, I believed it was improper to simply restate what the game says in the article header for the respective Dream Pieces. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 14:23, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Right, that it was redundant to the article. Look, I agree with you here -- I really don't like that instead of something clean and professional, like "essence of fire", we're using a purpleprose spiel ripped straight from the game. However, what I'm saying is that as far as I'm aware, consensus was against me for the KH3D synth article descriptions, and was to use them as an analogue to the KH1/etc. synth descriptions.
As a possible compromise with consensus, and using our own common sense to interpret the synth descriptions, how about "Vibrant materials contain the essence of vibrancy, and are used to bring Spirit Dream Eaters to life."? Or would that still be too redundant?...hmm. Should we bring it up at the item wikiproject talk page, then?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 16:24, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Using the same term as what the Dream Piece is called is redundant, yes. I just think reusing game text is lazy. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 23:37, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Re:Music articles first sentence

Alright. I'm tired of the edit wars over something so trivial. The fact that we even have to discuss this is, quite frankly, stupid and does nothing but waste time. There are SO many other things we could all be doing to help this Wiki- see the big list of projects above? But instead we're both wasting time arguing over two or three words. I'm currently writing up a forum so we can settle this matter through the good 'ol adult fashion of forums. Whenever I'm done, by all means voice your opinion over there. Xion4ever 02:47, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

"their is incorrect"

It's not. I know it's not your preferred style, but it is emphatically not incorrect."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:33, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

In addition, the image is literally right under the first in a wide-enough screen. Maybe not on a mobile, but it's a very short page."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:33, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
You're sending me a link to a Wikipedia article to support your opinion? I'd prefer a more professional source. Could we just agree to disagree and use phrases that do not require the showing of possession ("the Keyblade" vs. "his/her/their Keyblade")? It's not just a matter of my preferred style. It's what EVERY SINGLE TEACHER AND PROFESSOR I have ever had during my time in school has taught me. Also, in regards to Magic Hour's captions, my point was they were in different sections. If the image was directly under another in the same section, then that would be an instance where comparing them would be okay. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 21:18, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Professors can be wrong on a lot of stuff - witness the heated arguments on whether to add two spaces or not after a period. Trufax. As far as the wiki is concerned, I don't think we should be fighting edits for grammar reasons unless it impedes legibility--if a syntax is clearly in the popular lexicon, regardless of whether it the stuffed shirts unanimously agree on it, it shouldn't be an issue to war over. Regardless, I'm fine with "the Keyblade".
For Magic Hour, the images are literally border-to-border. That they are technically in different sections is, well, a technicality--the way they would be read easily lends itself to comparison, which is the main point of having more than a lede image anyway."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:56, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
First off, if you saw my forum in which I request re-election to adminship, I'd just like to say that you are one of the people I'm apologizing to for any difficulties we have had in the past. I am truly sorry, Kryten, for everything. While I think it's kinda impossible for every single teacher and professor I've had to be wrong, what they have taught me is literally so ingrained in my head that that is the only reason why I am not okay with using "they" and "their." I read that, and alarms start going off in my head. I agree that the warring over grammar is senseless. I also personally do not find comparing the images, even when that technicality exists, to be necessary, since it is possible to simply describe how the ability looks; the reader understands that one version is different from another simply by looking at the image and does not need to be told so. Perhaps if the images were just in a gallery, then it would make more sense to say "In this game it does this, but in that game, it does that." Despite the technicality you mentioned, for the pure reason that technicality exists, the way my brain works, that is why I am not okay with comparing the images, no matter how close together they are on the page. Images are just article fluff anyways; when I read an article, I read the text first, then I look at the pictures/captions. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 02:10, 7 February 2015 (UTC)

Staff Powers

Do you really need them to edit? It isn't that serious. Is this the person I looked up too? Is KSM work on your TB's meaningless? RikutheBloody 17:43, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

I'm not willing to stay here and be attacked or insulted. Administrator powers are not necessary, but it is upsetting to me to have met the policy's requirements, and, just because of who I am, I am being denied them. See ShardofTruth's message on the forum. And Kryten's first. I don't want to leave the Wiki, but I have no choice. The people here make my life all the more stressful, even though I love editing here. But how can I possibly come back after I let my childish anger get the better of me like that on the forum? I cannot. I don't take criticism well. I accept that. But it is infuriating to me that people refuse to follow a policy that has been in place, apparently, since almost two Decembers ago and finalized on a recent Roundtable. The hypocritical nature of this Wiki's community and the superiority complexes of each of its administrators (are they trying to tell me they are perfect angels who have never misbehaved before?) have forced my hand. I've been hurt too many times by the people on this Wiki to be able to take it anymore. Based on the harsh, cruel words of what was stated on the forum, I think it is best for everyone that I leave this Wiki behind, regardless of your looking up to me or the wonderful talk bubbles KSM made. If everyone is against me, how can I even work here anymore? Would you want to stay here if you were in my position? - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 13:31, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
No one is hating. If you still edit here, or even just come to the IRC, I'm sure everyone will be alright. Don't just leave just because of something someone says. Besides, you are a help to this wiki alone, without admin powers, or socializing. Did you even take the time out to read Xion's post? Correct your errors by fixing what people criticize you about. RikutheBloody 13:36, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
Everyone is hating, and until they tell me that themselves, that they are not, I will believe they are. They need to apologize for sounding harsh and ask for changes in a polite, nicer way. If I were to come back, I would want my admin powers because I came back and met the policy's requirements; my main point on my last forum post was my rights were taken away because I was inactive, NOT because I misbehaved. Now, all of a sudden, people are trying to take everything wrong that I have ever done and use it against me. You cannot correct past mistakes because they have already happened. My issue with Xion's post and everyone's like it is they took months-old issues and then tried to use them against me to prevent the restoration of my "powers." I felt more betrayed by so-called "friends" such as you and Xion4ever than anything else, hence my anger and overreaction. Am I proud of how I acted? No. But the thing that they should settle on is "Ok, we'll give you the rights back, as per the policy. But if you misbehave and we receive complaints, as per Operation: Keychain, you're subject to having them taken away again." That would be fair, and I could work with that, monitoring behavior and anger levels as much as possible. Like I keep saying, I don't want to leave. I don't even want admin powers. I want respect. And I want everyone who does have admin powers to take a serious chill pill and come down from their pedestals of power on which they have placed themselves. Give someone admin rights, and they go from friendly everyday users to power-flaunting Wiki-dictators who only care what other staff members have to say. I want my opinion to count, and the fact that no one ever says "Yeah, he has a point" because they are too self-absorbed and because I do not have the status that someone like KrytenKoro does does not make me feel like wasting my time here anymore, no matter how much I enjoyed editing and "socializing" with other KH fans (but when has that ever happened, seriously?)... - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 14:19, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
You haven't tried to approach anyone. The fact that you are begging, makes everyone weary if you should have the power anyway. In some cases, I found what you were saying was making sense, but I never got a chance to say anything because you were ranting. Why don't you try to prove your worthy, and change like you said. Nobody hates you. I'm sure if you tried to talk if out with people, it would work out. However, I won't stop you from leaving. Just giving you a heads up. RikutheBloody 14:25, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
