Magic Pulse 4

Magic Pulse (マジックパルス Majikku Parusu?) is a series of techniques introduced in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. They are Finish commands that are exclusive to Aqua and allow the user to unleash spinning orbs may inflict status effects on enemies.

Mechanics[edit]

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep[edit]

Magic Pulse 1 is a Level 2 Finish Command that summons two orbs of magic that spiral upwards around the user and has a 25% chance of confusing enemies. Magic Pulse 2 is a Level 3 Finish Command that summons three orbs and has a 50% chance of confusing or freezing enemies. Magic Pulse 3 is a Level 4 Finish Command that summons four orbs and has a 75% chance of confusing, freezing, or blinding enemies. Magic Pulse 4 is a Level 5 Finish Command that summons two orbs that stun enemies, and has two additional attacks that can be added by tapping X when prompted, first one unleashing a burst of wind and the second one summons a rainbow of orbs in a wider range.

Kingdom Hearts Union χ[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts Union χ, Magic Pulse is a special attack that target a single enemy. It costs 3 special attack gauges to perform. It deals exceptionally powerful hits, and lowers the target's Magic-based defense by 1 tier for 1 turn.

Magic Pulse +6 also raises Player's Upright-based strength by 3 tiers for 1 turn.

Magic Pulse II (マジックパルス2 Majikku Parusu 2?, lit. "Magic Pulse 2") is a special attack that targets all enemies. It costs 3 special attack gauges to perform. It increases Player's Special Attack Bonus by 30% for 1 turn. It inflicts more damage with 1 enemy left (including raid boss parts).

Magic Pulse II +6 also raises Player's Upright-based strength by 3 tiers for 1 turn.

Kingdom Hearts III[edit]

Magic Pulse is Aqua's combo finisher for both ground and aerial combos. It deals physical damage, and the final hit has a 50% chance of stunning the enemy for 10 seconds.

Learning Magic Pulse[edit]

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep[edit]

  • Aqua learns Magic Pulse 1 after earning 2000 CP while Finish is the equipped Finish command.
  • Aqua learns Magic Pulse 2 after earning 3800 CP while Magic Pulse 1 is the equipped Finish command.
  • Aqua learns Magic Pulse 3 after defeating 350 enemies while Magic Pulse 2 is the equipped Finish command.
  • Aqua learns Magic Pulse 4 after defeating 500 enemies while Magic Pulse 3 is the equipped Finish command.

  • Aqua has Magic Pulse as a default ability.

Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-[edit]

Aqua uses an unnamed move similar to Magic Pulse as her combo finisher both grounded and in the air. The orbs are not imbued with status altering magic.
