Warp is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. It allows the user to cause enemies to vanish from the field.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Warp is a Magic Sleight that can be used by Sora. It has a high chance of causing all enemies to vanish from the battlefield; enemies defeated in this manner do not grant any experience.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Warp is an Advanced magic command that can be used exclusively by Terra. It causes a number of enemies to vanish from the field, dropping prizes but rewarding no experience. It takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 5, has a normal reload time of 15 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 30%.

Origin

Warp is a recurring spell in the Final Fantasy series. Warp has often been translated to names such as Banish, Dezone, X-Zone, Degen, or Return; it usually changes its name depending on its use, whether it be supportive or offensive.
In supportive contexts, Warp/Return/Degen will usually transport the player through either one level of a dungeon forward or back.
In offensive contexts, Warp/Banish/X-Zone usually transports enemies away using spacial displacement magic, usually ending combat. If not using spacial displacement magic, it will simply inflict Instant Death.

Because of its name Banish, Warp is often confused with Banish, the low-level light magic of the Final Fantasy series, which are the light equivalent of Fire, Thunder, Blizzard, etc.
