Vile Phial

Template:Enemy The Vile Phial is an Unversed that is found in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

Design

A Vile Phial is a small creature that resembles an hour glass-shaped vial. Its base is round and has two short "arms" on either side of it. The neck of the bottle is comparatively thin and it is capped off by a lid with a large, violet gemstone for a handle. The Vile Phial is predominantly violet with silver highlights. Its eyes are red and set in a happy expression.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, the Vile Phial receives a palette swap which gives it a dark-green body and an orange gemstone handle.

Battle

Attacks

• Cure: The Vile Phial heals itself or other Unversed.
• Poison Dash: The Vile Phial darts towards its target and poisons him or her.
• Poison Spray: The Vile Phial sprays poison at its target, inflicting him or her with the Poison status.

Strategy

The Vile Phial fights in a similar fashion to the Green Requiem or Crescendo Heartless; it heals itself and other Unversed during battle. The Vile Phial inflicts its target with the Poison status by colliding with him or her; the best way to defeat this Unversed is to guard against its attacks and strike it while it is stunned. If Terra, Ventus, or Aqua is able to confuse the Vile Phial, it will heal them instead of its allies.
