Design
The Dream Eater's name uses the Japanese words for "poison" (毒 doku) and "salamander" (椒魚 sansho). "Dokudoku" (どくどく) also means "gushing". Its English name is a portmanteau of "toxic" and "salamander".

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
- Sora can obtain the recipe for Toximander from a chest in La Cité des Cloches.
