Hunchback of Notre Dame!![edit]

I know that Nomura said this trailer was intended to only give a general feel for the game, I hope the Hunchback of Notre Dame world makes the cut! That would be excellent.

Xemnas KHD.png
Infinity KHD.png Watched the trailer and, all in all, IT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME. 1) Epic remix of Destati. Gotta love new [versions of] music. 2) New worlds, with Notre Dame being the one we've all wanted for a while. While at first glance I thought they were doing a big recycling of plot points again, it seems I was mistaken. 3) XEMNAS AND ANSEM ARE BACK. Or so it would seem. That was one of my favorite scenes in the trailer. It was going to happen sooner or later.

Only downsides are the kinda stupid-sounding title and the fact that I don't have any intention of getting a 3DS. [sigh] I guess that's what let's plays and this wiki are for.

LapisScarab Xemnas (card).png Good tidings, friends. Today is a momentous day. I am pleased to announce that a new comrade has been chosen to wear the coat. — 22:25, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

The Notre Dame world does look awesome, but as I have established on another forum, I won't be 100% satisfied unless there is an awesome boss fight with Frollo.--Bananaphone1996 01:09, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

That'd be great, Bannanaphone1996 (great name, btw), but, well...I wrote a fanfic in the style of a KH game. I wanted my character to kick that monster's twisted tush, so I made him (with his original Keyblade, no less). It...proved to be less than satisfactory.
...
Though, now that I really think about it, he could've gained power through the darkness, since he was using the Heartless as soldiers before...Okay, I'm with you--awesome boss fight against Frollo! FT 17:31, 17 March 2011 (EDT)

The "general feel" thing that Nomura said was for the original trailer, not this one. This one showed some definitive gameplay, they're not making any major changes at this point.

Notre Dame world looks nice, and I like that wall-jumping thing that Riku does. Keeping fingers crossed for Pixar worlds.

Yeah, I was surprised with the Hunchback of Notre Dame world in the trailer too. For some reason, lately that's become one of my favorite Disney movies. I wonder how the story's gonna go, though? Perhaps Quasimodo as a party member? A big boss battle against Frollo? *shrugs shoulders*

I doubt this is ENTIRELY a memories-type thing. Remember, it's been stated many times that the Disney world list is all-new. You can't have memories of somewhere you've never been, right? Not saying that it couldn't have some memory-type stuff, of course. (And, personally, I'm not exactly going to take the second trailer for its full worth storywise...yet.)FT 17:31, 17 March 2011 (EDT)

Souleater??[edit]

Based on what I've witnessed with the trailer, Riku is wielding the Soul Eater. how is that possible?! if this game is for Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery exams, them why is Riku wielding the Soul Eater instead of Way to the Dawn????

Why? The entire point of this forum is to hold discussions like this.LapisLazuliScarab01:27, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

Hey, if Sora & Riku have their old outfits, why not their old weapons, too?

TIME TRAVEL. THAT IS ALL. :P KKDhttp://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad99/Xion4ever/f51ce887-d120-4b89-8cff-afbff03976aa_zps7f114bcc.png03:06, January 20, 2011 (UTC)

Had Enough[edit]

I have officially had enough of Sora and Riku's KH1 models being reused in like every game they've released since KH2. They milked those models for way too long. I want to the the older Sora and Riku slay heartless and nobodies from now on.--(A Fan of Justice)Let's chat 00:27, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

Apparently there is some reason for them being in their KH1 outfits. Additionally at the start of the trailer, they are both in their KH2 outfits. I'm thinking the KH1 part has something to do with the Mark of Mastery; they actually look like their younger selves, so it seems like a test of some kind. Hard to say. Soxxeh 5:38am, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

While I certainly prefer their KHII designs as well, I don't think we know quite enough about the game's story to call it just yet. Like Soxra said, they're in their KHII outfits at the start of the trailer. I don't mind them using older outfits for the same characters, that's harder to "milk" than recycling whole worlds, plot points, and designs for different characters [cough] Vanitas [cough].LapisLazuliScarab05:41, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

I do agree with Ajustice on one part though; the KHII outfits (particularly Sora's) are just so much more majestic and epic than the KHI outfits. It's a shame to see Nomura using them when he can obviously do so much better. Soxxeh 5:45am, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

As many others have said, Sora & Riku WILL have their Kingdom Hearts II outfits at the beggining of the game (and you'll probably get to play as them wearing that in the tutorial or something), but once they take the Mark of Mastery exam, they'll be given back their original clothing. Why? I don't know. I don't care either, as long as the game's awesome.

New Emblems?[edit]

TALK - Okay, why not? I'll go with you guys." - 21:00
Okay, I would like to spend hours talking about how awsome this is but I am going to start my New Years resolution and keep it short and to the point. On the official Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance site, the backdrop for the moment seems to consist of familiar KH symbols and emblems, just like previous compilation titles. EXCEPT for TWO EMBLEMS in particular that stood out to me, and they are completly NEW and never before seen. They kinda look like a cross between the Heartless and Unversed emblems (maybe the Nobody emblem to some degree) and although they both look similar to each other, one is more smooth and gentle like the KH logo, and the other is more pointy and jagedy like the enemy emblems. Could they describe new enemies, the return of Ansem and Xemnas, or somone or something else? (Well, this is "shorter")

You're referring to the far left and right images in this picture?

24o0eup.jpg

Well, they both look like odd crosses of Heartless and Unversed using different parts of the respective emblems. The question then becomes, is it a coincidence, Nomura just recycling old styles for new logos, or some kind of significance toward Xehanort and co.?

I'm expecting a new enemy since every main game so far has a new enemy. "My friends are my power!" 06:53, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

A combination of Heartless/Nobody-like enemy? A Heartbody? A Noheart? I dunno. Wait... Noheart?! Anybody notice that?!

Well, both Ansem and Xemnas were shown in the trailer, which means they're probably working together. I dunno, I guess they joined their evil armies together. Mar 23:40, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

IF YOU HAVE SEEN THE TRAILER OR THE SCANS PLEASE KEEP IN MIND[edit]

"Nomura has said in an interview that these scenes are not from the actual game, but rather, "The trailer merely portrayed the overall feeling of the game."

Come on people, it's on the article for goodness sake. The trailer is so beta that none of it will probably make it into the game. I'm not saying that the world that appears to be based on Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame will be cut or that Sora and Riku's new parkour abilities were just for the trailer, I'm just saying that we shouldn't get all confused over their appearances or why a million Sora's rain from the sky etc.

For all we know Sora and Riku may appear as they did from KH2 and onward. Maybe they have new costumes that SE didn't want to reveal yet. Who knows, but the trailer holds no answers.--ΧƳƵach. 06:33, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

There's magazine scans backing up the Notre Dame world, but otherwise I'd agree. But still, that's what a forum is for; jumping to comclusions and speculating.LapisLazuliScarab06:39, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

Plus the trailer at that event wasn't the same one from E3. maggosh 06:45, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

The trailers have a few differences, but are almost identical. The E3 trailer had more footage of Sora on Destiny Islands and Sora preparing to fight Twilight Thorn in Traverse Town 2nd District and the new trailer feature Ansem Seeker of Darkness and Xemnas instead.:--ΧƳƵach. 07:00, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

and the new one has gameplay footage, so what Nomura said might only apply for the first trailer. The17Gull Wing Keychain KHII.pngMaster 07:06, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

S070184[edit]

Warning: Large Amount of Content

I think the story will be like that....

Sora: Everything seems quiet….

Clopin goes cartwheeling past them and disappears into the crowd, all of whom are facing a stage on which Esmeralda is dancing

Donald: You call this quiet?

Goofy: Gawrsh, it looks like a big party!

Clopin: now on a stage Come on, come all, to the Festival of Fools! Including the crowning of the ugliest face in Paris as the King of Fools!

a hooded, hunched over figure passes between Sora and Donald. It's Quasmodo, hiding from the world while on escaped from the belltower on his "one day out there"

Quasimodo: Excuse me….

Clopin: Ah, a challenger! Come to the stage, dear friend!

Esmeralda takes his arm and leads him to the stage, where Clopin attempts to remove his mask…. everyone gasps, and Frollo, in a tent off to the side with Phoebus standing next to him, stands up, furious

Donald: That's not a mask!

Goofy: It's his face!

the crowd goes into a general panic

Clopin: Ladies and gentlemen, don't panic! We asked for the ugliest face in Paris, and here he is! Quasimodo, the hunchback of Notre Dame!

the crowd cheers until someone throws a piece of rotten fruit at Quasi, then another, then another, until there's flying fruit all around him. Quasimodo is tied down to the stage by ropes thrown from the crowd

Sora: Let's go help him out!

they run forward onto the stage (or whichever way you want, because you can explore the square at this point), but Esmeralda gets there first, which sends the crowd into a shocked silence and causes Donald to do that "wak?" thing

Esmeralda: Don't be afraid. I'm sorry. This wasn't supposed to happen.

Frollo: You, gypsy girl! Get down at once!

Esmeralda: In a moment, your honor, just as soon as I free this poor creature.

Frollo: I forbid it!

Sora cuts the ropes with his Keyblade

Frollo: How dare you defy me?

Esmeralda: You mistreat this poor boy the same way you mistreat my people.

Sora: Yeah! He didn't do anything, but you're just sitting there and letting him be tortured!

Esmeralda: You speak of justice, yet you are cruel to those most in need of your help.

Frollo: stands up angrily Silence!

Esmeralda: Justice!

Frollo: Mark my words, you will all pay for this insolence.

Esmeralda: Then it appears we've crowned the wrong fool. The only fool I see is you!

Frollo: Arrest them!

a few of Frollo's guards step forwards, but SDG are quicker. They step in front of Esmeralda and Quasimodo with their weapons at the ready. The result is a battle against seven or eight guards, with Esmeralda fighting alongside you like Axel did during his last fight— not part of your party, but still helping to kick some butt. Finally, Quasi escapes inside Notre Dame, followed by Esmeralda and SDG

Sora: I think we're safe in here.

Esmeralda: Thank you for your help.

Sora: No problem. My name's—

he is cut off by the appearance of Phoebus

Esmeralda: You!

the dream team (SDG) fights Phoebus, who backs down before half of his HP is depleted

Phoebus: All right, all right, calm down. Just give me a chance to apologize.

Donald: For what?

Phoebus: uses his sword to knock Sora's Keyblade out of his hands That, for example. Esmeralda lands a flying kick at his head, and he shakes it off Eh, permit me. I'm Phoebus.

Esmeralda: Is this an interrogation?

Phoebus: It's called an introduction.

Goofy: You're not arresting us?

Phoebus: Not as long as you're in here. I can't.

Esmeralda: Well, if you're not arresting us, then what do you want?

Phoebus: I'd settle for your names.

Sora: … I'm Sora.

Donald: Donald Duck.

Goofy: Name's Goofy.

Phoebus: And you are…?

Esmeralda: Esmeralda.

Phoebus: It's beautiful.

the cathedral doors slam open once more. Frollo enters dramatically

Frollo: Good work, Phoebus! Arrest her!

SDG and Esmeralda glare at Phoebus

Phoebus: Claim sanctuary. Say it!

Donald: You tricked us!

Frollo: I'm waiting, Captain!

Phoebus: I'm sorry, sir, they've claimed sanctuary. There's nothing I can do.

Frollo: Then drag them outside and—

Sora: We're in a church! You can't touch us in here!

Frollo's guards and Phoebus leave, but he hides behind a pillar

Goofy: Gawrsh, does this mean we're stuck here?

before anyone can answer, Frollo jumps out and twists Esmeralda's arm behind her

Frollo: addressing the whole group You think you've outwitted me, but I am a patient man. now only talking to Esmeralda And gypsies don't do well inside stone walls. the infamous hair smell of doom

Sora: What are you doing?

Frollo: I was merely imagining a rope around her beautiful neck. caresses said beautiful neck

Esmeralda: I know what you were imagining.

Frollo: smirks and releases her Such a clever witch. So typical of your kind, to twist the truth to cloud the mind with unholy thoughts. Well, no matter. once again addressing the whole group You've chosen a magnificent prison, but it is a prison nonetheless. Set one foot outside, and you're mine! the doors slam, and Esmeralda wrenches one open

Guard's Voice: Frollo's orders. Post a guard at every door.

Sora: If Frollo thinks he can keep us in here, he's wrong!

Goofy: Careful, Sora, we made him purdy mad at that party. I don't think we should make things any worse.

Esmeralda: You saw what he did out there, letting the crowd torture that poor boy. I thought if just one person could stand up to him, then… What do they have against people who are different, anyway?

Goofy: We can't make everything better all by ourselves.

Esmeralda hangs her head sadly as she realizes he's right. Sora notices Quasimodo hovering in a doorway

Sora: Hey! Quasi runs Wait a minute, we want to talk to you! the group chases Quasimodo up a seemingly endless flight of stairs until they find themselves in the belltower. This also gives you a chance to explore the cathedral and collect chests and stuff

Esmeralda: I'm really sorry about this afternoon. I had no idea who you were. I would never in my life had… pulled… you… up on the… stage.

everyone freezes, in awe of Quasi's glass shard mobile and wooden figures

Sora: Woah!

Goofy: Gawrsh, what is this place?

Quasimodo: This is where I live.

Donald: Did you make all this?

Quasimodo: Most of it.

Esmeralda: You're a surprising person, Quasimodo. Not to mention lucky. All this room to yourself….

Quasimodo: Well, it's not just me. There's the gargoyles and of course, the bells… would you like to meet them?

Sora: Yeah!

Everyone runs up more stairs (or explores the belltower… am I doing this too much?) to see the bells, but something's wrong…

SDG: Heartless!

Quasimodo: Oh, no, they'll break the bells!

Here, Esmeralda drops off the face of the earth, you can let Quasi join your party, and you engage in a Heartless battle in which you have to keep the bells from taking too much damage. Afterwards, Esmeralda reappears and Quasi darts around, checking each one

Quasimodo: Good, they're all safe. Thanks for your help.

Sora: No problem.

Quasimodo: You have to get out of here.

Donald: But how?

Goofy: There's guards at every door!

Quasimodo: We won't use a door.

A screen comes up telling you how to slide down the roof tiles while avoiding balconies and gargoyles, which can take some of your HP if you hit them. Once you're back down in the square from before…

Quasimodo: I hope I didn't scare you.

Goofy: Not at all

Donald: moans

Quasimodo: turns to Esmeralda I'll never forget you, Esmeralda.

Esmeralda: Come with me!

Quasimodo: What?

Esmeralda: All of you, to the Court of Miracles, leave this place!

Quasimodo: Oh, no. I'm never going back out there again.

Donald: Why not?

Quasimodo: You saw what happened to me today. No. This is where belong.

Esmeralda: Then I'll come see you!

Quasimodo: But the guards, and Frollo….

Esmeralda: I'll come after sunset!

Quasimodo: But at sunset, I ring the evening mass, and after that, I clean the kloisters, and then I ring the vespers, and— Esmeralda kisses his cheek Whatever's good for you. Esmeralda: If you ever need sanctuary, this will show you the way. When you wear this woven band, you hold the city in your hand.

The screen goes black, you and Quasi aquire accessory "Gypsy Talisman", which increases luck, strength, and comes in handy later in the level, and we cut to a scene with Frollo in his chambers, where he is dramatically intoning to his fireplace. Yes, this is my crappy replacement for his awesome song.

Frollo: Esmeralda, that evil witch whose spell has taken a firm hold on my soul, will surely send me to the devil! All my holy ways are becoming useless. Hear me, Esmeralda, you will be mine or you will BURN! he falls to the ground, then clutches at his heart until he and the cutscene are obscured by darkness. Yes, he is now a Heartless. Sorry, Frollophiles

We cut back to the city (which is already burning) in the morning, where Sora sees Frollo (now sporting a Heartless insignia on the front of his robe), Phoebus, and a few big Heartless surrounding an innocent looking house

Frollo: hands Phoebus a torch Burn it.

Phoebus: With all due respect, sir, I was not trained to murder the innocent.

Frollo: But you were trained to follow orders. Phoebus dumps the torch into a bucket of water. Undetered, Frollo snaps his fingers, and his Heartless minions exhale a volley of flaming arrows. Phoebus dives into the window and carries out the family living in the house. The sentence for insubordination is death. Such a pity, you threw away such a promising career.

Sora: Don't you dare! Frollo looks up Captain Phoebus is our friend! And we're not gonna let him die!

Everybody runs towards Notre Dame, despite the constant stream of Heartless and their flaming arrow breath, which you can fight or leave (but, obviously, it's a better idea to fight them). Finally, an arrow hits Phoebus in the shoulder, sending him tumbling into the Seine. Esmeralda is hiding on the riverbank, and she dives in to save him

Sora: Here, we'll help you bring him to safety.

Goofy: How 'bout we take him to the belltower? Quasimodo could take care o' him.

Esmeralda: Good idea, my friends. Lead the way.

they set off, whispering to each other

Sora: Frollo had a bunch of Heartless on his side. You don't think….

Goofy: Gawrsh, could be!

Donald: We'd better get Phoebus back, fast!

You head back to Notre Dame, fighting off Heartless that appear just to be annoying, just like the other worlds we've played before

Esmeralda: Quasi?

Sora: Quasimodo?

Quasimodo: Sora! Donald! Goofy! Esmeralda, I knew you'd come back!

Esmeralda: You've done so much for me already, my friend, but I must ask for your help one more time.

Quasimodo: Yes, anything!

Esmeralda: This is Phoebus. He's wounded, and a fugitive like me. Please, will you hide him?

Sora: He can't hold on much longer.

Quasimodo: This way.

Sora lays Phoebus down on Quasi's bed, and stands over in a corner with Donald, Goofy, and Quasi.

Phoebus: comes to Esmeralda?

Esmeralda: Sshh… you'll lie here until you're strong enough to move. stitching up Phoebus's wound That family owes you their lives. You're either the single bravest soldier I've ever met or the craziest.

Phoebus: Ex-soldier, remember?

Esmeralda: You're lucky. That arrow almost pierced your heart.

Phoebus: I'm not so sure it didn't. they kiss, and we get a brief closeup of Quasi in tears before we hear footsteps coming up the belltower stairs

Donald: Quaack! Frollo's coming!

Quasimodo: Quick, you must go! Go down the south tower steps!

Esmeralda: Promise you won't let anything happen to him.

Quasimodo: I promise. Now, go! You, too! Go!

You start to leave, but as soon as you're out the door to the south tower steps, Sora stops to listen to the conversation

Frollo: YOU HELPED HER ESCAPE! And now, all Paris is burning because of you!

Quasimodo: mumbling, terrified She was kind to me!

Frollo: YOU IDIOT, THAT WASN'T KINDNESS, IT WAS CUNNING! GYPSIES ARE NOT CAPABLE OF REAL LOVE! composes himself But what chance could a poor, misshapen child like you have against her heathen treachery? Well, never you mind, Quasimodo. She will be out of our lives soon enough. I will free you from her evil spell. She will torment you no longer.

Quasimodo: What do you mean?

Frollo: I know where her hideout is, and tomorrow at dawn, I attack with an army of a thousand. when he leaves, SDG go back into the belltower, and Phoebus emerges from under the table

Sora: We have to find the Court of Miracles as fast as possible.

Phoebus: nods in agreement If Frollo gets there first… are you coming?

Quasimodo: I can't.

Donald: I thought you were Esmeralda's friend!

Quasimodo: I can't disobey Frollo again.

Phoebus: She stood up for you! You've got a funny way of showing gratitude!

Sora: Well, we're not gonna stand by and watch Frollo kill a whole bunch of innocent people. You do what you think is right.

You start to leave, but once you're out of the cathedral, Quasimodo appears behind you

Quasimodo: I'm coming with you.

Goofy: A-yuck, you changed your mind!

Phoebus: That's good to hear.

Quasimodo: glares at Phoebus I'm not doing it for you, I'm doing it for her.

Donald: But how do we find the Court?

Sora: "When you wear this woven band, you hold the city in your hand…."

Obtain item "Map to the Court of Miracles." See, I told you the Gypsy Talisman would come in handy! You also get the option to have Quasi rejoin your party. You follow the map that appears on the corner of the screen to an archway that was previously gated off, which leads you to a graveyard. You examine the largest crypt, which opens to reveal a big staircase

Sora: This must be it.

You walk down the stairs and find yourself in a big cavern that looks like a cross between a sewer and a mausoleum

Donald: Is this the Court of Miracles?

Phoebus: Offhand, I'd say it's the Court of Ankle-Deep Sewage. Must be the old catacombs.

Sora: Cheerful place. laughs nervously Kinda makes you wish you got out more often, eh, Quasi?

Quasimodo: Not me. I just want to warn Esmeralda and get back to the belltower before I get into any more trouble.

Phoebus: Speaking of trouble, we should have run into some by now.

Goofy: Whaddaya mean?

Phoebus: You know, a guard, a trap… everything turns black … or an ambush.

Clopin: Well, well, well, what have we here? Trespassers? No! Spies!

Sora: We're not spies!

Clopin: Don't interrupt me! the fab five are bound and gagged by gypsies You're very clever to have found our hideaway. Unfortunately, you won't live to tell the tale. as gypsies drag them to a big platform in the middle of the Court Do you know what we do to spies and intruders? the group mumbles Well, you'll soon find out! loudly, so all the gypsies hear them Gather round, everybody, there's good noose tonight! A group of Frollo's spies! Any last words? the group mumbles again That's what they all say. he starts to pull the lever that will drop the floor out and hang our heroes

Esmeralda: Stop!

SDG, Phoebus, and Quasi: through their gags Esmeralda!

Esmeralda: These men aren't spies, they're our friends!

Clopin: Well, why didn't they say so?

SDG, Phoebus, and Quasi: We did say so!

Esmeralda: This is the soldier who saved the miller's family, and the rest of them helped me escape the cathedral!

Sora: We came to warn you! Frollo's coming! He's attacking at dawn with a huge army!

the gypsies panic

Esmeralda: You took a terrible risk coming here. It may not exactly show, but we're grateful. she hugs Phoebus, and Quasi looks dejected, and Sora indignant

Phoebus: Don't thank me, thank Quasimodo and Sora. Without them, I'd never have found my way here.

Frollo: Nor would I! After twenty years of searching, the Court of Miracles is mine at last! he grins hideously, and for the first time, we can see the faint red glow in his eyes brought on by his becoming a Heartless

the screen turns black until we find SDG and Phoebus locked in a cage, horrorstruck as they see Esmeralda tied to a stake, with Frollo standing next to her, reading off a scroll with a torch in his hand. Heartless surround the whole scene, and Quasi is chained above.

Frollo: intoning dramatically The prisoner Esmeralda has been found guilty of the crime of witchcraft. The sentence: death!

Sora: No!

Frollo: quieter, so only Esmeralda, Sora, and you can hear The time has come, gypsy. You stand upon the brink of the abyss. Yet even now, it is not too late. I can save you from the flames of this world, and the next. Choose me, or the fire.

SDG exchange disgusted looks, and Esmeralda spits in Frollo's face

Frollo: intoning again The gypsy Esmeralda has refused to recant! This evil witch has put the soul of every citizen in Paris in awful jeopardy!

Sora: We've gotta save her! Sora bashes at the cage, until a bar that shows how close Quasi is to breaking his chains fills

Frollo: ...for justice, for Paris, and for her own salvation! It is my shameful duty to send this poor girl back where she belongs! he sets the torch down, and Quasi swings down to grab Esmeralda, just in time. SDG cheer.

Quasimodo: lifts Esmeralda over his head SANCTUARY! SANCTUARY! SANCTUARY!

Frollo: to his Heartless army Seize the cathedral!

Sora summons his Keyblade and unlocks the cage SDG and Phoebus are in. Quasi rejoins the pary if you so desire, and he helps SDG fight their way through the hoardes of Heartless that block the way from the cage to the belltower (think Disney Castle, without a character acting as Minnie), with the assistance of Phoebus, who is not part of the party. Finally, you make it to the belltower, where Quasi's crying over the apparently dead Esmeralda. Goofy touches Quasi's hump soothingly, and Frollo enters after a while

Quasimodo: You killed her.

Frollo: It was my duty, horrible as it was. I hope you can forgive me. he touches Quasi's hump, too There, there, Quasimodo, I know it hurts. But now it's time to end your suffering… forever!

This triggers a two on one fight— Quasi and Sora vs. Frollo with his dagger. There's only one green HP bar, though, and before long, you have Frollo against the wall at Keyblade-point, and Quasi has Frollo's dagger

Frollo: Now, listen to me, Quasimodo…

Quasimodo: No, you listen! All my life, you've taught me that the world is a dark, cruel place, but now I see that the only thing dark or cruel about it is people like you!

Esmeralda: weakly Quasimodo?

Quasimodo: Esmeralda!

Sora: Yes!

Goofy: A-yuck, she's all right!

Frollo: She lives! he grabs a sword and starts towards Esmeralda and Quasimodo, but Sora, Donald, and Goofy block his way, weapons at the ready. Quasi runs outside on the balcony, and Frollo follows him, laughing wickedly. SDG bring up the rear. Yep, it's time for the final boss battle for this world! You fight Frollo, his sword, and his newly realized Heartless powers— the abilities to set SDG/Quasi on fire, teleport out of the way of combos (because we all know how much fun this trick is to deal with in boss battles coughXigbarcough), multiply his sword and throw it, etc. As soon as the fight ends, Sora swings his Keyblade, knocking Frollo onto a gargoyle. Frollo catches it with his cape and swings back up, standing on top of it and raising his sword high, a truly evil look on his face

Frollo: And He shall smite the wicked and plunge them into the fiery pit!

the gargoyle, however, can't hold his weight, and cracks… plunging Frollo into the fiery pit. Isn't irony great? Anyway, the sky immediately lightens, the fires go out, and everyone runs down to Notre Dame's lowest balcony. Phoebus is waiting there, and he and Quasi hug, Quasi puts his and Esmeralda's hands together. They kiss, and Goofy makes an observation

Goofy: Hey, Quasimodo, Frollo's gone, so doesn't that mean ya don't hafta stay cooped up in here anymore?

Quasimodo: I… I guess it does….

Sora: Then let's go!

Your party runs downstairs, back out into the square, where a huge crowd is gathered. Quasimodo stops as a little girl steps forward apprehensively. She eventually pets his face, they hug, and Quasi puts her on his shoulder. Cut to Clopin, who is hanging on a pole

Clopin: Three cheers for Quasimodo! And Sora, Donald, and Goofy, too!

the crowd cheers, and Sora notices a light shining in the Rose Window (the really big, round stained glass window in whose light Esmeralda stands at the end of God Help The Outcasts in the movie). It's the Keyhole! So, Sora seals it, and Notre Dame is forever sealed from the Heartless

Sora: I think it's time for us to be moving on.

Quasimodo: Will you be coming back?

Donald: Of course!

Phoebus: You're always welcome here in Paris.

You step towards the save point that will take you out of this world, but before you can go….

Clopin: Wait! We gypsies must give you something to show you our gratitude for ridding us of Frollo… Here, take this! It's the least we can do! You obtain accessory "King of Fools," which is actually a new Keyblade! Now you're free to exit the world, and move on to whatever's next. THE END!

Hey everyone. Now I'm sure you have all seen the new (or only ) publicly relaesed trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream, Drop, Distance. Seems pretty cool right, but as always, no early KH trailer is without its mysteries and therfore its speculation among fans. With that topic I would like to point out something. Has anyone ever noticed that when Riku/Sora fights Ansem/Xemnas that whoever he is fighting the other is a ghost behind his back? Seriously. I didn't notice it when the trailer leaked all those days ago (probably because I was still in shock of Sora jumping off of a building and deaf from all of the fan-girls out there screaming their heads off from seeing all of those Soras) but now having seen the officialy released HD version, I've noticed that there might be more going on behind Xehanort's back, litteraly. Let me clairify. When Riku first appears, so does Ansem, but if you look closely, Xemnas is transparent and hiding behind him (I noticed this when I saw Xemnas's spiky hair behind Ansems silky flat hair). Then, when Sora comes out at possibly the same time(?), Xemnas is there, but like before, Ansem is hiding behind Xemnas's back, transpairently (again, the transparent hair is a dead giveaway).I'm not exactly sure what to make of this but maybe this has to do with Nomura's "Time-Limit" sequence between Sora and Riku, maybe if you're switching back and forth between Riku and Sora during the whole fight, maybe Ansem and Xemnas are doing the same. Your thoughts (and sorry about the Wall-o-Text, this isn't looking good for my New-Year's ressolution)?

25px-Triforce_%28Ocarina_of_Time%29.png Holy cripes. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. (This is going kinda off topic) There was an episode of The Big Bang Theory where Sheldon gets mad at Leonard and Penny and pretends he's in a parallel dimension that occupies the same space, but he can't do anything to affect the other dimension. Maybe it's something like that...?

I actually think Xehanort is going through the Xion Prinze Supple. Allow me to explain; Xion's appearance would shift depending on the memories she contained and whoever saw her. She wielded Ventus's Keyblade, so she took on Ventus's appearance at one point; she had Sora's memory of Kairi, so she took on her appearance, made from Sora's memory so she took on his, and the list goes on. Xehanort being ressurected, he undoubtedly would have the memories of both Ansem and Xemnas. So Riku, having been possessed by Ansem and his darkness for a year, would see Xehanort as Ansem, and Sora, his Nobody and Replica having memories of their Superior, and himself having defeated him, would most likely see him as Xemnas. Of course, this would imply to some degree that Xehanort was a Replica to begin with - and that knowledge could have been passed on to Vexen all those years later, but I digress - and that's because I didn't exactly think that part through until I started typing this out here and my theory could be terribly flawed. But hey, Riku and Sora are in their Kingdom Hearts outfits, so anything's possible.

Long story short; Riku and Sora are "seeing" Xehanort as Ansem or Xemnas because of the latter's memories.

Axel went somewhere. He went to sleep.

That would also explain how this game connects to Days, which Nomura has stated it does.
