Mechanics[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Break Time is an Advanced attack command that allows the user to refill the HP and Focus Gauges by pressing X when prompted. It takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 4, and a normal reload time of 20 seconds. Getting a "Good" rating on a button press recovers a normal amount of the HP and Focus Points, while an "Excellent" rating earns double, and a "Too Slow" or "Too Fast" earns half. The Item Boost ability increases the effect when equipped. The user may be interrupted by enemies during the command. When using Break Time, Terra performs handstand push-ups, Ventus break dances, and Aqua twirls her Keyblade like a baton.
