Counter Blast (バリアクラッカー Baria Kurakkā?, lit. "Barrier Cracker") is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-, and Kingdom Hearts III. It allows the user to counterattack after a block by shattering their Barrier to send its panels flying into surrounding enemies.

Mechanics[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Counter Blast is a Reprisal command exclusive to Aqua that must be installed under a Barrier-type command. It is activated by pressing X (Circle in the Japanese versions) after blocking. It has a maximum level of 4 and fills the Command Gauge by 40%.

In Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-, Counter Blast is a default ability that appears upon blocking.

In Kingdom Hearts III, Counter Blast is an action ability. It is activated by pressing X after a successful block.
