Ventus using Break Time

Break Time (ブレイクタイム Bureiku Taimu?) is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. It allows the user to rejuvenate themselves or their allies by taking a break.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Break Time is an Advanced attack command that allows the user to recover HP and fill the Focus Gauge by pressing X when prompted. It takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 4, and a normal reload time of 20 seconds. Getting a "Good" rating on a button press recovers a normal amount of the HP and Focus gauges, while an "Excellent" rating earns double, and a "Too Slow" or "Too Fast" earns half. The user may be interrupted by enemies during their "break" action—handstand push-ups for Terra, break dancing for Ventus, and twirling the Keyblade like a baton for Aqua.

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Break Time is an attack command that can be used by Sora. It randomly allows the user to recover their own and their Spirits' HP, recover half of a bar on the Drop Gauge and reset its drain speed, or fill their Spirits' Link Gauges. It uses one slot in the Command Deck and has a reload time of 50 seconds.
