Guard is an ability that Sora can use in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts coded. In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days the ability is known as Block, and is an ability panel. It is one of the most invaluable abilities in each game. It is triggered using 
in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II and the Y button in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. In Kingdom Hearts coded, you can use a Guard License upon the acquisition of the Hero's License.
It can not only deflect enemy attacks, but it also bounces back projectiles (Fat Bandit's fireballs, Fortuneteller's icicles, etc.)
Also, some enemies have moves or abilities similar to Guard (ex: Large Body's stomach).
Kingdom Hearts
Description
Guard against an enemy attack by pressing the button.
Obtaining
The level at which Sora learns Guard depends on the weapon chosen at the Awakening:
- Dream Sword: LV. 36[KH I]/LV. 24[KH I FM]
- Dream Rod: LV. 24[KH I]/LV. 33[KH I FM]
- Dream Shield: LV. 9[KH I]/LV. 15[KH I FM]
Kingdom Hearts II
Description
Blocks and shoots back enemy attacks using a parrying action with .
Obtaining
- Defeat the Twilight Thorn as Roxas.
- Available to Limit Form.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
The Block ability can be equipped with two different panels, Block ② and Block ④. It can be leveled up by linking Block LV+ panels. Leveling up Block reduces the recoil distance when successfully blocking an attack.
Description
Allows you to block and bounce back enemy attacks by pressing Y.
Obtaining
- Block ②: Awarded as a Clear Bonus for Mission 07.
- Block ④: Avaliable for one-time purchase of 2400 Heart Points once Master Rank is obtained.
Linkable Panels
- Block LV+ Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel and raises its level.
- Perfect Block Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to block just as an attack hits to eliminate recoil.
- Block-Counter Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to respond with a powerful counterattack immediately after blocking.
- Block-Retreat Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to recoil farther after you block an attack.
- Sliding Block Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to quickly slide forward as you block.
- Block-Jump Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to jump right after you block without any delay.
- Fire Block Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to ignite enemies sometimes when you block.
- Blizzard Block Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to freeze enemies sometimes when you block.
- Thunder Block Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to jolt enemies sometimes when you block.
- Aero Block Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to air-toss enemies sometimes when you block.
- Block Bonus Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to generate HP prizes sometimes when you block.
- Round Block Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to block any attack, even if it comes from behind.
- Auto-Block Ⓛ: Links to a Block panel. Allows you to automatically block frontal attacks.
