Music[edit]

A large part of the point is having the actual song names. Please do not be uploading the songs until you know the official name, since they'll have to be deleted and reuploaded. Thank you!Glorious CHAOS! 07:31, February 17, 2010 (UTC)

Xehanort[edit]

Regardless of the fact that neither of those are valid sources (wikipedia and imdb are both publicly editable), the correct action is not to tell me, it is to post the reference as a citation in the article itself.Glorious CHAOS! 14:58, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

"Undo perfectly good edits"[edit]

  • Bad edit - speculation
  • Bad edit - used a non-source
  • Bad edit - speculation
  • Bad edit - replaced with incorrectly named image of no improved quality, and removed part of the infobox

Instead of complaining that you are being "oppressed", listen to the other editors about what you did wrong, and improve yourself. That is what all of the constant editors did, and that's how they become mods in the first place.Glorious CHAOS! 03:17, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

Not trying to change it. Just giving you advice in the hopes that you'll become a better editor.Glorious CHAOS! 18:03, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

Sunset horizons[edit]

The thing that's really striking me is that you're linking me to the Kingdom Hearts II soundtrack. If you want to put in a music box for Sunset Horizons in KHII, be my guest. But the BBS soundtrack is not out yet, to my knowledge, so we'll not be putting in speculation, thank you.Glorious CHAOS! 19:17, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

They changed "Dearly Beloved", didn't they? It was originally a minute song, then in KHII it's two minutes. Regardless, you're guessing. It's the definition of speculation. Either wait until the soundtrack is released, or don't edit those sections.Glorious CHAOS! 19:25, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
[1], also [2]
Again: Either wait for the official soundtrack, or leave the sections alone. It's speculation, and there is absolutely no need to have the names up until we can verify them.Glorious CHAOS! 21:11, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

Command Styles[edit]

Hey Erry, Do You Think You Can Upload images of the Style Changes? For Example: Fire Blazer, Diamond Dust ect.

Can you upload a screenshot of a simple Command Style (like Magic Wish or Fatal Mode), so I can see what it looks like?
Also, how do you plan to get the keyblades in higher resolution? --ShardofTruth 14:53, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Deep Freeze[edit]

Geez, man, not everything I write in the comments is directed at you. Sometimes I write at the world in general. Usually, actually. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:57, September 28, 2010 (UTC)

Honestly, if it wasn't, I'd be really impressed.
Here's my deal: I'm a big fan of two things in articles— consistency in formatting, and complete and accurate information. Now I don't really care what anyone does in articles that haven't had any formatting done—since we are gonna have to revise them anyway—so long as it's correct and doesn't come off as terrible writing, but on articles that have already been rewritten and given their formatting, it really grinds my gears when someone flat-out ignores what we've been trying to do.
Now, the Deck Command articles need to be taken seriously. We still don't have a set format for how to "learn" any of them, since there are so many methods (i.e. drops, melding, moogle shop, treasure chests, prizes, command board), so pretty anything anyone puts there is going to be fairly non-helpful. Other details, such as slots, level, reload times, etc. go in the lead (see Blitz or Strike Raid), or in a "Mechanics" section, which I intend to start adding to articles for attack abilities/sleights/deck commands.
I know I'm kinda stepping on your work, but I want you to understand how we're trying to be as complete as possible, and how being vague (and redundant) isn't lending itself to that. If you have details, don't hesitate to stick them in the talk page until we have a plan, or even suggest a format there.
I'm not telling you not to edit, just to be aware that you're not editing in a vacuum, and you have to take a bit of care. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 15:37, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

message box.[edit]

I was hoping I could get a message box now if it's not too much trouble. Perhaps the top box could be silver or grey and the bottom blue? I was hoping the message could be on the bottom and at the top it would say You're mixing your truths with your theories. And for the pic, the head from the pic I add. I hope it's not too much trouble. Also, how do I use it?--You're mixing your truths with your theories 16:02, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I really appreaciate it! ^^ And sorry for all the trouble. --You're mixing your truths with your theories 12:41, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Uhh... okay do you have a settings that would make the sound and graphic better? After I start a new game, Namine say "Sayonara"(don't know if I spelled it right) or "Thank You", right? But the game kept breaking so it would result as, "S... Sayona...Sayonara...Sayonara..." The game may not be compatible enough here in DeSMUME.

You deleted my entry. I have the link to back me up. I am however looking for the links button as we speak. I can't add to the "Nobodies" page now for some reason though. Please do not delete my entry next time.

Zero/One[edit]

What is the English Multi6, and why would we be trusting it with names? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 16:38, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

So basically it's an unofficial translation, right? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 17:05, October 13, 2010 (UTC)
...hmm. The data is there, but I still don't like that we are essentially relying on hacked info.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 18:49, October 13, 2010 (UTC)
Wait, is this from a ROM again? We can't be exploiting piracy like that.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 18:49, October 13, 2010 (UTC)
It is possible to rip data from the original Japanese game - that is not really the issue here. However, it's unethical for us to be encouraging piracy for our own gain, though we're not going to report anyone for it. For dub names, yes, we traditionally wait for the dub to be released.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 21:32, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Nobodies[edit]

Sir, I'll have you know it is properly spelled "kiddie". I am mortally offended. I demand satisfaction! (I accept all major credit cards and cheese sandwiches. At dawn!) --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 01:03, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

Argh, you're taking this too seriously... But alright, I'll try to be less antagonistic in my comments. Sound good? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 04:20, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

RCO Keyblades[edit]

Are you getting the English Keyblade names from that Multi6 thing? I know that, at least in the Japanese, the levels' names are slightly different than what you typed.

Also, can you implement something to indicate when each ability is unlocked? Like, say, different-colored fonts for each level? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 17:20, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

Pea's chart doesn't include level names, except where I've added them myself. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 17:25, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
I'm moving these to User:Erry/Re:coded Keyblades, because the template needs to be rewritten first, and a standard for the templates filled out. The work is good, though, so I definitely want it to be kept until it can be put back out.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 13:09, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Xigbar's Arrowguns[edit]

XMbQaeM.png
ShardofTruth Once you believe, truth and lie are quite the same thing. — 15:03, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
Game Clear Data KHRECOM.png Okay, here are some answers to your questions, but I'm no expert on this topic, so some of this could be wrong or outdated:
  • NDS model ripping. There are two major difficulties with such tasks
    • the model files (bmd0 files) are packed inside p2 containers (at least in 358/2 Days case), but there is no real unpack tool available. It was very complicated to get the model files in 358/2 Days case and I deleted most of the stuff I used back then, because nearly all of it was garbage.
    • viewing the models is another big problem. 358/2 Days bmd0 models use custom bone opcodes. Because of that all NDS models viewers I know won't display most of the ingame models correctly. That wasn't a problem until I got to Xigar's weapons, because all the other weapons are either flat and can be recreated easily with the textures or are very simple built. Xigar's weapons though have to be displayed 3D to get a good look at them. I contacted a programmer of the best viewer available (the NSBMD tool), but he couldn't help me either.

If you're hoping to get the new Re:coded enemy models this way, you're most likely out of luck. If I remember correctly only two enemy models of 358/2 Days were displayed right, the others were so badly deformed you wouldn't even recognize them. But you're free to try it yourself, maybe you can come up with a solution or find a better viewer. There are different versions of the NSBMD tool available, some of them might be more helpful with specific models than others. I put the one in the archive, I used the most along with Xigbar's weapon models. I have all the other models somewhere, but I cant find them at the moment. The guys at the Spriters Resource can help you futher (especially Barubaryhe, is a real pro.)

  • Extracting textures from Birth by Sleep: This is a rather delicate matter, so I won't send you any game files, just explain how to get what you want.
    • At first you have make an iso of your copy of BBS, the BBS0.dat, BBS1.dat, BBS2.dat, BBS3.dat and BBS4.dat are the files were are looking for. They store pratically all game data (models, sounds, textures etc.).
    • Getting the texture files is a lot easier now. Dsfgd wrote a script for QuickBMS which extracts every texture file in the corresponding dat file. You can find it here.
    • Now the tm2 files have only be converted to a normal image format. The mesh2rdm tool is the easiest way to do so.
    • Another thing: the BBS1.dat, BBS2.dat and BBS3.dat are encrypted. You have to decrypt them first if you want to get the game files out of it. This thread should help.

KH2 Keyblades[edit]

I had to revert a few of these, because too much detail was lost. For the ones where we had a grey-background at one point, would it be possible for you to do the transparency based on that? It should give you more room to edit without erasing details.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 14:01, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

Also, for the Bond of Flame, there's a few dots in the Keychain that need to be cleaned. Could you get that, and keep an eye out on the other Keyblades for similar problems?(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 14:02, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

We've had to place them in a gallery on the Vanitas page due to their size, which I don't want to do. Is there anyway to re-upload smaller versions, at about 200px widths?(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 23:58, October 26, 2010 (UTC)
