On February 2, 2017, Funko officially announced the upcoming release of the first series of Kingdom Hearts-themed figures, setting their release for April 2017.

Pop! Disney: Kingdom Hearts is a series of collectible vinyl figurines created by Funko. Their designs are based on several characters' appearances in the Kingdom Hearts series. The various figures are part of Funko's continuing Pop! Vinyl collectible figures, and as such has series numbers assigned.

Appearance

Each figurine is about three and three-fourths inches tall and features characters in their outfits from the Kingdom Hearts series. Like most Pop! Figures, these have comparatively larger heads and notably small black eyes. The King Mickey, Sora, Kairi, and Riku figures are based on their appearances in Kingdom Hearts II specifically. King Mickey's left hand holds a vinyl Kingdom Key D, which is part of the figure and can't be removed, while Donald and Goofy each hold the Mage's Staff and Knight's Shield respectively.

Release

First Series

The first series of figures were leaked in a Gamestop pre-order listing, with an employee taking a picture of the listing and posting it online in early December 2016. The following week, the release date was leaked from GameStop's preorder system as March 15, 2017. Images of the King Mickey figure were first posted on Funko Pop News, a non-official website for Funko Pop figures, in late Janurary 2017, alongside images of the Goody and Hot Topic-exclusive Donald figures. On February 2, 2017, Funko officially announced the upcoming release of the first series of Kingdom Hearts-themed figures, setting their release for April 2017.

In June 2017, Funko announced the second series of the collection, which would include several original characters.
