We had a whole debate over this on the previous talk page before someone remade the article. I guess I have to restate my reason why this is Vanitas' X-Blade: "It has been brought to my attention that some people feel that the X-Blade should not be put under Vanitas' ownership. I feel that since it has only been wielded by Vanitas, it is ok to assume rightful ownership to him. If someone were to wield it in the future, this article will have to be changed to "X-Blade", but seeing as it has only been wielded by Vanitas, I feel it should stay the same. What are your thoughts on this?" (directly pasted from the other page) and LegoAlchemist has stated: "I think that, for know, with the information that we have, we should leave it under Vanitas's X-Blade. I mean, He is the only person that wields it (Ventus not counting, because Vanitas was probably possessing his body). So until we learn it's official name, we should leave it as is." There are some reasons, but its whatever you guys want to do, I've had more than enough of my share of debating with you...

I agree with you, Saxisai, and I know you have been battling over this for a while. And thanks for posting my argument. And in the future, to the one who made the article Vanitas's X-Blade, use the option "Move" at the top of the page rather than completely starting a new article. That way, all of the previous discussions remain in the talk page, and everyone's happy.

Look at the katakana...It's pronounced the same as "Keyblade". "Kii" is another pronunciation of chi. And the page was moved because the Latin X and the Greek chi are actually different letters. Now it's at [Chi]-Blade and not [X]-Blade.—Urutapu 23:06, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

But it says that the page has been moved from X-Blade to X-Blade...but it is the exact same thing...so, why did the page have to be moved? Couldn't the information on the page just be changed? I get that the pronunciation of the title has changed, but its not noticeable in the spelling...

The pronouciation symbol on the page indicates a long "i", making it 'kai', but why is the same symbol used to show the pronounciation of Keyblade? As more the page being moved, Saxisai, judging from the URL in IE, i'd say someone actually used the Greek letter in the name, which seems like taking it too far to me.

Saxisai, a capital X and a capital chi look exactly the same but are actually different characters. Case in point: lowercase x versus lowercase χ. And as for the pronunciation, as I said in the history: Not in Japanese romanization. The macron doesn't mean "long i sound" (i.e. "eye") but "the Japanese i sound but longer" (i.e. "ee"). And there's no reason not to use the Greek letter, Neumannz. It's not an X. Besides, the Japanese subtitles (I'm not expecting you to go spoil yourself watching an endgame cutscene, just trust me) obviously use a chi and not an X.—Urutapu 00:25, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

True, the incomplete blade is destroyed by Ventus, and Aqua destroys the real thing when fighting Ven-itas, but we have no source stating that it formed Mickey's and Sora's Kingdom Key, at least that I know of.

TALK - The name is a pun. "X" is both the Greek letter "Chi", pronounced "Key", and the shape of the Keyblade itself. Its unique nature seems to make it serve as a proto-Keyblade, so it fits - it's the "Keyblade" that's not a Keyblade.
