Dark Haze

Terra using Dark Haze in Radiant Garden.

Dark Haze (ダークヘイズ, Dāku Heizu) is a technique exclusive to Terra in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. The user cloaks themselves in darkness, then charges their enemies. This attack has a small chance to inflict instant death after a five second period.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Dark Haze is an Advanced attack command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 4, a normal reload time of 15 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 40%.

• Terra can create Dark Haze through Command Melding.
• Terra can acquire Dark Haze from a chest found in Mermaid Lagoon.
• Terra can purchase Dark Haze from the Command Shop for 1100 munny once eight worlds are cleared or the command has already been obtained elsewhere.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Dark Haze is an Advanced-class Attack Command that can be melded through three different recipes, listed in the Mega Attack Recipe.

• The first recipe can only be melded by Terra, and is a type A recipe.
• Fire Dash (LV3) + Blackout (LV3)
• The second recipe can only be melded by Terra, and is a type D recipe.
• Zero Gravira (LV3) + Fire Dash (LV3)
• The third recipe can only be melded by Terra, and is a type C recipe.
• Zero Gravity (LV3) + Fire Surge (LV3)

Other appearances

Terra-Xehanort inherits a faster variation of this technique from Terra, and uses it during his boss battle as his Slide maneuver although without the doom effect. He also often uses it twice in a row with the second version having a different animation.
