Break Time (ブレイクタイム Bureiku Taimu ) is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, it allows the user to heal HP and fill the Focus Gauge by pressing at the right time when prompted. In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, it will restore HP to the user and Spirits, refill the Drop Gauge, or reset the drain speed of the Drop Gauge.
Mechanics
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Break Time is an Advanced attack command that takes up one slot in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 4, and a normal reload time of 20 seconds.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Break Time is an attack command that uses one slot in the Command Deck.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
- Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can create Break Time through Command Melding.
- Terra, Ventus, and Aqua can find Break Time in a chest at Pete's Rec Room.
Recipes
Break Time is an Advanced-class Attack Command that can be melded through four different recipes, listed in the Mega Attack Recipe.
- The first recipe can only be melded by Aqua, and is a type N recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming from Slot Edge when melding.
- Curaga (LV2) + Focus Barrier (LV2)
- The second recipe can be melded by Terra and Ventus, and is a type N recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming from Slot Edge when melding.
- Curaga (LV2) + Focus Block (LV2)
- The third recipe can only be melded by Aqua, and is a type N recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming from Slot Edge when melding.
- Curaga (LV2) + Renewal Barrier (LV2)
- The fourth recipe can be melded by Terra and Ventus, and is a type N recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming from Slot Edge when melding.
- Curaga (LV2) + Renewal Block (LV2)
Button Press
Depending on how fast you press the amount of HP and Focus recovered varies:
- If you press and it's either "Too Slow" or "Too Fast", only half of the normal amount is recovered.
- If you get "Good", the normal amount is recovered.
- If you get "Excellent", double the normal amount is recovered.
Variations
Depending on who you play as, the animation will vary:
- Terra will do handstand push ups.
- Ventus will throw his Keyblade in the air and breakdance for a short period of time.
- Aqua will twirl her Keyblade in her hand like a baton, ending with twirling it around her body.
