The Aero element is associated with the Gust material and the Air-toss status effect. In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, it is the opposite of Thunder.

In Kingdom Hearts series, both allies and enemies can use Aero element. However, in some games, it is only available to enemies. Aero often appeared to player as a series of Aero spells, however, the effects of Aero spells differ around games. Some party members can also use Aero spells, either its adaptations and original. In some games, other Aero-element attacks are also available for player, such as Tornado, Aero Raid, and Cyclone. In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, the power of Aero can be raised by Aero +1 chips.
