Shop Tables
Well I agree with their addition, I do not believe that the Moogle shop tables should not be added to the Moogle article.  I feel a more suiting place for them would be the Moogle Shop article.  To me, it just makes more sense to have the shop info in the shop article, and merely have a section on the Moogle page with a "Main Article:Moogle Shop".  I'm really just assuming that the intention was to put them on this page as the above links were on the Moogle talk page.  The Inexistentsig 15:35, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
:The intention was to put them on this page because the story sections are basically summaries of the Moogle Shop. However, if someone wants to simplify those down and move the info to Moogle Shop, that's fine. 15:49, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
::Done, but some reformating is in order, if anyone has any suggestions.  The Inexistentsig 16:50, 18 July 2011 (EDT)

Synthesize
FFXIII-2 Mog "Main Character"?
This is a list of everything that you can synthesize at the Moogle Shop. All Item and Magic Panels can be synthesized repeatedly, whereas Ring Panels can only be synthesized if you don't already have one. The currency used for synthesis is Munny. Items and spells that require a recipe are added to the list as soon as you obtain at least one copy of the recipe.
Why is FFXIII-2 Mog listed as a main character? He is a support character if we want to classify his role in the game. If he was the main character we would control him, and lots of the story would centre around him which in his case isn't.Kaimi (talk) 20:02, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
{|cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 border=0 align="center"
:That's like saying Yeul isn't a main character. 20:46, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
|
::For me "main characters", "protagonists", or how else you want to call them are playable characters. Yeul at best is to be called an important character.Kaimi (talk) 07:40, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
<div class="tabber" style="float: right;">
:::Well, the important thing is that that is not the actual accepted definitions. The protagonist or main characters are those from whose viewpoints the story is told; Riku and Kairi are main characters in KHII because we are shown parts of the story from their PoV, even though we don't necessarily play as them. Playable characters are pretty much by definition protagonists/main characters, but it is not an identical concept. 03:18, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Moogles Names
Some of the names on the KHII list are moogles from the final fantasy series, but don't have their own individual pages. (ie. Monty is a moogle in FFIX) However, their name does appear on the ff moogle page in some sections. Should the moogles who have a name that comes from ff but doesn't have an individual page on the ff wiki, be linked the section their name appears in on the moogle page on the ff wiki? 19:07, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
:Seems like the FF Wiki should create the respective redirects, but we can use piped links if that's not possible. 22:01, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
x
in unchained, the Moogle builds a Moogle model gummi ship using leftover blocks from donald and goofys ship, then States that it will start setting up shops across the worlds, implying that Moogle are native to daybreak town. it's kind of a bootstrap paradox. 02:43, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
:I think you're reading too much into it. This scene just reinforces the point that the Moogle is a greedy bastard who deserves no happiness. In [chi] the Moogle is responsible for almost every event. He wants honey, so he starts a "hunny" event, he wants flowers so he starts a flower event etc., just so you can trade these things in the conveniently called "trade shop" for stuff you find actually useful. The 1st Anniversary event was no different, most of the blocks you collected were actually for the Moogle who opened up new shop options every time you reached a goal. You needed to collect literally thousands upon thousand gummi blocks for him, while Goofy and Donald only required a fraction. In the end it was extremely satisfying to watch this scene. Try better next time Moogle. -- 09:24, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
::Ah. Well, we should still mention it on the Moogle Model page. 01:30, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Redeem
Capitalization
This is a list of everything that you can obtain at the Moogle Shop by collecting Challenge Sigils and Mission Crowns. The Redeem option is not unlocked until the first time you talk to Xomg from Day 71 onwards. You don't cash the Sigils/Crowns in to trade for the items; you just obtain the items when you have enough Sigils/Crowns. Not all rewards are available initially, so you have to wait until the rewards are unlocked to actually get them, even if you have the requisite number of Sigils/Crowns. Obviously, the number of available Sigils/Crowns is limited by the number of Unity Badges () and Ordeal Badges/Blazons () you have, which in turn largely depends on what Day you have reached in Story Mode.
Quick question: Why are is the word "Moogle" capitalize? In the Final Fantasy series and in the KH series, the "M" in "moogles" are lowercased (see Jiminy's journal or any FF game). As such, shouldn't we lowercase it, as well?-- 23:17, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Days[edit]

As they're wearing cloaks, do you think they might be nobody moogles? Myself 123 21:51, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Personally, I believe that the Cloaked Moogles are using the cloaks to protect them from Darkness. It appears that the main transportation in Days is through the Corridors of Darkness and the Black Cloak is noted for protection against Darkness.
Could be. Myself 123 17:22, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Organization XIII Moogle Image[edit]

I uploaded an image of the Organization XIII Moogle, but I'm not really sure what to do about the edges? The image is taken from a screenshot of the game. Oblivionkeeper 03:24, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Days Job[edit]

I know what a Moogle does in Days. Should I add this, so long as I don't screw up the formatting? Endless Oblivion

I quote[edit]

The first time you speak to a Moogle in a new room you will receive a free card packet consisting of five different attack cards.

Though this doesn't seem to be the case at Castle Oblivion for me. Consider this : I'm now in LV76 and I've obtained almost all attack cards (with the exception of Ultima Weapon) and instead of giving me a free card pack first, it prompts me to cash in cards for points. Then it gives me a card pack. Or sometimes, it doesn't.

And note : I'm not playing the English release of Re:Chain, but the extension of KHIIFM+. TNÉ En avant Bravo ! 11:42, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

Organization Moogle Page[edit]

Morghman - Now! Let's savor the utmost of suffering together!
TALK - As the other dies, their agony radiates through my body, and living through it is pure ecstasy!
I just finished Days on Proud,(no biggy), and I noticed that the Moogle seen on the coat is one individual, therefore I suggest we create a page for this Moogle. Who would deny this little bundle of joy his own page? Any objections?

Nitrous X Talk! — Then I shall make you see...That your hopes are nothing. Nothing but a mere illusion!

Don't I even warrant a hello, Lexaeus?

I have no objections, this Moogle is definitely an individual. But, some other users probably would since there's not a whole bunch of info on the page.

KrytenKoro - You should have figured out whether bodies age without their hearts, Nomura.
TALK -
We don't really have sections on the individual Moogles from 1, Com, and 2, though. It would be a good idea to cover what we do know about the characters here (Org Moogle does not have enough info for its own page, but would work well here), and have shop listings and mechanics on the Moogle Shop page.
DaysZexion.png

Huh... I always thought that the moogles from KH1, CoM, and KH2 weren't individual moogles but a multitude of moogles. Maybe the Organization Moogle will appear in a future installment with more information... even though he (or she) wasn't in Days that much, they're still one of my favorite characters.

After Days[edit]

What do you think happened to the Organization XIII Moogle after the events of Days?

IT BLEW UP AND DIED! Kidding, I don't know. Maybe it went back to the Orgy and we just don't see it again after that.--User:PrincessAndie8thprincessofheart/sig 22:25, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

How dark, Andie. I hope that he's the Moogle that lives in Twilight Town in KH2. In the Fanon I'm writing, I have Roxas and the Moogle reunite as friends after the events of KH2 (Roxas gets ressurected).

A Quote I need[edit]

I really need some help here. Can someone tell me (word for word) what the Moogle in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days says after he and Roxas escape the Organization and return to Twilight Town. Something about missing his Munny. Please help!

How do you even get the Moogle to talk to you? Every time I go up to it, it says that it has new stuff to sell.--User:PrincessAndie8thprincessofheart/sig 22:26, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

To get him to say something different you have to either unlock Mickey or Sora, or talk to him right before you fight Xion for the first time

I guess I have to unlock Mickey or Sora, because right before I fought Xion the first time he still said the good stuff thing.--User:PrincessAndie8thprincessofheart/sig 22:34, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

I got it last night.

Moogles don't have names in this series, do they? Then why does it say "Mog" and "Elmina" appear in KH2???

TerraCharm.pngThat's because, if one looks carefully at the shops when they enter one, they'll see "Mog's Shop" in the far corner or something like that. Those are the names of the Moogles that run said shop. So yes, they are named.

710MS.png It's true. I remember a Moogle named Artemicion being in Space Paranoids. (I don't know why Artemicion did not have her own Data appearance, while the Moogle in Timeless River had his own Retro Form. More confusing is that the Moogle in Halloween Town did not have it's own Halloween/Christmas form like Sora and his friends did there).

Also, in the second trip to the Pride Lands, you can't visit the Moogle there at all! When you reach the Oaises, you are warped back to Pride Rock after Simba rejoins the party. (I would go kill Heartless with Lucky Lucky equiped, until I have at least 50 of each, then once I have defeated Groundshaker, I would give all of the loot to Artemicion in Space Paranoids!)

Original Character?[edit]

Organization 13 - I'd rather we just skip the formalities.
TALK - How I love a game!
I know that Moogles are Final Fantasy characters but is there any way the Organization XIII Moogle could be called an original character?

Not really, they're still the same species, the only difference is this one's wearing clothes.

Issues with article[edit]

  • "Appearances" section should be reworked into "Story"
    • Needs to be in-universe (No "In Kingdom Hearts II", etc.)
    • "Furthermore, a Moogle falls on Donald Duck after completing Neverland." -- the Furthermore sounds ridiculous.
    • "An unnamed Moogle" -- Moogles, as a general rule, are unnamed. "Unnamed" should not be used as a descriptor, since it doesn't specify anything. Only the named ones should be called out.
    • "When Sora speaks to the Moogle in the First District in Traverse Town, it is revealed that Pinocchio enjoys ruffling the Moogles' pom-poms." -- change to "According to the Moogle in the First District[link], Pinocchio etc."
    • "—The Organization Moogle, quoting Xemnas when asked what its name is." -- change to, "The Moogle, channeling Xemnas."
    • "In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, a Moogle appears in various locations throughout the worlds, always donning a Black Cloak." -- this is incorrect. It appears only at the Grey Room and the Station Plaza.
    • Each section should include a divved table, based on SorcererNobody's draft (as used on Avatar Menu) that details all the things the Moogle sells, synthesizes, or redeems. SN's draft has this done for Days already, I believe.
      • "In order to unlock The King and Sora for playability the Multiplayer Mode, they must be purchased from the Moogle." -- would be unnecessary.
      • The section should have a quick summary of the types of items that can be obtained from each method, if that is feasible. Something like what is done with Treasure Chest.
    • "While the Moogle appears to hold some relationship to Organization XIII, as exemplified by its black coat, it is unknown if it is affiliated with them. For example, the Moogle flees the Organization with Roxas, saying that he would miss all the munny he spends at his shop, seemingly more interested in simply collecting munny rather than serving Organization XIII." -- WRONG.
      • It clearly has a relationship, it is set up in their lounge.
      • This should be worded to focus more on that it does not serve Xemnas, and instead followed its best Org. customer, Roxas, due to its love of munny.
    • "In Kingdom Hearts II, the Moogles use holograms to run their synthesis shops, except for Mog in Radiant Garden and Elmina in Twilight Town. According to Jiminy's Journal, it is because they hate getting their pom-poms ruffled." -- I believe Moogles have hologram shops in BbS, too, indicating that this is the natural way. This should be in the lead, with a direct citation to the Journal. Something like, "Moogles usually operate their shops on other worlds through hologram, as they dislike customers ruffling their Pom-poms."
    • "The Moogles also appear outside of synthesis shops as well. While on Destiny Islands, Selphie's purse has a Moogle clip attached to it. In addition, there is a special Gummi ship modeled after a Moogle." -- should be in other appearances, or something similar.
  • "Appearance" needs to be "Design", and should be combined with "Origin"
  • Party navbox should be removed.
  • World-based categories should be removed, since Moogles appear on pretty much all worlds.
  • We need a rip of the Moogle Gummi Ship
  • Dissidia section is missing mention of the Mognet, and we should see if the Mognet has references to the KHverse.

Heartless Emblem.pngOk I did most of what I could. All that's left are:
  • "Appearances" section should be reworked into "Story"
    • I did what I could, but I'm not sure if it's considered as a story section.
  • Each section should include a divved table, based on SorcererNobody's draft (as used on Avatar Menu) that details all the things the Moogle sells, synthesizes, or redeems. SN's draft has this done for Days already, I believe.
  • The section should have a quick summary of the types of items that can be obtained from each method, if that is feasible. Something like what is done with Treasure Chest.
  • "Appearance" needs to be "Design", and should be combined with "Origin"
    • I kinda disagree with this. Moogles are alive, animate beings, and are considered characters, so you wouldn't 'design' a Moogle same way you wouldn't 'design' Axel. Also, I see no reason as to why Appearance (or Design if that fits your chiz) should be combined with Origin.
  • We need a rip of the Moogle Gummi Ship
  • Dissidia section is missing mention of the Mognet, and we should see if the Mognet has references to the KHverse.

You mean something like this? EDIT: Sorceror Nobody has something similar to what we're looking for here.

Shop Tables[edit]

Well I agree with their addition, I do not believe that the Moogle shop tables should not be added to the Moogle article. I feel a more suiting place for them would be the Moogle Shop article. To me, it just makes more sense to have the shop info in the shop article, and merely have a section on the Moogle page with a "Main Article:Moogle Shop". I'm really just assuming that the intention was to put them on this page as the above links were on the Moogle talk page. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 15:35, 18 July 2011 (EDT)

The intention was to put them on this page because the story sections are basically summaries of the Moogle Shop. However, if someone wants to simplify those down and move the info to Moogle Shop, that's fine."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:49, 18 July 2011 (EDT)
Done, but some reformating is in order, if anyone has any suggestions. KRCCFNF is tired of being STEPPED ON. 16:50, 18 July 2011 (EDT)

FFXIII-2 Mog "Main Character"?[edit]

Why is FFXIII-2 Mog listed as a main character? He is a support character if we want to classify his role in the game. If he was the main character we would control him, and lots of the story would centre around him which in his case isn't.—Kaimi (talk) 20:02, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

That's like saying Yeul isn't a main character. You have wormed your way to the very nadir of repugnance. - Erry 20:46, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
For me "main characters", "protagonists", or how else you want to call them are playable characters. Yeul at best is to be called an important character.—Kaimi (talk) 07:40, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Well, the important thing is that that is not the actual accepted definitions. The protagonist or main characters are those from whose viewpoints the story is told; Riku and Kairi are main characters in KHII because we are shown parts of the story from their PoV, even though we don't necessarily play as them. Playable characters are pretty much by definition protagonists/main characters, but it is not an identical concept."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 03:18, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Moogles Names[edit]

Some of the names on the KHII list are moogles from the final fantasy series, but don't have their own individual pages. (ie. Monty is a moogle in FFIX) However, their name does appear on the ff moogle page in some sections. Should the moogles who have a name that comes from ff but doesn't have an individual page on the ff wiki, be linked the section their name appears in on the moogle page on the ff wiki? Seems like the FF Wiki should create the respective redirects, but we can use piped links if that's not possible."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:01, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

x[edit]

in unchained, the Moogle builds a Moogle model gummi ship using leftover blocks from donald and goofys ship, then States that it will start setting up shops across the worlds, implying that Moogle are native to daybreak town. it's kind of a bootstrap paradox. "We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:43, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

I think you're reading too much into it. --ShardofTruth 09:24, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
Ah. Well, we should still mention it on the Moogle Model page."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:30, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Capitalization[edit]

Quick question: Why are is the word "Moogle" capitalize? In the Final Fantasy series and in the KH series, the "M" in "moogles" are lowercased (see Jiminy's journal or any FF game). As such, shouldn't we lowercase it, as well?--NinjaSheik 23:17, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Training Cup[edit]

The Flick Rush training cup's team owner is "Mog", implying that the Moogle who runs the tournament is Mog from KH2."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:42, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
