Guard is an ability that Sora can use in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts coded. In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days the ability is known as Block, and is an ability panel. It is one of the most useful abilities in both games. It is triggered using Square. In Kingdom Hearts coded, you can use a Guard License upon the acquisition of the Hero's License.

It can not only deflect enemy attacks, but it also shoots back projectiles (Fat Bandit's fireballs, Fortuneteller's icicles, etc.)

Also, some enemies have moves or parts similar to Guard (ex: Large Body's stomach).
