Guard is an ability that Sora can use in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. Organization XIII can also use various forms of it in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It is one of the most useful abilities in both games. It is triggered using

It can not only deflect enemy attacks, but it also shoots back projectiles (Fat Bandit's fireballs, Fortuneteller's icicles, etc.)
Also, some enemies have moves or parts similar to Guard (ex: Large Body's stomach).
